“I have been to the Downtown Chinatown location and now trying this Markham location. It's not easy to find a table here at the Markham location as it's constantly have so many people waiting and I don't want to lineup, so it took this long for me to dine here at the Markham location.
The food menu is pretty much the same as the Downtown Chinatown location.
This location is spacious, quite a number of tables and seating area. Modern, clean and brightly lit throughout the entire resto. Nice animated graphics on the walls.
We ordered pork intestines soup glass noodles and little dragon steam dumplings (xi lung bao) - 6 pieces in a steamy hot basket.
Little Dragon Dumplings:
- steamy hot
- juicy, good pork juice explode in your mouth
Pork Intestines Glass Noodles:
- good portion
- spicy
- no weird smell in the pork intestines, which are major bonus (quite a good amount of pork intestines).
If you can't eat spicy, you can ask for less spicy. Unfortunately, I asked if it could be mild, the staff said no, you can only ask for less spicy but it's can't be mild.
I wish they have more soup noodles variety as many soup noodles options consist of beef (which my parents don't eat beef).
Anyhow, food and service are great here. Staff constantly come over to ask if you need anything, they clean up the plate often, we asked for take-out box with no questions asked.
They accept credit card, which is a major plus.
I now understand why it's so popular coz it serves authentic Chinese food with good portion, and amazing pricing. I think their prices are so attractive, way cheaper than many other restaurants.
Soup Noodles at $9.99 CDN + tax, steam dumplings at $5.99 CDN, Cold appetizer ranges from $3.99 to $4.99 CDN and pan fried scallion pancake at $2.99 CDN, unheard of pricing in Toronto!
We will definitely come back to try more items. So many items that we want to try.“

“The free range chicken was very good. My partner seemed to enjoy the Spicy Grilled Fish as well, though it wasn’t my taste. Still, according to my partner this was quite authentic Chongqing cuisine, so if that’s what you’re craving, I’d definitely recommend visiting here.“

“Tried Meetrice Noodle recently and really enjoyed the experience. They’re well known for their sour pickle fish noodle, and it didn’t disappoint. The rice noodles are freshly made — bouncy, chewy, and very satisfying.
You can choose between basa fish or snakehead fish, and the fish was very fresh and tender. A nice bonus is the free unlimited white rice or grain rice, which makes the meal even more filling.
We also tried their new stir-fried clams and razor clams — super flavorful and great with rice.
The space is clean and spacious, making it comfortable for families or groups. Overall, a solid spot for noodle and seafood lovers. Would definitely come back to try more dishes.“

“The female cashier was absolutely incredible! Super helpful in choosing our dishes; & just overall great vibes & great at her job. The food was also insanely good. We had the pork soup dumplings and the hot and sour soup with beef. I also have a peanut allergy & she reassured me she would make sure I was safe to eat; (& I survived so they are very safe with allergens!) 10/10 for everything about this place. “This is my go-to joint for when I am craving Chinese food. Food is always fresh and flavorful. Always ready within minutes of ordering. Love their har gow, thai vermicelli chicken, beef flat rice noodles, spicy chicken, mango chicken, fried rice and spring/egg rolls. Also the owner is super sweet and packs chili oil for me every time, as she knows I love it with my food. :)“

“Their dish has the strong flavors that I like. The chef’s stir frying skill pretty good too. Spicy dishes taste spicy and veggie dishes are lightly flavored.
It’s very easy to park in this mall so it’s easy to buy food here. The tricky part is that this restaurant is in the completely opposite direction of the food court. They have indoor dining seats but I usually do take out.“

“I went there for the first time today to try out the taste.
These tastes feel very authentic and delicious
Although the garlic buns are a little burnt, they are still delicious.
The salad is very thin, the ham is delicious, and the salad dressing is not too much or too little.
The lamb chop is not too smelly and has a strong lamb flavor. The fish fillet is very tasty and the side dishes include broccoli, tomatoes and corn.
Spaghetti is tougher
Fried chicken wings, they have a leafy flavor and are fried enough to be crispy
The French fries are also very delicious and delicious.
Hong Kong-style milk tea is rich enough and the tea base is fragrant enough
I think it tastes better than the milk tea in Hong Kong.
Parking: There are many parking spaces near the restaurant, but I'm not sure how many there are.“

