“I’ve been gatekeeping this place for so long!!! The food is amazing and fresh. I always do a build your own bowl and am able to fully customize a poke bowl to my liking. They also have ramen and different rice bowls. The pricing at this place is so affordable for fresh tuna and salmon. I’m used to paying over $20 for the servings they provide. Their prices range from $11-15. A nice Chinese family owns the restaurant and are always so wonderful to their customers and genuinely remember the regulars. Their restaurant is always impeccably clean. Never garbage around, tables clean, and cute decor. My go to for poke!!!!!“

“Overall a nearly excellent burger in the Shake Shack style can be had here! There's about 20 different styles of burgers with creative combinations. We had the O'dada and double whammy burgers. Both were overall very good with fresh, high quality ingredients and an excellent brioche style roll. The main problem we had was the burgers were a bit too greasy and excessively juicy which kept us from giving a 5 star rating.. It was difficult eating these burgers without making a mess and the fatty juices were flowing out like a fountain. Despite this these are still probably the best burgers in Queens due to high quality ingredients and being very tasty. The service was quick and friendly! Recommended if you're in the area and you're craving a Shake Shack style burger.“

“I found this amazing gimbap place in Flushing! You gotta try it. They load it up with veggies and meats and go light on the rice, just how I like it. One order is more than enough to fill you up. And not only is the food great and well-priced, but everyone there is super friendly too. I highly recommend it and will try other menus next time.“

“I don't like ramen that much because it's oily and can leave me feeling uncomfortable after eating, but I enjoy coming here regularly because they make them really tasty. I've also enjoyed all the side dishes I tried. My only complaint is the portions are small. After a ramen bowl with some side dish, often times I'd still feel a bit hungry.“

“I ordered the tonkatsu ramen, flavor was good but birth was really oily. Also ordered the tatsuta age, the sauce in the side was good but the fried chicken bites were disappointing, it was more the odd batter than chicken. The miso soup was the best part of the meal.“

“I’ve been an instant frequent customer here cause of their curry menu. Their sukiyaki beef curry is so rich and delicious. Very comforting and warm. Sometime I add a topping of their Menchi beef. Their hand rolls are pretty solid too— I tend to get their spicy tuna or shrimp tempura hand roll. The service is quick and they’re attentive to your needs. I would recommend this to anyone.“

“This is an amazing restaurant with great pricing. Their miso ramen is really flavorful and the ramen was cooked perfectly with a perfect chew. The egg has a creamy yoke, and I really like how they charred the chasu to enhance the flavour. I've been to so many other restaurants that don't do this and the char just adds a nice touch. The food came out really quick too and the service was really speedy. As soon as I started eating they took away our trash and wrappers and while we were eating they topped up our water when it was half empty. The restaurant is well designed too and fits the vibe of the food they serve.“

“It’s honestly top 3 Ramen places I’ve ever been. I always get the Shoyu ramen with pork. The meat is melt in your mouth, the noodles have a great texture, and the broth is super flavorful. It’s just a classic ramen, and it’s also very affordable! You would have a hard time finding better ramen for under $20, highly recommend.“

The spicy yuzu margarita is my go to drink .Well balanced, strong, not too spicy which i liked. For food, I have really enjoyed their eel roll and salmon teriyaki. Recently tried their Omakase and it was very tasty . The sushi was so fresh, the salmon sashimi was melts in your mouth. The dragon roll was also a great addition. The portion was plentiful, felt very full by the last bite. Overall, really impressed by the quality of their sushi. I look forward to sampling the ramen on the menu since so many people have raved about it.“

“Back to our favorite ramen spot on chilly Friday night, it was so packed that you could obviously tell they’re understaffed. Nonetheless, kudos to the floor staff who worked so hard despite being short handed. This time we opted to try their summer special ceviche ramen and it was really delicious!“

“Good day, we were greeted upon entry and initially planned on dining in. The cashier was pleasant to me. She was also seemingly ok with me expressing it being my first time and the Inquiries I made. We decided to eat in the vehicle due to parking meter. I stayed in the vehicle while my friend went inside to pick up our order. Upon returning, I was informed that the same cashier was rude about us changing our order to go. Anyways the vegetable ramen bowl was great but my friend was not pleased with the shrimp teriyaki bowl.

Vegetarian options: I loved how fresh my mushrooms were in my bowl. There were also other options on the menu.

Dietary restrictions: Claims there is no cross contamination with any food allergies.

