“Be coming to this place for many years - never had chance to try the other offerings - try to stray from their Gamja tang. Hard to do - comes in a boiling hot stone bowl fill - meaty tender bones, veggies and a potato. Kim chi and a bowl of healthy rice is included. “Had a late lunch here on Saturday. It was my first time and I loved it. We arrived around 2pm. Lots of free parking available. We received a friendly greeting and directed to an open table. Every table had a little tablet to order from. You can also request other items. Each table has drawers with cutlery and napkins. We ordered Kim's JJamppong and a new item (white JJamppong). The first is spice and had a deepr flavour from the pork. The second is brimming with smoky flavour. Both are great! And of course the noodles 🍜 are a huge highlight. We also ordered sweet and sour pork. Very unique and tasty. All dishes are great value. Loved the service and the kpop. Would love to come again.“

“Amazing fried chicken! My friends and I loved how crispy the chicken was and the flavors that followed. Make sure to pay attention to what you're ordering and to keep an eye out for the chili logo; the regular fried chicken was spicy, which was a awesome surprise cause I usually ask for spicy. I can't wait to go into the location to eat I bet it's even better right after frying. I will definitely be ordering again in the future.“

“We were strolling around, saw this and decided to give it a try. We have never tried Jokbal before but we are quite adventurous in our taste buds. Oh boy did this surprise us!! We ordered the medium size Jokbal with Jellyfish Salad and we (2 men) were well-fed!

The taste surprises us in a good way and we liked the sweet, spicy, savoury, refreshing and crunchiness all together. We will definitely try Jokbal again!!“

“The place is hidden, so it was a bit confusing to find at first. We got the boneless medium yangnyeom and honeyed soy garlic chicken. The chicken was really crispy and fresh, clean meat, good portion for the price. They put the sauce on a separate container, so the chicken stayed crispy when we ate it.

We tried it for the first time with our friends, and the honeyed soy garlic was our favorite. Our friends even said it was probably one of the best korean fried chicken they've had, and the kids loved it too. It will take a bit for the order to be ready, as there is only one person working there. We'll definitely come back!“

“I recently tried Bibimbap and it was a really enjoyable dish. The mix of fresh vegetables, rice, and savory sauce created a great balance of flavors and textures. I especially liked how each ingredient had its own taste, but everything came together perfectly when mixed.

The portion was satisfying without being too heavy, and the spicy sauce added a nice kick without overpowering the dish. Overall, it felt healthy, flavorful, and fun to eat.

That plate is just half we ate already and I wanted to post a review. We couldn’t finish everything lol I felt bad so I left a review. But I did take some food home!“

“Hidden gems that I truly don’t want to tell. Great amount of food! Taste is fantastic! Love gamjatang (a bit spicy but very flavourful!) No, everything was tasty! Old style place which I love it! Please don’t change anything the way it looks and tastes. Small restaurant so of course take a bit time but I can be patient. Tight space so better go when not busy time. Highly recommend :)“

“I always love to eat at woojoo bunsik, first time came to this location though. It’s pretty small branch, so if you have more than 4 people, it would be difficult to find a table. We got the new bulgogi chicken bokki as my friend can’t eat spicy, we love it! Such a great combination since we always eat tteokbokki with the original sauce or other spicy sauces. And of course, we got the spicy mayo salmon rice ball, super yummy. And last one, we ordered unagi tofu pocket. I loved all of the food!! Basically 10 out of 10, it’s just my problem it was so cold there but obv would come back here“

The restaurant has many branches, and you can get free refills of the steamed egg, corn, and side dishes in the small bowls (as long as the barbecue you ordered is still being served). The Korean raw marinated crab was incredibly fresh, with deep, well-balanced flavours and each bite was perfectly marinated and seasoned, not overpowering at all. You can really tell care and quality go into their food. The service was excellent: fast, efficient, and attentive, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We were pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t busy on a Saturday afternoon, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. Everything came out quickly and was beautifully prepared. The only small thing I wished for was some nori to pair with the crab, which would have made it even better. Overall, this place is a gem, and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking to try authentic, high-quality Korean marinated crab. I’ll definitely be coming back!

