New American Restaurants near West Nyack, NY

“The Yard House restaurant is a popular and well regarded American casual dining restaurant chain that's known for offering guests superbly made burgers, pizzas, salads and other delicious dishes. In July of 2025, I brought and treated my wife and myself for dinner at the Yard House, specifically the branch located at the Palisades Center at West Nyack, New York and we very much enjoyed our dining experience. The staff warmly greeted us upon arrival and quickly provided us with a very large and comfortable dining table. Our server, Destiny D. was kind, welcoming and unquestionably professional. She did a great job on taking our menu orders, addressing our inquiries and always checked to make sure that we were having a great time. The Yard House is truly fortunate to have Destiny D as a member of their team. In addition to the great service, both my wife and I were in awe of the restaurant's energetic and vivacious atmosphere. We were impressed with its modern and stylish decor, and its display of multiple large television screens which feature live sports events and popular music programming. Guests also have access to a lively sports bar which features a vast collection of beers and cocktails. Last but certainly not least, my wife and I absolutely enjoyed our meal!!! We found our guacamole and chips appetizer tasty and delightful!!! I ordered and loved my burger based entree while my wife ordered and loved her whiskey glazed salmon entree. We found our meals to be perfectly cooked, superbly seasoned and highly delicious!!! All in all, we very much enjoyed our dining experience at the Yard House, and highly recommend for everyone to visit and dine at this great restaurant!!!“

“We had a great experience at this restaurant. I made a reservation and they followed my request exactly. I got a really nice seat and it was a very quiet environment. I had a great view of the Tappan seabridge. The food was very good and the service was very attentive and timely. The drinks were really good too .“

“Fantastic local spot, gets quite busy during peak lunch and dinner/weekends. Nice salads, burgers and wings. Lots of interesting patty choices (elk, bison, etc). Also, one of the best (most diverse, interesting) rotating domestic crafr tap lists in the county. They're always playing great rock, blues & funk.“

“St. Eve's is always a great experience. The service is very welcoming and professional and the food is always delicious. Their short rib dinner being the star. They always have a great list of specials making it hard to decide what to order. The service is very good too. You always feel at home there.“

“This is a great restaurant with a very chill atmosphere. The food is really good and they have a different variety of things for you to try. If you love beer have over a hundred different beers on tap and at least 20 something beers off tap.“

“Sweetest cafe in Irvington, New York. Clean space, service is smooth and quick, food is fresh, and they have an array of pastry options. We tried the honey turkey sandwich, tiramisu, and cappuccino- everything was just right and the portions perfect. You’ll feel at home inside; ideal for breakfast, brunch or for study. Side note that it is Albanian owned and operated, so we already knew it would be good. Can’t wait to be back! ????“

“Taco Thursday’s! Who doesn’t like a taco? Food is very fresh and best Mexican food around. Margaritas are made fresh with squeezed limes not a mix. One of my favorite places for Sunday breakfast! Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.“

Twice, recently, I dined at I'l Fresco with friends and family members; The words they used to describe Il Fresco were: -Fabulous - dinner was scrumptious -Phenomenal restaurant and staff -Tastiest sauce in the world - delicious hot bread out of the oven. -An Exceptional dining experience. -Amazing homemade tiramisu - wonderful desserts -Best meal ever - better than the meals I had while visiting Sorrento, Italy. From my cousin who went back to Belfast, Northern Ireland: I am keen to get back to visit again and hopefully we can visit the fantastic restaurant again, can't remember the name otherwise it would be getting a 5 star from me. It’s a BYBO, especially for brunch Ali and her mom do outstanding job of cooking and servicing their clients. The staff is respectful and always attentive. If you’re in Hohokus stop by Just Janice. You won’t regret it breakfast Lunch or dinner but brunch on Sunday is the best.“

“The Tapp is the quintessential local bar. The staff are very friendly, the burgers are phenomenal (as is everything else on the menu), and the prices are more than reasonable. If you find yourself in Tarrytown for shopping or seeing a show at The Music Hall, make a stop at The Tapp a part of the experience. Better still, make the trip just to visit The Tapp alone. It really is a great place to hang out with friends, catch a singer, play Tuesday Night Trivia, or have a terrific meal.“

“My husband and I got to the restaurant before the huge crowd arrived on Saturday. The bartender was fabulous but was making drinks for the entire restaurant which you could tell she was overwhelmed, understandably so. They should have had at least 3 bartenders on with the amount of business they had. By the time we were finished with our meal, which was delicious, the place was a total zoo with the volume of business. I think a lot of the bad reviews come from the staff being completely overwhelmed by the amount of people showing up. If they had double the staff it wouldn't be so bad.“

“Was here recently and had a wonderful experience! Jessica, our bartender, recommended a delicious margarita flatbread “pepped up” and it did not disappoint! She also convinced me to try the Pumpking beer for dessert and that was a delicious surprise! We will definitely be back on Mondays and/or Fridays to see Jessica and try more of her recommendations! She made us feel so welcomed and the service was top tier!“
