“The high Google rating is absolutely deserved. This modest hole in the wall restaurant delivers absolutely delicious noodle soup. The pork and pickled vegetable cut noodle soup is perfect. It pops with pickle and fresh cilantro flavour and the noodles and soft and luxurious. The cucumber salad also is perfectly balanced with salt, garlic and sour flavours. I’ll be back!“

“I don't go to Pacific Mall very often these days, especially to eat, but when I do, Sun Kitchen is my go-to place. Their food is always freshly cooked and delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. This time, I had Beef with Bitter Melon and it was very tasty. My friend had the Sweet and Sour Pork Cutlet and that was really yummy, with a nice crispy texture. Both dishes were really good! Check out Sun Kitchen the next time you're at Pacific Mall in Markham!“
“Second visit and amazing as the first. The level of consistency we have experienced here is unlike any other restaurant. The dumplings are perfect every time. The wood ear mushroom salad is a must. Wontons in spicy sauce are fantastic. This is now a must on every trip!!“

“Great place for the value to bring a family for dinner. Food is good, not great. But you can beat the value from the group set dinners.
Expect to be rushed to eat during peak times due to the turnover at the restaurant.
Parking: Small parking lot, but should be able to get a spot.“

Recommendation:
-Ban Pork Tofu Pot
-Afternoon tea 3 to 5pm all menu items includes different drinks
Not so good: Double portion rice (portion so small, quality is not consistent)“

“I really like their taste. It feels like home. The food is also very sufficient. Mung bean soup and gluten-stuffed meat are made by Wuxi people with my eyes closed.
Kid-friendliness: Shepherd's purse wontons are delicious for children“

“Nice, fast, convenient bowl of noodles. My gf and I always get the supreme beef tomato broth soup noodles.
Big bowl of noodles, nice portion of beef (the meat is also not too fatty which is good) and super hearty tomato broth.
The soup is always piping hot, never diluted and the rice noodles are always cooked firm.
The utensils also don't smell of dishwashing detergent which cannot be said of some of the other locations we've been to.
We come here as a changeup from our usual go-to, peanut chili noodle soup bowl at Deer Garden.“

“I went there for the first time today to try out the taste.
These tastes feel very authentic and delicious
Although the garlic buns are a little burnt, they are still delicious.
The salad is very thin, the ham is delicious, and the salad dressing is not too much or too little.
The lamb chop is not too smelly and has a strong lamb flavor. The fish fillet is very tasty and the side dishes include broccoli, tomatoes and corn.
Spaghetti is tougher
Fried chicken wings, they have a leafy flavor and are fried enough to be crispy
The French fries are also very delicious and delicious.
Hong Kong-style milk tea is rich enough and the tea base is fragrant enough
I think it tastes better than the milk tea in Hong Kong.
Parking: There are many parking spaces near the restaurant, but I'm not sure how many there are.“

“Would recommend and would return. some of the food was really good, some not the best. The price was defiantly cheap! Definitely felt like I got more than I paid for.
The kitchen was a bit slow, but other than that the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 4 dish menu, including a soup and steamed shrimp rice was only $97 including tip and stated on the bill that tips were already included.
The sweet and sour pork was a bit disappointing, maybe it will be better next time.
The Sou sauce stir fry pork chop was yummy, but quite salty
The lobster tomato steamed egg was really really yummy, definitely a highlight, hopefully it will be just as yummy next time.
The garlic stir fry spinach was good, a bit chewy, the veggies were mature.
The shrimp steamed rice was super yummy, in my opinion.
The $100 meal was nicely portioned, we had leftovers.
Would recommend!“

“The food recommendations were delicious! They’re halal! The portions were big, we spent about $40 for the lamb ribs and the lamb noodle soup. I’m not sure why the service has bad reviews, everyone was really nice (we would know, we’re brown) lol. They translated the menu for us and recommended great food. Will be back to try more! The food smelled so good that I started to eat before I remembered to take pictures 👀.“

