“cameriera italiana con capelli corti. scortese e molto maleducata. non tornerò piu. non ha saputo ne servire il cliente oltre al fatto che dovrebbe farsi un corso di corretto italiano prima di parlare con un cliente in quel modo. pessima pubblicità al locale. peccato e mi dispiace ma non tornerò più.“

“Honestly, a stunning gem of a neighborhood restaurant. I loved their beet salad with dates, the dates were so soft and juicy. The pork chop was very good, but just a little bit dry for my taste. The desserts were smashingly good, we had the olive oil cake with cream in a prune sauce, as well as the coffee mousse. Would highly recommend!“

“Delicious and such incredibly warm service!! Our first time here and will be back. Big winners were the tortelloni — big luscious pillowy bites — and the gramigna, a total crowd pleaser. Also enjoyed every one of our cocktails. Thank you Gigante team!!“

“Went last night for St. Valentine’s day, I must confess I ended up here by mistake, my reservation was in another restaurant across the street, but for some unknown reason I came here and it was amazing, my only regret was not being here before… Food was beyond amazing, the lasagna is a MUST! I have never had something like that before, would love to go back again.
I would think that on a busy day like this, service/food might not be the best, but they proved me wrong, staff was very nice, they didn’t take forever with our food, music was nice too.
Can’t wait to go and try the brunch one of these days…
PS: I tried the cucumber drink, which is alcohol free and it was also very good, the olive oil cake since the tiramisu had finished,it wasn’t bad but I bet they have better options for desserts.“

“First time at Misi and couldn't have asked for more. Both the appetizers and pastas were excellent - had a hard time choosing my favorites. For our first course we had grilled artichokes, white asparagus, and peppers with ricotta toast. All were simply prepared but seasonal and delicious. Pastas included spinach tortelli (very rich but tasty), fettuccine (perfection), bucatini with njuda (my favorite of the bunch), and gnocchi with sausage (meaty, fennel-y, and oh so satisfying). All the pastas were different but equally divine. Cocktails and gelato were great too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top quality Italian pastas and appetizers that are seasonal, fresh, and simply prepared but deeply comforting.“

“Dinner at old-school, red sauce joint, Bamonte in Williamsburg, one of the oldest restaurants in Brooklyn.
We are so glad we went early; this place is a scene! When we left at 9, there was not an empty table or seat at the bar. They still have a cigarette machine at the bar + two phone booths.
After cocktails, we had eggplant rollatini, chicken parm and pork chops with vinegar peppers, finishing dinner with Amaro Averna. The food was good; the service, outstanding.
And as a bonus, Kevin Kane from Law & Order SVU was dining there too!“

“I made a reservation for Roman's on a Monday evening for a date night with my partner, not knowing it would be the day we got engaged! Roman's was truly a perfect place to celebrate. The food is so gorgeous and balanced and there was never a moment I felt unattended to while we totally had space to enjoy each other's company. Roman's is all the good parts of a welcoming neighborhood spot paired with seasonal delightful food that impresses people over and over again (on NYT's top 100 restaurants in NYC). The portions are more generous than many high end restaurants and I swear every last bite was the best. I felt warm leaving this place and I'm so excited to go back again <3“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. Will be back to Brooklyn and will definitely come back.“

“The environment is comfy and cozy when you walk into restaurant and they had host waiting for us to sit our table The food Was great, for me and my mom , and stepfather as we all ordered different things from meat to seafood, and pasta dishes. The one ravioli that had a little ice in it or cold which i take one star away from it. But other than everything was good. Also, the owner is very nice and came to talk to us to our table.“

“We hosted a reception following our wedding ceremony at Pizzette and it was the perfect venue. The restaurant held ~70 guests comfortably, the food was delicious, the servers were very kind and attentive, and our contact at the restaurant was incredibly responsive and easy to work with leading up to the event. We would recommend this space to anyone looking for a private event space! Or for a yummy bite to eat in the neighborhood.“

“Finally made it to Salvo’s and it did not disappoint. Serving some truly delicious sandwiches- we shared the mortadella with burrata/pistachio pesto and the eggplant parm. Hands down the best eggplant parm I’ve ever had. Such a beautifully curated space, feels special but not pretentious. You could tell everything was made with the freshest/high quality ingredients and the utmost care. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We don't get over to this part of the neighborhood often, but I would go out of my way to return to Briscola. Our pastas were full of flavor and unexpected complexity, and the service was really upbeat and charming. Bonus points for the dessert cart! Sophisticated enough for grown-ups but also worked for our 4 year old. Now can you tell us more about the namesake card game?“

“I have enjoyed eating at Aurora many times since 2010 with my wife, friends and family. The food and service is always consistently good. But when I went this week, I found myself disappointed that they did not serve bread. The waiter told be they do not do it anymore with no explanation. It may be a small thing, but it was significant for me.“

“I was there with my colleagues Monday, November 10. We were at the nearby Signal Awards where our podcast received a Bronze prize for our podcast about Italian food, “I Wish I Were a Prosciutto.” We were hungry and looking for something with prosciutto. We had your most delicious pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The crust was Neapolitan perfection and the toppings were bursting with flavor. We were also impressed with the good-as-Nona’s meatballs. The service was outstanding and we appreciated meeting Gloria de la Rosa. You made our special night more special. We live in Connecticut, but we would come back again when we are in Brooklyn, tell our NYC friends about your place, and talk about it on our podcast. We wish you continued success! Thank you so much.“

“Tried it for the first time. Oxtail pappardelle and amatriciana were ridiculously good - pasta and the sauces were excellent. Fior di zucca starter was also perfectly fried and super cheesy with ricotta. Service was efficient and friendly. Id venture to say best italian in Bed Stuy - people complaining about portion size - here it was all about quality and we left very satisfied! Had to walk back home to digest the meal. Recommend 💯“

“Love their food and ambience. The only thing that I wish they can improve is their reservation online. It never allows me to reserve for 5 people. I always have to call in. When I call in since they open for dinners only it can get difficult to reserve a spot. Other than that this place is awesome!“

“the pasta was delicious and the drinks were perfect but the focaccia was probably the worst i’ve ever tasted. they also have a really cute pasta mural on the wall i didn’t grab a picture of.
they also have a charity dedicated to creating scholarships for children who have lost a parent to cancer and feature a drink on the menu that donates a dollar to that charity. consider going to support xx“

“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I had a ravioli dish that was finished off with heating in their brick oven. I’d like to rate this restaurant 10 stars!!!!“
