“Lovely people, lovely place, incredibly delicious food! Ingredients are very fresh, often from the local farmers market. There are both very creative dishes and classics on the menu. The Queensboro is a special restaurant that not only cares about the quality of their food and atmosphere, but also sincerely cares about the community.Kid-friendliness: Roomy and fun space that is very comfortable for those bringing children. “SEARCH NO MORE for your next intimate & fun party venue! CHARLIE'S, The Bonnie's sister bar right next door was everything I dreamed of and more for my 30th Birthday party. Let me set the scene for ya'll... 35 of my closest friends, Game of Thrones themed decor & fits, cocktails that made everyone say "I drink and I know things" and the most fire food in the neighborhood... the party was a SLAY. Tali, the company's event coordinator, is the sweetest, most hard-working, and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to your event. She even went above and beyond to surprise me with a GOT themed menu by naming my cocktails after details of life. For example, she named the spicy margarita after my dog, "Kevyn the Kingslayer." COME ON! How amazing is that?!Speaking of cocktails... the incredible bartender, Olivia, bartended Red Witch magic with the amazing cocktails she made for everyone. She even dressed along with the theme, with her sword, serving vibes that was giving Night's Watch combined with Red Keep of the Bar. Everyone kept raving about every cocktail she made with style and care. When it comes to the food, The Bonnie always delivers, so of course my hopes were high for Charlie's. AND MY HOPES WERE MET! The ham and cheese toastie platter was delicious. The franks in a blanket were some of the best I've ever had. The beef sliders were a HUGE hit. And there were veggie options so we had the veggie quesadilla and the mac and cheese bites which were a crowd favorite.Overall, this party at Charlie's made me feel like Daenerys Targaryen on top of her Throne, like the Queen that was promised. Thank you to the Bonnie's manager Gerard for popping in to see if everything was going smoothly as well! That was so sweet. To The Bonnie/Charlie's staff - Tali, Olivia, Gerard, barbacks - Marvin & Pascual, and the talented chefs/kitchen staff, thank you so much! Your hospitality is EPIC!“

“Everything about this place was great. We did brunch. We were late but they were very accommodating even with a packed house. Bottomless drinks was great. They were constantly refilling our glasses and we were able to make the most out of it. Food was delicious too. Pancake burger was a must try. Will go back again.“

“My group had a great time at Sweet Afton. We went there on a Wednesday evening (7PM). We booked reservations through Resy, but was able to find a great table when we got there. Our server was very cool and gave us pretty good tips on food to order, was okay with asking the chef for modifications to our order, and was attentive to our needs.I always have a good time at Sweet Afton, so happy to say that the service and food/drinks are staying consistently well.“

“I stopped doing reviews in maps, but after eating this dish I felt I had to share this hidden gem. The medium rare stake is one of the best meat dishes I have tasted lately. High quality meat, well cooked and the cauliflower combination is a gift to the soul. Definitely if you go you need to try “

“For an American restaurant with a kinda Korean influence, this is the spot. Burgers, appetizers, pizza, and etc., all in a western menu type with a Korean twist.A must get is the bushwick buldak which a pizza with rice cake and fried chicken pieces. The sauce is included with Korean spices that take it to the next level. Tots not pictured are also a great get and you can’t sleep on their fried chicken which is really juicy with tons of flavor. If you can handle a little spice I’d try toe gochunjung over soy garlic, had both, but think the gochunjung is a bit more unique.Fun fact the dough made by all the pizza was from a starter that the previous owner of the spot Faro used and sort of pays homage to them, which is a cool story to tell. The vibes are cool with r&b and hip hop playing in the background, fun place for a dinner with friends or a date.Staff was friendly and bathrooms clean. Will be coming back to try the burgers soon!“

“It is an excellent and unpretentious place for a girl's night out. We went on a Thursday they had Good music with enough volume to talk with your friends. Good food and curated coctails, I got the Parmesan sandwich on a hero, and it was freshly prepared and delicious plus it came with salad instead of French fries. ( good to cut your carbs ;)) the waiter was fun and kind.“

The waitress brings water too. Big open spaces feel free. I highly recommend! I see most of the pictures are old location, (not sure where it was) I'll update pictures next time.“

“We are a group of 8 from Queens and Long Island. We ordered the pre-fixe menu. The price was very reasonable and it offered a lot of food. The service was exceptional and the staff made us feel special. The atmosphere and the fine wine made us more comfortable and relaxed. The food was delicious, a special mention to the Bronzino and the Beignets! The restaurant and the experience were definitely worth the drive!“