“This is my go-to joint for when I am craving Chinese food. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Always ready within minutes of ordering. Love their har gow, thai vermicelli chicken, beef flat rice noodles, spicy chicken, mango chicken, fried rice and spring/egg rolls. Also the owner is super sweet and packs chili oil for me every time, as she knows I love it with my food. :)“

“Hey Noodles is my favourite noodle place. Seriously, I could go every weekend. I get the Salty Crispy Chicken noodles every time, and I have never once been disappointed. My husband usually gets the beef brisket and he loves it. Plus you can get as many orders of egg noodles as you want as long as you still have broth!“

“Been going here for probably 10 years maybe more. I always take people here when I can. They make the dumplings fresh when you order. The classic Chinese dishes are excellent. They make a bunch of soup dumplings, which are rare. The regular dumplings come in prob 20 varieties too. Lots of classic flavour offal dishes, and things that the western folks may find wierd. I'd always get a large hot and sour soup to start, easily shares between 5 people. I like MaPo , and they hit it with enough Sichuan peppercorn to numb moose lips, which I love. This place is a favorite of mine, even after eating in literally a hundred places in markham and Scarborough. If you want a dumpling place, this is a winner. And it's way cleaner than it was a decade back. Try to go in off hours, it's nice to set aside an hour or so for a proper feast.
Vegetarian options: There should be lots, I didn't specifically look, for them, but lots of veg options. And I'm sure they can make most of the stir fys and dumplings veg too.
Parking: Parking in peak times can be tough
Wheelchair accessibility: Probably meets the letter of the law, however, I don't think it would be considered easily accessible.“

“Originally just wanted to order a single dish, but couldn’t resist the set menu—includes a whole grilled fish, one meat dish, one veggie, a rice dish, and a pitcher of drink!
You can choose any grilled fish priced at $45—we picked the popular spicy tofu fish. The flavor was rich and soaked through, the meat was tender and fresh.
For the hot meat dish, we got the pickled pepper chicken giblets. It was sour and spicy enough, l very appetizing and great with rice.
For the veggie, we chose Shanghai bok choy—simple and decent, with crispy pork bits that hit the spot.
The rice dish was cured pork fried rice—super fragrant with fluffy, separated grains. Paired perfectly with the grilled fish.
Two of us shared it and still had three boxes of leftovers—definitely a great deal! Covered dinner and lunch the next day.
Also very kid-friendly. You can choose non-spicy fish—tomato-flavored grilled fish seems like something kids would love. The fried rice is great for little ones too.
The owner said this set meal promo runs until June 15. Honestly, when you come here, the grilled fish is a must—loaded with flavor, heat, and aroma. So satisfying!“

“After knowing about this place for some time, I finally went there today. Staff were friendly and the food was made very well, meaning the taste and texture was tops while the presentation was also excellent. Looking on the company's website, their menu tells you what is Vegan but the marinated Tofu (listed as Vegan on the website) came with preserved egg. The physical menus given to you does not tell you either way so it's good to either ask while having the menu already on your phone. I should have saved room for dessert as a couple of options were definitely original. Markham has some excellent Vegan/Vegetarian Chinese restaurants and this is definitely in the top 3.“

“The dumplings here are super fresh! I tried the pan-fried pork and shrimp dumplings along with the pork and shrimp wonton soup. While they were good, I found the flavors a bit underwhelming—some of the dumplings could have used a little more seasoning to stand out.
The menu offers a nice variety, so there’s something for everyone. If you're craving fresh dumplings, this is a solid choice.“

“After visiting the nearby attractions we decided to come to Byward market once again and on the way to a chain of restaurants we noticed this place. Bearing in mind is so difficult to find Pecking duck in Canada (even Chinese people in supermarkets do not know here what this is, while in the UK you find it not only in restaurants but in chain of big supermarkets too) we decided to access this place, located on the second floor and have the duck:\n- very friendly servers from China with basic English yet way friendlier than many older Chinese servers I came across in other restaurants; they are a true credit to this place as they were paying attention to when we needed little things\n- this restaurant is more upmarket than the other places in Byward market and I am so sorry I messed up their white table cloth with the sauce\n- the duck was great but what a pity the pancakes were thicker than usual and also placed in folded squares which made it very difficult to unfold and even our server could not do it \n- the place was empty as we arrived but 2 more tables got later occupied and we liked this quiet ambiance as we were positioned near the fireplace and window noticing the Beaver's tail across the road for our dessert we love so much!!!“

