“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I had a ravioli dish that was finished off with heating in their brick oven. I’d like to rate this restaurant 10 stars!!!!“

“My husband and I have been going to Daphne’s since we moved back to Brooklyn. While food and service have been excellent without fail, Jackie is who keeps us coming back month after month. Her warmth, kindness, and knowledge are unparalleled, and we can’t imagine having a better time at dinner with anyone else.“

“Had dinner at Rosticceria Brooklyn last night and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly roasted, juicy inside with crispy, well-seasoned skin. We got the focaccia on the side, which was soft and pillowy with a great olive oil flavor.

Everything felt fresh and made with care. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want in Brooklyn. Will definitely be back!“

“I traveled all the way from Upper West Side because a friend suggested it, and it was absolutely worth it!!! I loved the atmosphere, the restaurant, the wine list, and the food! I highly recommend trying the fagioli all’uccelletto, and don’t miss their pastas, we had a phenomenal cacio e pepe, and the cotoletta alla bolognese was truly amazing. Food is so authentic and spontaneous!!! We shared a bottle of their Poderi Melini Chianti Classico, which was perfect with our food and was recommended to us by Jacopo, in his typical Tuscanian accent. I’ll definitely be back! Ridgewood has a great Italian spot. What a discovery!“

We started with the Grilled Nectarines and Whipped Ricotta Crostini (a must-order) and tried the Grilled Baby Artichokes - Amazing!

The pastas were even better: the Spinach and Mascarpone Filled Tortelli with Brown Butter, the Linguine with Anchovy, and the Mezze Rigatoni were all fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.“

“This place is such a gem, especially for summer or fall outdoor dining. The cucumber salad was my absolute favorite and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It’s so simple, but the anchovy vinaigrette gives it that little something, and you can really taste how fresh the vegetables are.“

“I got the mozzarella, tomatoes, and roasted peppers appetizer. I also got the fried zucchini appetizer. The zucchini comes with a really good marinara dip. Everything was delicious! Their bread was also very delicious and I dipped it in the sauce :). It's an expensive place but it was worth it. Definitely did not leave hungry. Very friendly staff.“

“Since it was our first time there, we decided to share a wide spread of dishes so we could get a real feel for the menu. We started with the insalata verde, then moved through a burger, the pizza padellino, trofie al pesto, and a frittata di pasta, finishing things off with a rich panettone al cioccolato for dessert. Everything was excellent across the board, with just a slightly heavier hand on the salt in a dish or two, but nothing that took away from how tasty the food was overall.

The atmosphere really tied it all together, cozy and low-key when we arrived, then lively and buzzing as the room filled in, without ever feeling too crowded or rushed. The staff kept things warm and welcoming the entire time. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back and work your way through the rest of the menu, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.“

The host was so kind in getting us sad quickly. We were at the nearby Signal Awards where our podcast received a Bronze prize for our podcast about Italian food, “I Wish I Were a Prosciutto.” We were hungry and looking for something with prosciutto. We had your most delicious pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The crust was Neapolitan perfection and the toppings were bursting with flavor. We were also impressed with the good-as-Nona’s meatballs. The service was outstanding and we appreciated meeting Gloria de la Rosa. You made our special night more special. I live in the neighborhood and it’s literally my go to restaurant whenever friends or family come visit and I want to impress them with the best places to eat in Brooklyn. My favorites remain the calamari and Caesar salad. The pasta dishes are always done the way pasta should be- al denote and with the right amount of sauce. I also love their cocktails which are is always mixed and presented so perfectly with the right alcohol ratios in glasses that make sense. The service is fantastic and the energy is upbeat and welcoming.“
