“My son took me here for a birthday dinner after hanging at Rockaway Beach. This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve ever been to. The pasta is homemade and delicious. I had a ravioli dish that was finished off with heating in their brick oven. I’d like to rate this restaurant 10 stars!!!!“

“My husband and I have been going to Daphne’s since we moved back to Brooklyn. While food and service have been excellent without fail, Jackie is who keeps us coming back month after month. Her warmth, kindness, and knowledge are unparalleled, and we can’t imagine having a better time at dinner with anyone else.“

“Superb experience at a truly authentic American-Italian restaurant. Waiter was dressed impeccably and the service was perfect. And of course: the food was classic and simple, all tasting very good. The vegetarian hot antipasti, chicken parm and red wine were to die for!

One small thing: the vodka rigatoni was a biiiit overcooked (not al dente) and bland for our taste.

“Always lovely. One of these consistently good places. Delicious pastas and vegetables. The ricotta toast with peppers is so good (their bread is amazing), the braised leeks, the anchovy lemon pasta and the raggu pasta were a favorite out of the four that we ordered!“

“The atmosphere and service were outstanding. We only went for desert and coffee. The chocolate cake was amazing. A couple we vacationed with has eaten dinner there 2 nights before and said how amazing the food was. One of the staff members even gave us a personal tour and history of the building. “Had dinner at Rosticceria Brooklyn last night and it did not disappoint. The chicken was perfectly roasted, juicy inside with crispy, well-seasoned skin. We got the focaccia on the side, which was soft and pillowy with a great olive oil flavor.

Everything felt fresh and made with care. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood spot you want in Brooklyn. Will definitely be back!“

“I traveled all the way from Upper West Side because a friend suggested it, and it was absolutely worth it!!! I loved the atmosphere, the restaurant, the wine list, and the food! I highly recommend trying the fagioli all’uccelletto, and don’t miss their pastas, we had a phenomenal cacio e pepe, and the cotoletta alla bolognese was truly amazing. Food is so authentic and spontaneous!!! We shared a bottle of their Poderi Melini Chianti Classico, which was perfect with our food and was recommended to us by Jacopo, in his typical Tuscanian accent. I’ll definitely be back! Ridgewood has a great Italian spot. What a discovery!“

“Since it was our first time there, we decided to share a wide spread of dishes so we could get a real feel for the menu. We started with the insalata verde, then moved through a burger, the pizza padellino, trofie al pesto, and a frittata di pasta, finishing things off with a rich panettone al cioccolato for dessert. Everything was excellent across the board, with just a slightly heavier hand on the salt in a dish or two, but nothing that took away from how tasty the food was overall.

The atmosphere really tied it all together, cozy and low-key when we arrived, then lively and buzzing as the room filled in, without ever feeling too crowded or rushed. The staff kept things warm and welcoming the entire time. It's the kind of place that makes you want to come back and work your way through the rest of the menu, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.“

Food was PHENOMENAL (squid ink pasta w blue crab was chefs kiss) - drinks were on point (guavarita was yummy!) - but honestly it was a hospitality that put this place over the top. Felt like we were all cousins reuniting for some great food and drinks!“

“We walked in late without a reservation and the hostess was so nice she managed to squeeze us in at the bar for “an hour” and was super clear about what we’d have time to order etc.

Then she somehow worked some magic and was able to give us extra time so we could order dessert too. I was super impressed with how she balanced honoring her other reservations while still squeezing us in and letting us have a really sweet/cute date nights excellent experience and would def be back.

Also food was STUNNING. The giant bow tie pasta was amazing and the strawberries and cream dessert will def be remembered.“

I’m gluten free and asked if they could put the tuna on a bed of greens and they did 10/10!! Would highly recommend. Also the staff was super helpful and accommodating.“

The atmosphere is really nice sitting outside on a summer night especially. We were at the nearby Signal Awards where our podcast received a Bronze prize for our podcast about Italian food, “I Wish I Were a Prosciutto.” We were hungry and looking for something with prosciutto. We had your most delicious pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The crust was Neapolitan perfection and the toppings were bursting with flavor. We were also impressed with the good-as-Nona’s meatballs. The service was outstanding and we appreciated meeting Gloria de la Rosa. You made our special night more special. We live in Connecticut, but we would come back again when we are in Brooklyn, tell our NYC friends about your place, and talk about it on our podcast. We wish you continued success!
