“Let me tell yall how I ordered and accidentally picked the wrong location! I didn’t have enough time to change it and I didn’t want to cancel! I was able to call the THIS LOCATION (Ridgewood) and the manager Ryan was able to save my order and make it fresh for when I arrived after work! The customer service was superb! My food was at the rapid pickup when I arrived, the ladies was friendly! And when I thanked the manager in person he was awesome! Def will have to order from here again! “I've been to a few ichiran locations and have always been satisfied. Is it the best ramen in the city? Maybe not, but it's a really solid and well balanced bowl that you get to eat in a relatively unique solo booth experience. I love the little booths, it's very relaxing for me to eat in my own little cubby. I will say though, the lines can get long.

As for the actual ramen, last time I went with the classic tonkotsu with all the recommended settings. It didn’t come with an egg by default, which id probably add next time, but otherwise I was happy with it. The broth is the real star of the show - it really exemplifies a classic tonkotsu with the perfect amount of unctuous, creamy mouthfeel and savory, rich flavors. They also give a lot more chashu than I would expect, which is nice. The chashu was super tender, although mildly flavored. The recommended firmness for the noodles was medium, but next time I would definitely go for firm because they were too soft for my liking.

All in all an awesome bowl or ramen with a unique eating experience. Worth checking out for sure!“

“I'll try to keep this to the point —

I gave Food/Service/Atmosphere 5 🌟 because they were on par for me. For a local spot, this really took me by surprise.

What I ordered:

Miso Soup:
Standard Miso Soup, nothing groundbreaking, but very tasty. Would have loved a tad more tofu & scallion, but that's just me.

Salmon Avocado Hand roll:
Not the hand roll I expected meaning it wasn't in the cone shape I'm familiar with, but it came presented like a taco with the seaweed as the shell. Salmon cuts were huge, and with great colour, avocado was bright & ripe, coupled with the perfect amount of rice. Everything tasted clean, and fresh.

Yellowtail Jalapeno Nigiri:
I messed up with this, originally I wanted a sushi roll, but my brain flubbed. Great mistake though, because the yellowtail was delicious, practically melted in my mouth, topped with a delicate cut of jalapeno on top.

Love Milk Tea:
Honestly, just a really delicious milk tea topped with osmanthus flower. It was light, refreshing, and not too sweet thankfully.

Wagyu Tataki:
Tataki is meant to be briefly seared on the outside, but the center remains raw. Was this seared to the degree I wanted? No. But, was it delicious? Yes. And the meat was incredibly tender, flavour of the sauces really complimented everything on the plate.

I finished off with a matcha cheesecake to go, I'm sure it'll be good.

With tip, I spent $67

Again, for a local spot in Richmond Hill/Kew Gardens, I was thoroughly impressed and satisfied. Personally, with slight adjustments, these folks would do great in midtown. I spent a little under what I would spend at a restaurant in the city, and got an incredibly satisfying meal, and left full.“

“The food was excellent - the crispy duck tasted very crispy with the sauce, and the chive pancake tasted better than any other pancake. The service was very fast when delivering the dishes, delivering them all within 10 minutes of placing an order. Came for lunch over the weekend and had such a great experience. The hand roll set and the Super Bowl are a must. The portions were generous and the fish was incredibly fresh. Everything tasted amazing.

“This is such a lovely spot. I first tried this spot many years ago. There used to be a Polish restaurant one block south of here, Neptune. We would go there and then come to brodo and grab a broth to go, often for my dad in the VA hospital up on 23 St. few places would sell you just broth.

I absolutely love the Hearth broth and you can add the ginger turmeric, which I highly recommend. I also ordered and tried the beef broth with ginger and turmeric, it was fine. Oddly enough, the hearth had a richer, beefier flavor than the beef did. It’s just a heartier flavor, I highly recommend it. I could easily pop over to enjoy a cup of broth in place of my daily coffee, it’s a similarly comfortable cup that travels well.“

“Place is small, and also they have shareable tables just fyi, that threw us off, staff is super friendly and kind. We order some ramens and gyoza which was super flavorful, all their ramens were good, I forgot to take a picture of my husbands but his was spicy and had pork like chicharron (crispy pork) on top, which was to die for, my son didn’t like his beef miso ramen because the meat was minced and also had a sweet flavor so I switched it with mine and then he was happy, my miso pork ramen was delicious, savory and had a little quick since they decorate with what looked like chili oil, delicious but a little spicy. I was super happy with this place, glad we found it and would definitely try it again. Yum“

“Forgot to take photos of the food but everything was so good. Steamed Pork Dumplings were massive, soft, and delish. Chicken Soup Dumplings had a really rich broth. Beef Lo Mein was flavorful and cooked well. Sesame Chicken was super crispy and the sauce was incredible but not spicy as it shouldve been. Chicken Fried Rice was standard but good.

The free jasmine tea was a nice touch and great throughout the meal!“

“Chola is easily the best Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan and Northern Jersey. My wife and I drive in bi-weekly for their awesome food and ever changing menu. “I love this place very much. I have to write a review because this place is very special to me now and I have to express my gratitude. I've been coming here with my father for some time now, and today we had the super delicious crepe, calamari, and pho, SO DELICIOUS and after finishing the meal with my father, he said that it has been a while since he ate so deliciously. Because of things that have happened to our family in recent years, meals that feel warm don't come as often anymore. So him saying that today filled me with relief. We always leave Sao Mai smiling because we eat so much and laugh about how full we are. In this restaurant, I get to have a meal with my father that feels so welcome, and provides me with a comfort of being in the moment with him.

Every single meal we have here is met with the utmost care, not just because we are customers, but because we can tell that they really do care. “My first time trying coconut hot pot and I’ve clearly been missing out! The coconut broth was light and sweet, and way easier on the stomach than a regular hot pot.

We visited on one of the coldest days, and the restaurant was PACKED. It’s located in Downtown Flushing, literally right next to Tangram. It’s also more affordable than other coconut hot pot spots in the city, with a heartier portion too.

Shoutout to the impeccable service — our server even helped skim off the floating oil from the broth (and made me want to buy that ladle lol).

They use cage-free chicken, and the pieces were generously sized with not too much bone. This portion was already enough to feed four. The set also comes with vegetables, plus your choice of rice or noodles. The coconut broth wasn’t heavy at all that we were basically sipping it nonstop.

You get a discounted price if you add their claypot rice to your hot pot order. It looked very promising and delicious, especially with the runny poached egg. But I thought the rice needed a few more minutes in the clay pot to crisp up the base a bit more.

The price is pretty steep for just three wontons, but I love Maxi’s so much that I still went for it. The shrimp wontons were so plump and meaty.

The ambience outside is like a garden allowing indoor and outdoor seating. As soon as we walked in I couldn’t stop looking around because it smells REALLY nice, they have light essential oils that make you feel cozy and relaxed.
The seats look and are very comfortable. Flowers on the table and cute soy sauce containers. They also have air-con so summer heat won’t be an issue while dining here.
You’re greeted upon entering, and the waiters are very attentive and friendly.