“I received stone rice cake (3 types) from a friend today. I found out why I asked what time the pickup would be when I placed my order. The rice cake was warm and delicious, as if it had been made and delivered on time. They beautifully engraved the words 'First Birthday' on the rice cake cake for free, and there were plenty of songpyeon and sorghum red bean rice cakes. I was moved. thank you The price was also better than other places. I highly recommend it?“

“Cute Korean restaurant about 3-5 min walk from Finch Subway station. Tip: exit through the passenger pickup area of Finch station if you're walking, that's the closest exit to the restaurant. I came here specifically to try their Ganjang Gejang (raw blue crab marinated in soy sauce), it seems that they might be the only restaurant that serves this dish in Toronto, that I could find and know of. There is a very slight fishy smell when I sniffed it, which is expected since it's raw crab, but when I was eating it, I didn't find it fishy at all, it was really delicious. The crab roe was soft and rich, the meat was smooth and fresh, everything went really well with the rice. I can see why this dish is called a rice thief now. I was really tempted to order another bowl of rice but on account of my diet I stopped myself. I would definitely try this dish again. I also ordered the kimchi stew and my friend got a spicy beef soup. Although it was not as outstanding as the Ganjang Gejang, Both were delicious and portions were good. The side dishes were good as well. Not sure if there's free refills or not since we didn't ask for any. The service was good, it's a smaller shop, seems like it's family owned. People were doing multi jobs so if you wanted more tea or something you have to ask them, they do really try to check up you though and would walk around once in awhile to refill your tea and see how you're doing. Overall a good dining experience, I would come back to try their raw crab. However if I was just going out for Korean food then I may not specifically go out of my way to come here since although the other dishes were good, it's not super outstanding. Aside from indoor dining they also have outdoor dining, there's a big white tent outside, they provides pretty good shelter, there's also hanging lights out there, really cute set up. We dined inside though since it was windy.“

“The food is really the standout at this location my favorite is their eggplant dolsot bibimbap, which we crave at least once a month. The food is served very quickly, but once the food is served it's a little harder trying to get through attention of the wait staff. That being said they are friendly and try their best to meet your needs.“

“I feel enthusiastic to leave a 5-star review purely based on the way they packed the tonkatsu for takeout, when I went this past Sunday evening.

The tonkatsu was on top of everything else, with the carton open (presumably so that the crunchiness of the tonkatsu wouldn't be killed by steam not being allowed to escape). To add to that, the tonkatsu sauce in the plastic container was wrapped in aluminum foil (presumably to try to counter opening the carton, to keep the sauce from getting too cold).

When you observe attention to detail like that, it gives you confidence that they take care of other important details you don't see/notice behind the scenes either. That to me deserves 5 stars.

One very minor note: the takeout specials on the website have an old PDF that says they're 12.99, though it seems they are actually charging 14.99. It would be nice if the website were updated.“

In this few year, they change their menu and become more busy now.We order a B1 combo , all the dish are huge and we cannot eat them all .The side dish are very good, I love their kimchi and sweet potatoes. After finish my lunch at 1:30 pm. I see a line up outside the restaurant. Please come early for the delicious food.one star deduct forvthe service is not enough waitress to serve, I see all the waitress are busy and nobody can help for refill the tea.“

“Absolutely delicious fried chicken! Havent been to The Fry in a long time but their August BOGO caught my eye and we ordered it. I got the tried and true classic flavours, green onion soy and special sauce (spicy), which was super tasty. I regretted not studying the menu more as they have some cool new flavours like sweet corn that is really popular in Korea now.
I forgot to mention I wanted bone-in so I received my order as boneless and surprisingly the pieces were so juicy! They gave a mix of white and dark meat and the meat was absolutely tender. They also supplied cubed pickled radish and 2 cans of pop with my order. Devoured all of it before I could take any pictures.“