“Finally a very good vegetarian Chinese food restaurant in Markham. Unlike most Chinese restaurants which offer a couple of vegetarian options , this restaurant only offers vegetarian food. We ordered 7 different dishes and they were all delicious and beautifully presented. A must visit for vegetarians. We will definitely be going again.“

“For some of the most authentic dumplings please indulge yourself here! They have variety and the staff is very friendly. It is quite a sight to watch them making them from scratch. “I was surprised how family friendly this restaurant was. They had plastic dinnerware for my child, offered cheap fries on the menu for the picky eaters, proactively offer scissors for noodles to share with a child!
That aside, I've always loved their potato noodles. Portions are plentiful, budget friendly yet still so tasty. The soup is flavourful and I love the bouncy texture. I like many of their toppings and love the pork belly most.“

“A very traditional dim sum experience. For the regular prices, the value is excellent, and the portion sizes of each dish are quite large. We came on a Sunday morning and didn’t have to wait at all, which was a nice surprise.
Nothing overly impressive, but definitely nothing disappointing either — a solid, reliable choice for classic dim sum.“

“The best dumplings I have ever had in Toronto for ten years! I was so impressed by the flavour and chewy thin wrap! It is not salty like other restaurants. The stuffing seems pretty good without artificial ingredients like MSG etc! I was very very happy with it! The size is big too! Please keep as it is. Don’t change anything or lower the quality, shrink the size like other restaurants!!! Definitely will go back again and again!“

“On a hunt for Christmas Eve dinner, we weren’t sure where to go. Having recently moved to Markham, we haven’t found a good take-out/delivery spot for Chinese food. Markham has a huge variety of Asian food, and we’ve found some good places, but we were looking for the more “americanized” version - and this was exactly what we wanted - with quality and flavour far above our expectations. The portions are very generous - every container was filled to the max. Their fried batter is light and crispy. Their dishes are nicely seasoned and spiced. Their sauces are not gloopy and overly sweet, they’re perfect. Definitely our new go-to from now on!!! So glad we didn’t give up and order from the big buffet chain. This was so far superior!“

“Yang's Braised Chicken Rice (Woodbine) is best known for its signature dish, Braised Chicken Rice. The braised chicken is tender and flavorful, better add some tufu skin and quail eggs，since there are so many add on you can choose，making it a perfect match for rice. “Their hot pot is amazing and portions are huge. Entire staff was very helpful, since we had trouble reading the menu and selecting what to order, they suggested some really good options, we loved everything especially the steamed wonton/suimei. Hot pot was definitely waaaaay huge for 4 people. We loved everything. We were the only non chinese family there and entire staff helped us and guided us through everything, they gave us option to replace sea food in hotpot, replace the cuts of meat with different ones….over all great place, great peple!“

“Massive selection on the menu. There are some misses, but majority of them are quite good. The hai nan chicken rice is above average, but the portion is enormous. My favourite dish is fried beef thick rice noodle. Very well cooked and got the wok aroma. Bitter melon beef on rice is also great. Service is straight forward, quite friendly.“

“Discovered this eatery 20+ yrs ago when it was in Agincourt. Our family loves it and has been going back regularly. Very happy that tgey have kept the original taste after moving to this new location with more space, more pleasant decor n environ, and improved service. Good food and good service. “I came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. We got the Peking duck (2nd course was lettuce wraps), hot and sour soup, shrimp balls, soup buns and a veg dish. The Peking duck was the highlight of the meal (and IMO, the highlight of the menu), with the rest of the dishes ranging from okay to decent.
Overall, while I wouldn't necessarily come here for a special occasion, the Peking duck is definitely worth a visit.“
