A touch less flavour and sodium in the broth for the mushroom soon tofu, but the kimchi soon tofu is done better. I notice the freshness of tofu, but it is subtle and more in the texture.“

Juicer and more flavorful than the chains, you could add your own dressing, and the prices were an absolute steal in today's fast food landscape. If you get lost easily (like me), it's at the back of the grocery store and you have to walk through the checkout line to get to it. Also, FYI there's lots of extra seating further back, so you don't have to fight over the one little table in the front. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the neighborhood!“

“I come here almost every week because of how delicious the food is, the incredible value for money, and they absolutely lovely people that work here. They also have a good variety of healthy meal options that are also tasty. Truly a rare gem hidden just out of plain sight.

There's a wide assortment of options, including a number of traditional Korean dishes that are becoming harder and harder to find in the city.

My go-to order is the galbi (short rib) meal, bulgogi meal, and jajangmyeon (noodles with black bean sauce) (not in the attached images).

The meals come with banchan, typically pickled radish, kimchi, tofu with mild chili sauce, bean sprouts, and Korean macaroni salad. It also comes with a rice.

The seasoning and cook of the meats they serve is genuinely addictive. There's a smokiness that I love that I haven't experienced at any other restaurant.

The jajangmyeon they make reminds me of the first time I ate it and fell in love with the dish, but could never find that same quality until I went to Mister Yummy.

The prices are extremely reasonable given the current state of things, and the value for money is absolutely there. A filling meal for 2 is about $45, which would easily be $75 elsewhere.

Lastly, the people who run this place are amongst the kindest people I've ever met, and are absolutely deserving of your patronage.“

“I received stone rice cake (3 types) from a friend today. I found out why I asked what time the pickup would be when I placed my order. The rice cake was warm and delicious, as if it had been made and delivered on time. They beautifully engraved the words 'First Birthday' on the rice cake cake for free, and there were plenty of songpyeon and sorghum red bean rice cakes. “The food was pretty good! You order and pay at a self-serve kiosk, then take your receipt and number to sit wherever you like. Once your number is called, you simply go up to pick up your food. We didn't want our dishes to be too spicy, and after paying, we were able to speak with the kitchen to request a milder spice level, which was appreciated.

We ordered the tofu seafood soup with rice and the cold noodles, both were pretty delicious.

The seating area feels a bit like a food court, with part of the space used for supermarket storage hidden behind doors. There is a public washroom and a water station with free water available as well.“

The 'tang-su-yook' was really good too as we asked for the sauce on the side so we could dip the battered pork. Hack: paid $3 for white rice and use the leftover black bean sauce to mix with rice. That said, the restaurant could use some updating. The menu books are quite worn out in several places, which gives the restaurant a somewhat dated appearance.

As for the service, I would suggest keeping your expectations modest. Like many Korean-run restaurants, the focus seems to be on the food rather than customer service. I still leave a tip because it is a social norm, but if I were judging strictly based on the level of service provided, I believe 10% would be appropriate.

I tried the Khanpungki, Tangsuyuk, cold noodles, and dynamite sushi. Everything was enjoyable, but the Khanpungki stood out the most; crispy on the outside, tender inside, and coated in a sauce that had just the right level of heat without overpowering the dish. Honestly, it was hard to stop eating it.

Service can get a bit slow when the place is busy, but the staff are consistently kind and attentive. Small touches like bringing extra plates for sharing without being asked, and offering banchan refills, really show care and hospitality.
