“Had a late lunch here on Saturday. It was my first time and I loved it. We arrived around 2pm. Lots of free parking available. We received a friendly greeting and directed to an open table. Every table had a little tablet to order from. You can also request other items. Each table has drawers with cutlery and napkins. We ordered Kim's JJamppong and a new item (white JJamppong). The first is spice and had a deepr flavour from the pork. The second is brimming with smoky flavour. Both are great! And of course the noodles 🍜 are a huge highlight. We also ordered sweet and sour pork. Very unique and tasty. All dishes are great value. Loved the service and the kpop. Would love to come again.“

Make sure to pay attention to what you're ordering and to keep an eye out for the chili logo; the regular fried chicken was spicy, which was a awesome surprise cause I usually ask for spicy. “I recently tried Bibimbap and it was a really enjoyable dish. The mix of fresh vegetables, rice, and savory sauce created a great balance of flavors and textures. I especially liked how each ingredient had its own taste, but everything came together perfectly when mixed.

“Visited today with friends. Everything we ordered was really good — chicken katsu, cheese braised ribs, and tofu kimchi.

The tofu kimchi was my favorite, it was just really tasty.

Today I brought friends here expecting a great experience, as this used to be one of my favorite Korean restaurants. Unfortunately, the service was extremely disappointing.

We asked the server for extra side dishes, and he simply brought them over without mentioning that there would be an additional charge. Later, we noticed a $7 charge per side on the receipt, totaling $21. At no point were we informed about the cost or given an option for portion size.

When we raised the issue, the response made things worse. We were told the receipt couldn’t be changed, the manager wasn’t available, and the staff weren’t trained to use the system. That level of unpreparedness is unacceptable.

It’s really disappointing to see a place I used to recommend go downhill like this. Unfortunately, this was my last visit.

My go-to spot for Chicken Katsu and Short Rib!
The Chicken Katsu is always perfectly crispy, and the sauce is unbelievably good—rich, tangy, and addictive. Paired with the fresh cabbage salad on the side, it hits all the right notes. The short rib is tender and flavorful, and the rice portion is just right—not too much, not too little.“

“Stumbled upon this hidden gem absolutely by random luck. Originally I was looking a that old school burger place near by, and saw this come up as nearby! And I am super happy to find this.

The place is in a warehouse area. Mainly catering take out or probably delivery. Almost wanna call it a hole-in-a-wall place. Rather hard to find. But its worth looking for it!

The fried chicken is Soooooooo juicy! The veggie topic is fresh. The sauce actually goes surprisingly well with the poutine!

So we order 2 sandwiches, a chicken poutine and a medium order of wings . And we totally have food coma half way through! The portion is very genoirous! We still have stuff left for dinner!

Also the staff is super nice and helpful!

“It was a spontaneous late-night snack.

Last night was truly one to remember — the street was bustling around midnight with an exuberant rally on Yonge St. It also marked the end of an unforgettable February for me.
At first, I was just looking for something simple, but as I drove down the street, I changed my mind and craved Korean food. I couldn’t help laughing, realizing it had turned into the longest drive for a late-night meal because of the rally.

When I finally got there, I only had about 45 minutes. Since it was my first time visiting, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The side dishes came out first — all delicious — and that’s when my hunger pangs really kicked in.

I ordered the bulgogi on a hot plate and gamjatang with noodles. Both were savoury and full of flavour. The servers were kind and attentive, and they didn’t rush me, even though I finished right at 1 AM.

I loved their brick counter and cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back for the pot ❤️“

“Hidden gems that I truly don’t want to tell. Great amount of food! Taste is fantastic! Love gamjatang (a bit spicy but very flavourful!) No, everything was tasty! Old style place which I love it! Please don’t change anything the way it looks and tastes. Small restaurant so of course take a bit time but I can be patient. Tight space so better go when not busy time. Highly recommend :)“

“I always love to eat at woojoo bunsik, first time came to this location though. It’s pretty small branch, so if you have more than 4 people, it would be difficult to find a table. We got the new bulgogi chicken bokki as my friend can’t eat spicy, we love it! Such a great combination since we always eat tteokbokki with the original sauce or other spicy sauces. And of course, we got the spicy mayo salmon rice ball, super yummy. And last one, we ordered unagi tofu pocket. I loved all of the food!! Basically 10 out of 10, it’s just my problem it was so cold there but obv would come back here“

“I cant peak enough about the food at this place. it's by far the best value for your money. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are very reasonable for the $ they ask. Got the koryo samgyetang and it was perfection, i liked the fact that the broth comes entirely unseasoned yet full of flavor, they give you salt and paper mixture to add as you wish. “Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

The gamja tang was ok - wasn't wow, kind of average I guess. The service was amazing though. We came for a late lunch, early dinner and the place was empty. “Absolutely delicious fried chicken! Havent been to The Fry in a long time but their August BOGO caught my eye and we ordered it. I got the tried and true classic flavours, green onion soy and special sauce (spicy), which was super tasty. I regretted not studying the menu more as they have some cool new flavours like sweet corn that is really popular in Korea now.
I forgot to mention I wanted bone-in so I received my order as boneless and surprisingly the pieces were so juicy! They gave a mix of white and dark meat and the meat was absolutely tender. They also supplied cubed pickled radish and 2 cans of pop with my order. Devoured all of it before I could take any pictures.“

“I always get their combos which are a fantastic deal. Combo 4 is enough to feed 4 people. It is also good for vegetarians because there's no meat but you can pay to upgrade the tteokbokki, roll, and rice ball to include other toppings. My preferred rice ball is kimchi-tuna and for the roll, the beef one.
The fried rice cakes are deep fried and crispy with fish cakes covered in a spicy sauce similar to tteokbokki and they have a fantastic texture and taste.
For confusion on the rice ball, it arrives as a bowl of rice as the base, various toppings on the top and you're meant to mix it with your hands and form them into little balls.
They are usually quite busy so it's recommended to order ahead of time. They now have an online platform to order from which is convenient. Sometimes when they serve your food later than expected, they gift a free pop.