“From the outside looking in, it appears as a "if you're not known don't come in" type of establishment. It's not! Don't let that fool you. The interior setup is rustic for lack of a better word. Definitely gives the place its vibe. Noise level is that of a constant chatter with some music in the background. I believe Gill hosted us and he was very helpful. We had two spicy margaritas and I enjoyed mine. My daughter's wasn't as hot as she had liked it or thought it would and Gill had no problem adjusting it for her. We ordered the guac and I'm not a fan of it. However, this one tasted good. I had the plantains and meat and mushroom ensemble. It's an appetizer and it was great. Blended well with each other. My daughter had the steak tacos and she loved it. Overall the price is what you make it. I enjoyed myself, my daughter got a new place to call home and I'll be back to visit Alcove.“

“Literally the most amazing place to grab drinks and bites on the block! Especially for a larger group of friends! The owner is a bad ass woman who you can catch a good vibe from behind the bar. The staff is the most welcoming, awesome group of people I've ever encountered in Brooklyn!! Shoutout to Russel, Ben, Nestor, and Amber who can whip up a mean cocktail and provide such welcoming service. The kitchen staff is also the best and always so friendly (you can catch them once and a while coming up the stairs) -food has always been fresh and consistent. My favorite menu items are the Caesar salad with chicken and their French onion soup! Amazing decor, complete vibe, and a pool table right in the front. This place is heaven.“

“Loved visiting this place with a friend for brunch! The food was great for the price and it has such a cozy vibe. The drinks are a good price as well during brunch and I would love to come back again alone or with friends. It’s small and the seating is a bit tight but it’s a good place to hang out. Definitely give it a try if you are in the area! The brunch burger was delicious and cooked how I like it but the main star for me were the truffle fries.“

“Not your run of the mill City Island restaurant, I hope Archies can survive through all these pandemic shut downs. The food was really quality, creative and curated compared to anything on city Island. They definitely would not sell tilapia Frankenfish here. I remember visiting one of the more stylish restaurant on City Island, I was so disappointed to see tilapia on the menu and I could not finish my food. I would recommend they do something to make make themselves stand out more. When I mention Archies, many Yacht club members that of been going to city Island forever say Arties?“

“If you're craving for Korean fried chicken, this is your spot! Mad For Chicken is a popular Korean snack food chain. We dined here on Friday late afternoon, and it wasn't busy at all. They have lunch special for $14.95 that came with a drink.I got the Crispy Chicken Bowl with signature crispy chicken, Korean glass noodles, steamed vegetables, romaine, corn, pico, gucamole, hickory bbq sauce, crema and choice of white rice or quinoa. It was like Korean style Chipotle/Bibimbap bowl served in a claypot! It is delicious and has everything that you can possibly want in one bowl and every bite.Of course, we had to get the Korean fried chicken and Kimchi Fries to share. The chicken was crisp on the outside but so juicy on the inside. The spicy mayo on the kimchi fries elevated the dish with a kick. It's spicy, salty, crispy, and addicting! The place has a nice casual vibe with a full bar. This is a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat with a bunch of friends. For the first time, Yelp check-in, you get a free soju shot. I got the lychee soju - so good!“

“Update: still a little overpriced for the neighborhood but the food is night and day! They have an almost entirely new menu and the execution is consistently good - though service can be a bit slow they do communicate when the kitchen is running behind which is always appreciated. The veggie burger and fried mushroom sandwich are highlights! Still not my top choice for eggs in the area but solid. I assume they replaced the kitchen staff entirely because it’s now solidly worth a visit if you’re local.Old review: Made a Greek omelette with lettuce mix instead of spinach and have refilled cholula bottles with franks red hot. More than $50 for two brunch entrees and coffee (no alcohol). Will not be back.Vegetarian options: Black bean burger and fried mushroom sandwich are always a good choice!“

“I recently visited this place when my brother and I could not get in afew days before. It is a good place with a few options, even though the menu is slightly limited. However, this more of a place to drink than eat. Only problem with this place is that it is only open 5 hours (5pm to 10pm) everyday sonforget about getting brunch or lunch. As a result of that prices are up a little. Overall though, it is a good experience. It is worth the visit.“

