“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Some of the best falafel and tabouli I’ve tasted in quite some time too!“

“I stopped by Zaki’s Halal while looking for a place to eat, and I’m so glad I did! The food was absolutely incredible fresh, flavorful, and one of the best halal meals I’ve had.
The owner was extremely kind and welcoming, and the young lady working there was also very professional, friendly, and helpful. Their customer service made the experience even better.
The restaurant was spotless, well-maintained, and had a warm, inviting atmosphere.

“Food was delicious! Had the Bronzino which came with the sayadeya rice. The fish was so delicious, perfectly seasoned. The unexpected star of the show was the grilled octopus which was so soft and juicy… not chewy at all and lots of flavor. Maybe the best i’ve had. Friendly Egyptians. The service and atmosphere fits the vibe, very casual spot. Food was served quickly. Will be back!“

“Such a great neighborhood spot. I went there late the other night craving falafel, and even though they told me they had run out, the guy actually went downstairs to check and found some. He ended up making fresh falafel patties right there just so I could have them.
The sauces were incredible and the food was absolutely delicious. Even though we ordered takeout, the hospitality was 10/10. It’s rare to find places that go the extra mile like that. Definitely coming back.“

“Hands down one of the best spots to order from if you want authentic Palestinian falafel and cold salads and dips. I usually order the mixed cold platter with a side of kofta for delivery and my order never disappoints. They also always add extra warm pita and falafel which is an awesome bonus bc you can never have enough of their falafel! Definitely come check this place out, it’s steps off broadway train station and super worth the commute!“

“Really enjoyed the food here and thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. One thing that stood out was how quickly everything was prepared — the food came out almost immediately, which made the experience really convenient without sacrificing freshness. Everything tasted flavorful, hot, and satisfying, especially for a quick stop. The only small issue was that it was a little difficult to hear the employee speaking because she was very quiet and the plexiglass made communication harder. Aside from that, the service was still polite and the overall experience was smooth. The place felt organized, efficient, and easy to stop by when you want something quick but still good quality. Definitely a spot I’d return to again.“

“Got a chicken burrito with pinto bean, brown rice, Monterrey jack cheese, pico de gallo and sour cream. The burrito was so good, very well seasoned. I couldn’t eat the whole thing because it was so much, so I took the rest to go. Overall the service and food was a 10/10. I would definitely go eat here and go back for lunch.“

“One of my favorite halal spots in queens. Food and service is impeccable. Even though I got a salad platter they still threw in some rice so you won’t go hungry. Chicken and lamb are amazing. Perfect amount of char and still tender. They also usually give out a free sample of falafel which is cooked and seasoned perfectly. They also cook it in an oval shape so it’s a bit more crispy as opposed to the circle ones. Must try and always get extra white sauce and hot sauce. Food is hot, fresh and comes out quickly“

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. “Grill Point is a nice place to go for Kosher food in Kew Garden Hills. Pictured here is lamb and turkey Sharma, and the fried were ok too. They have a nice selection of good comfort food, and the quality has kept me coming back over time. Try it...you'll like it.“

“We ordered the chicken and egg sandwich and the egg sandwich with avocados. Service was very nice and attentive. Presentation was spot on and beautiful. However the plate was small and could’ve been bigger being that we got a “pretty messy dish.” Only knock is the price. Very pricey for breakfast and to receive only a sandwich, would’ve expected more for the cost... but then I had to remind myself that I’m in BK. Other than that. Good stuff all around.“

“Okay Soo I wasn't sure at first..but when I got in and saw the food I thought just a typical food place... But OMG ? the food is really good and it's fresh I had meatballs and chicken with rice and when I bite in it...hmm it like melted Soo good they had fresh salad which was also really good...all in all this place just needs more love but the food man I ate 2 times yesterday... “*4/5 stars — Great hall and food, one staffing issue*

We held our event at this hall and overall it was a really nice experience. The venue is clean, well-decorated, and has a great layout for guests. The food was a standout — fresh, hot, and flavorful. Everyone at our table commented on how good it was.

The only issue we ran into was with one of the volunteer staff members. Instead of serving, he sat down and ate with the guests. He also cleared plates and removed food from the table while people were still eating. It was awkward and threw off the flow of the meal a bit.

Outside of that, the rest of the team was attentive and the manager was responsive when we mentioned it. For the quality of the hall and food, I’d still recommend booking here. Hopefully they address the volunteer training so guests can finish their meals in peace.

*Cons:* Volunteer staff behavior — clearing food too early, eating with guests

Would book again, and I hope they sort out the staffing detail because everything else was top-notch.“

“Chicken and rice is beautiful, best I’ve tried in Brooklyn. They improved a lot since I was in town a year ago. The marinated chicken is very tasty, I think they use tomato, and the chicken is very well cooked, not greasy or anything. It is a little spicy tho, but the rest of the food balances it out. Rice cooked perfect as well. I remember last year I came here the rice was dry.“
