“Really appreciate how Pumpernickels allows short notice catering. Ended up ordering from them twice in a row for a couple of meetings. The pictures are from first date, just regular sandwiches and wraps. The second day we ordered the artisan sandwiches which everyone preferred! Those were really good. I would definitely order those again over the regular sandwiches and wraps, but both orders were good.“

I really enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere this place and reminds me of a South Korean convenience store. This place has a lot of verity from Buladk Noodles to Flavoured Milk from Binggrae.

I really love their sushi they have and enjoyed it. I got the 8 piece Crab Salad & Avocado Roll and I loved it overall, it was fresh as well.

Everything tastes fresh and full of flavour. This time we ordered an assorted sandwich platter with vegetarian options as well, and everyone enjoyed it.

“We placed a small catering order for a guest at my workplace who had dietary restrictions. Also, one of our staff has a gluten allergy.

We went for the lifestyle bowl options and I placed the order with the owner with these restrictions in mind. He was very thorough with letting me know which base, protein, veggies, add-ons and toppings are gluten-free and which aren’t. When it came time to pickup, I was so pleased with the way the order was packed and prepared - labelled and easy to carry, napkins and utensils included.

“Went to The Dixon at the Hilton Hotel on March 26th 2026 for dinner with a family member making a stopover by Pearson International airport. She was staying at the Hampton hotel, but the walk to The Dixon was only 2 minutes away.

In a nutshell there were only two dinner menu items on the table at The Dixon I’d happily eat again.

The creamy seafood ravioli dish was one of them. Rich tasty and actually comforting without turning into a gluey mess. The other standout was the braised beef dish with mashed potatoes and vegetables. Tender meat good gravy and a proper satisfying plate.

Now for the rest.

Skip the crab cakes. They came with a weird soup-like sauce on them that did them no favours at all. The garden salad was… a salad. The salmon was straightforward and nothing special. They didn’t mess it up so congratulations are in order there.

Also no free bread. Not a tragedy but at a hotel restaurant it felt like an omission.

As for the Old Fashioned cocktail - it looked like one but seemed to be missing the part where the alcohol makes its presence known. After a few sips I was left wondering if the bartender and the bourbon had some kind of falling out.

So while I can’t praise the menu across the board those two mains were genuinely delicious and the reason this review isn’t much harsher. If you find yourself staying near this airport hotel and need a decent dinner, start here.“

“This is my second visit to this location, and both times they haven’t had pepper and salt sachets available. It feels a bit odd because these are typically placed near the pickup counter for customers at most other locations.

“I have been a regular customer for 2 years now. Absolutely love their cream of tomato soup. I would highly recommend trying that, it's the best you would get anywhere else. Also their Mac n Cheese is delicious and a must try. It has a creamy velvety texture. The staff is very friendly and will help you customize your order.