“Can't say enough great things about Arcadia! The staff is amazing, the drinks are perfect, and the food is phenomenal! We came in on a Thursday evening and participated in the trivia night competition, which was a great time as well! I had spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, which was delicious with great flavor and chunks of artichoke, and it came with both fried and unfried pita chips - a nice variety. I was recommended the chicken parm sandwich as well, and the recommendation could not have been more spot on. Hands down the best chicken parm sandwich I've ever eaten - flavor was on point, the garlic bread added such a great layer of tastiness, and the fries were cooked to perfection. An incredible spot in Astoria that everyone should check out!“

“The Alvin became my home away from home during the pandemic and remains so to this day! The staff are friendly and feel more like family! “By far my favorite place in Sunnyside to eat. The atmosphere is great. The food is great. The drinks are perfect. The real reason we keep going back though…Gabby and Linda. Two of the best servers we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. But it doesn’t even stop with them. We’ve had such amazing and pleasant experiences with all of the staff at Ida’s. The back patio is just THE place to enjoy their brunch. If you come through Sunnyside and don’t stop at Ida’s, you’re truly missing out. Especially their brunch.Vegetarian options: Buffalo Cauliflower, Grilled Broccolini and Crispy Brussel Sprouts are perfect. They also offer a Beyond Burger.Parking: Parking is what you’d expect in Queens, but you’re across the street from the paid lot under the viaduct as an option.“

“Every time I've dined-in or out the food from this place has been a consistent hit !! I will always recommend anything that can be plated with their old bay fries because they might be the best fries you ever have !!! Bedford Plank Burger ( + cheddar cheese , + applewood smoked bacon) - Rating : 60/10 Hanger Steak - Rating : 500/10 Pickle Back Fried Chicken Sandwich - Rating : 9/10 (I wasn't a fan of the pickle-back slaw, it was a bit heavy and overpowering. I scrapped maybe 2-3/4 of the slaw off for an ideal portion, but other than that the chicken sandwich itself was great !) Now I must admit the decor inside is a bit rustic and heavily cloaked in dim lighting, but if that's not your style the outside tables are a great alternative (if the weather permits). As far as customer service goes the staff have always been inviting in a laid back manner. I've only ever dined-in during the early evening and it's been very easy to be seated and served. At night I typically rely on take-out which has also been easy to retrieve, and thanks to the packaging the food retains its heat and texture until I reach my house.“

“Second time coming, first time coming for dinner. JWF is quickly becoming a favorite! Fantastic service, lovely ambience and lighting, not too loud or crowded but clearly popular. Food was great, as were drinks. My friend ordered a cider and I had a ginger mocktail (can't remember the name). Very well done! For food, my table got the ceviche, fish (which was massive) and chips (perfect), mushy peas (delicious, was glad I cautiously tried them), and the special pie of the day, steak and oyster pie. The pie was better than any steak pie I've had- buttery, crisp crust, a rich sauce, and a really lovely, savory filling. We were absolutely stuffed by meal's end so I ordered a sticky toffee pudding to go, which was absolutely spot on. Can't recommend this place enough.“

“Like coming here once a month to see whats new on the menu. This week was a crazy prime beef donut. That correct a jelly donut but instead of jelly it has meat!! I don't know if it was deep fried or baked but it was delicious. The dough trapped the moisture and flavors as it was prepared creating a mouthful of delicious!! The side salad helped balance the carb load. Arugula with a sweet olive oil dressing!!“

“The bar bar is conveniently located near the stadium and surrounded by other bars and restaurants which makes it a busy block. This is great when looking to bar hop. The bar is aesthetically pleasing. We were immediately greeted the second we walked in the door and were told we can sit anywhere but would have to come up to the bar to order food and drinks. It was a little busy when we got there around 5 on a Saturday and was packed by 7. The place was very clean, the bartenders were very friendly, the drinks were reasonably priced and the decor was pleasing to the eye. They have extra seating down below and up above which is also very neat. The drinks were reasonably priced as well. Overly enjoyed it very much but it isn't too much fun when you have to constantly keep going up and hover around a group of people at the bar just to order drinks. Additional servers on the floor would make this place a 5.“

“Full disclosure, I'm a Yankees fan. However, my wife and I love all things baseball and our goal is to visit all of the ballparks. Citi Field was our 15th park and it's honestly a great ballpark. Getting here was super easy and the subway brings you right outside the park. We came for a Mets-Yankees game and it was a really fun atmosphere, lots of heckling, but no fights and just a good, fun rivalry. Drinks were great and they have lots of options, which was a good thing since we had a rain delay and had time to kill. The real standout here was the food and this was some of the best ballpark food we've experienced. My wife loved her lobster roll and I absolutely loved my porchetta sandwich. Ours views of the game were also great and it's a very nice ballpark overall!“
