“Two different Korean friends recommended the Jajangmyeon here, so I finally came to try it — and they were absolutely right😂

The sauce was rich, savory, and full of flavor without being too heavy. There was plenty of sauce, and the noodles went perfectly with it. Honestly, I have nothing bad to say about the taste. It was just really good 🖤

The portion was satisfying, the price was reasonable, and I also liked that it came with the classic side of pickled radish and raw onion.

I came specifically for the Jajangmyeon, and I left completely satisfied. I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m craving it again! 😊✨“

“I love this place! Their variations in the soup dishes, large portions, and above all, the most generous prices for Korean cuisines I’ve seen in Toronto, are reasons why I order from here every time I’m sick.

I ordered Ddeokguk (Rice Cake Soup) yesterday, and although it wasn’t my first time I ordered it from this place, I always get genuinely surprised by how it’s full of not only rice cakes but nutritious add-ons like eggs, seaweed, and veggies. I would’ve liked it more if they added bone broth, but that’s a minor thing.

I also like that they have a “Soup Only” option for like 2 bucks cheaper. It allows me to not spend more than I need to on something I already have at home.

I would definitely visit here if it was right across my home, but unfortunately 7 out of 10 times when I order from here I’m sick, so I don’t have energy to go😭 I’m surprised that the in-person prices are even lower than UberEats. The pricing on UberEats is already generous!!!“

“Honestly wasn’t expecting much when coming in. They seated us in the section that had majority tablets; Genius idea. The service was fast and efficient. Everything you need is right there at the table or can be answered by the tablet. The table has compartments where you can find utensils, napkins, etc. The food was reasonably priced, generous portions, and tasted good. If there’s anything you need you can look to the tablet to help you. There’s an option to call a server and has options for your inquiry.

“You need to come here for Korean Fried Chicken. The chicken is saucy, flavourful, juicy, and above all, crispy. I find a lot of spots fail to hit the crispy mark after being drenched in sauce but here, they really hit the mark!

We also ordered the Rose Rice Cakes and Fish Cake Soup. That rice cake is SPICY but some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s sweet, savoury, and cheesy. The fish cake soup is a classic comforting dish.“

“That fried chicken sandwich is currently sitting as my #1 in Toronto, and I've eaten a lot. The fillings, the sauce, the bread, all so good. If you're in the area and you need a lunch, call ahead for a sandwich, will not regret. It is also massive! Their fried chicken is really crispy. It's on my top 5 list for crispiest chicken in the city. Chicken is fresh, oil is fresh. I like that they don't put the sauce on your chicken, that way it won't get soggy on your way home and when you reheat, the sauce won't burn. Their spicy yangnyeom was good, but not the best in town. Their soy garlic was only ok, a bit too runny. Their radishes were also only ok. Their kimchi fries were good, but Banh Mi Boys ironically does that better. But without a doubt, I'm going back for that fried chicken sandwich.

“My aunt & I came from Texas for BTS and I was craving Korean food and found this place near our Airbnb.

The food was delicious especially the spicy bean sprout soup we get in the beginning. (Something I will def miss going back to Tx)

“I was a table of one (me, myself, and I), and the staff was still friendly and attentive. They gave me 3 appetizers to start with (other tables with 2 or more customers got at least 4, which is fair). I ate all 3 plates of appetizers, and they asked me at least twice if I wanted more. I caved and asked for the Goguma Mattang (that was not initially served), and they gave it to me right away.

I ordered the Gamja-tang, and it was delicious! So flavourful. Definitely will come back again when in the area.

“Nak Won has been a longstanding restaurant in the Richmond Hill area, conveniently located near Hillcrest Mall. I've been coming here more frequently lately because it's quickly become one of my go-to spots. Over the past few months, I've visited at least five times.

The service has consistently been friendly and efficient. The staff are also incredibly thoughtful (they've even offered to take family photos for us after noticing we were trying to squeeze everyone into a selfie). I also appreciate their online ordering system, which makes dining much more convenient. You can easily request small things like napkins or water/tea without having to flag someone down.

Every dish I've tried so far has been delicious, and I'd happily order any of them again. The portions are also quite generous, making most dishes perfect for sharing.

Some of my favourites include:
* Gamjatang (Pork Bone Soup)
* Gamjatang Ramyun
* RC8 Cheese Katsu Dolsot
* KD6 HaeMul Pajeon (Seafood Pancake)
* KD12 Rabokki
* KD13 Bulgogi Tteokbokki
* Rose Jjampong (both the beef and seafood versions are fantastic!)
* AP10 LA Kalbi (delicious, though the portion is on the smaller side)

And finally, I love that they serve purple rice; it's a small touch that makes the meal feel even more special! I highly recommend.“

“Generous portions and great gamjatang. Had a really good perilla taste. My favourite was their new dish which was the grilled mapo ppyeo gui. Serves 2-3 people. The meat was tender and had a nice grilled flavour. The sauce was sweet with a little bit of spice. You will need to order a side of rice for their shared dishes.“

“Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

“The food we ordered was authentic Korean dishes & it tastes exactly authentic. Yukgaejang broth tastes better than many other ones I have tried. Spicy beef intestines soup, would recommend for hang over. Overall, everything was great especially the bun chun tasted exactly the way my grandma used to make it.“

“I cant peak enough about the food at this place. it's by far the best value for your money. Not only is the food delicious but the portions are very reasonable for the $ they ask. “Absolutely delicious! I ordered the beef intestine hot pot and spicy stir-fried cow knee cartilage, and both were amazing.

The intestines were so clean and perfectly trimmed with just the right amount of fat. The portion was very generous, and the broth was incredibly clean-tasting while still packed with flavor. The thick noodles that came with it were also so good!

The server was incredibly kind and took the time to explain how to enjoy the hot pot, which made the experience even better.

The cow knee cartilage was so tender and flavorful—honestly one of my favorite dishes!

Our food came out quickly and was very delicious. And boiling on the table, which is an ideal site with Korean soup.

We had the combo (grilled mackerel & seafood tofu soup). My mom had the RICH soybean soup...so good!

“This was actually the first place where I tried Korean marinated raw crab in Toronto, and it has remained one of my go-to spots whenever I'm craving it. I've also recommended it to quite a few friends over the years.

The marinated raw crab is definitely the reason I keep coming back. It's flavorful and especially delicious when eaten with rice.“