Parking: After 7pm there is more free street parking.“

“It was a wonderful experience , considering it is my first time. We had to wait a few minutes to get our table for 4 but that’s okay! The employees were super nice and went out of their way to pull and extra table for us. I loved the authentic atmosphere. The lighting, decor, and the overall feeling of the restaurant was great! And amazing food. My family loved what we ordered and the matcha cheesecake for dessert was so good! Compliments to the chef! “A must try place in the new world mall food court. I’m surprised it isn’t talk about much. Their udons were nice and chewy and the broth was delicious. I got the udon with the beef and tomato and it wasn’t spicy. The tomatoes were surprisingly sweet and juicy I’m definitely going back here next time“

“Ramen Danbo is a must-try Japanese Noodle experience if you’re in New York. The shop is small, so you might have to wait in line for a table, but it’s worth it. I love the Tomato Ramen here: their homemade noodles are excellent, the broth is rich, the toppings are top-notch, and the soft-boiled egg is perfect. I can’t wait to come back for more.“

“All the other Ichiran locations had ridiculously long lines 🍜, so we drove out to this one in Brooklyn. This spot only offers one type of ramen — perfect for the indecisive 😅 — though the menu overall is pretty limited.

The price is about $30 per person, which is fairly normal for NYC 💸. As for the taste: not bad at all, but definitely not worth a super long wait. The broth was the best part — rich but not greasy, really flavorful 👍.

There were two kinds of pork: one served in the soup, and the other on a separate plate. The one on the plate was much tastier 🥩, while the one in the soup had a really strong, almost unpleasant smell 🤢.

Overall, it’s worth a visit if you’re nearby and want to avoid long lines, but not a must-visit spot unless you’re in the area 📍.“

“Awesome decor and excellent food! We stopped here for lunch on a weekday. Everything was delicious. Decent sized establishment that sat 6 people. A lot of the seating is private so you’re on top of other patrons. One of the most memorable decors you’ll ever see. Highly recommend this place!“

“I love Rai Rai Ken - it is conveniently located in my neighborhood and is always consistent in quality and taste. My favorite things to order are the Fried Chicken Onigiri and the soup broths. Delicious on a cold day. Delivery is always quick and the food is always piping hot!“

I gave Food/Service/Atmosphere 5 🌟 because they were on par for me. For a local spot, this really took me by surprise.

What I ordered:

Miso Soup:
Standard Miso Soup, nothing groundbreaking, but very tasty. Would have loved a tad more tofu & scallion, but that's just me.

Salmon Avocado Hand roll:
Not the hand roll I expected meaning it wasn't in the cone shape I'm familiar with, but it came presented like a taco with the seaweed as the shell. Salmon cuts were huge, and with great colour, avocado was bright & ripe, coupled with the perfect amount of rice. Everything tasted clean, and fresh.

Yellowtail Jalapeno Nigiri:
I messed up with this, originally I wanted a sushi roll, but my brain flubbed. Great mistake though, because the yellowtail was delicious, practically melted in my mouth, topped with a delicate cut of jalapeno on top.

Love Milk Tea:
Honestly, just a really delicious milk tea topped with osmanthus flower. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet thankfully.

Wagyu Tataki:
Tataki is meant to be briefly seared on the outside, but the center remains raw. Was this seared to the degree I wanted? No. But, was it delicious? Yes. And the meat was incredibly tender, flavour of the sauces really complimented everything on the plate.

I finished off with a matcha cheesecake to go, I'm sure it'll be good.

With tip, I spent $67

Again, for a local spot in Richmond Hill/Kew Gardens, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Personally, with slight adjustments, these folks would do great in midtown. I spent a little under what I would spend at a restaurant in the city, and got an incredibly satisfying meal, and left full.“

“Fukuyama is a delivery GOLD. Excellent Japanese food delivered in 15 to 30 minutes at most. Excellent chicken katsu, excellent veggie sushi (umeboshi shiso!), and even their pad thai, which I wouldn’t normally order from a Japanese restaurant, is amazing!“

“Come check out the Star Cafe! My cousin recently visited here and said his order was the "chef's kiss" - not to mention the ambiance and friendly service the staff provided! The price might be high but you definitely get your money's worth!

“I had the ramen with the garlic add which was good! It's attached to tenzan so you can also get their sushi. Love tenzan sushi. The atmosphere isn't the strong suit though. It's very bright in there and just overall doesn't have much of a vibe, but it is a nice neighborhood spot.“