“Amazing restaurant serving northwestern comfort foods! The service is wonderful and the staff really make you feel like you’re eating at your aunty’s house. Staff can speak both Mandarin and English, so don’t hesitate to try this restaurant! The restaurant is not too busy most of the time, so you’ll likely be able to walk-in easily.
Their menu items are all packed with umami flavour, with many options for spicy and non-spicy lovers! Soups have a rich bone broth with many dishes being noodle-based. They have a wide variety of proteins from beef to chicken to lamb to tofu, so there’s something for everyone.
We had their new combo specials that come with 4 fried chicken wings and a drink—it’s such a good deal! Food portion is large and so delicious, and at such a great price of $15-17 each set!
Highly recommend stopping by!“

“Carb counter? Forget it!
This place was recommended to me by my online friends. So we’d thought we’d try it out.
The restaurant is in First Markham Place. Man oh man. Do NOT come to park on the weekend. It took me a good 30 mins to find parking here.
The restaurant is not in the mall, but one of the restaurants on the edge. It’s quite a small restaurant with limited items.
The main claim to fame is the beef soup noodles. They also have a bunch of snack. So We ordered one large beef tendon bowl as well as a pork dry noodle bowl. We skipped the stinky tofu.
They have three different noodles, glass noodles, rice noodles, or their homemade noodles. We decided on the homemade noodles.
Boy oh boy, the noodles bowls did not disappoint. There was a generous helping of noodles in each bowl. We tried the soup noodles first. The beef soup was excellent. It was salty and sweet. The salt was not overpowering. It was fairly complex in flavours. The noodles had the correct springiness. It came with plenty of beef chunks and tendons that were firm, but not too soft; the beef had a bite to it.
Next we tried the dry noodle bowl. It was flavored with soy sauce and sesame oil. It was also delicious. The pork was very nicely seasoned. But the true star was the soya egg. It had absorbed the soya sauce flavor and had a hint of star anise. It was absolutely incredible.
Overall the meal was quite enjoyable. I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to anyone who has a craving for noodles. 🍝“

“I've eaten here a few times and the atmosphere is really good. The food is also delicious. The resident singers all have their own characteristics, but overall they are all very good. I just don’t understand why I clicked on something to pick up on your own website. It was the best thing and no one informed me, not even a phone call. The order shows up in preparation. I don’t know why they ignore pick up orders so much. I really have nothing to say after waiting half an hour for two dishes in the middle of winter. I hope it can be improved, okay?“

“The tofu dessert was very delicious! But a bit pricey lol
The place is crowded and usually there's a wait but we went for afternoon tea time so there was no wait.
Milk tea is not good, not enough milk and way too strong, won't order that again.
Otherwise, overall food was delicious 😋“

“Yang's Braised Chicken Rice (Woodbine) is best known for its signature dish, Braised Chicken Rice. The braised chicken is tender and flavorful, better add some tufu skin and quail eggs, since there are so many add on you can choose, making it a perfect match for rice. Other dishes on the menu are considered average in terms of taste.“

“I have visited this place in Woodbine during lunchtime with my officemates. Then also went for dinner with friends. We were surprised that food is flavourful and in big portions. It was mild enough that we have requested for some dishes and some also spicy. We enjoyed it a lot and love the dishes like the Spicy julienne potato salad, Mini BBQ lamb skewers, Beef-onion roll pancake and dumplings.“

Oh man, Peking man, you certainly deserve the name with your delicious rendition of my favourite Peking Duck. A paper-thin skin that has an addicting cracker-like crisp, concealing a thin layer of duck fat that melts in your mouth, while the meat attached is moist and tender. That wasn't enough to satisfy our hungry stomachs, and luckily they had a giant portion of stir-fried beef noodles for cheap.“
