“I get soooo nervous trying new restaurants as I’m suppperr picky, but I tried the beef yakisoba and tempura shrimp for the first time and it was amazing. Prices are incredible. Portion sizes are more than enough.

I always add extra sauces and spice but I would really enjoy it without adding anything extra. The flavor, freshness, and warm/ welcoming service is there!!

I ordered to go, food was prepared quickly even with about 5 people ahead of me. I decided to eat inside and order a drink and the lady was super kind and welcoming when some places can be sticklers about that.

This is now a staple when I decide to treat myself !!“

“Place is fairly good for teriyaki. We only get food for dine in so I don't know what the take out is like. Pricing is good for the portions and food is always tasty. The only thing about this place is the video poker that is in the other room. The machines can be a little loud but otherwise it's not a huge deal“

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“

“Authentic and fresh tuna bowl made with pride and care. Delicately placed salmon eggs and sliced green onion, generous portions and clean food and kitchen. I will come back. The cashier was mid but the chef was the real deal / I gave him a rose and thanked him. 🙏“

My husband and I dropped in for our anniversary and we didn’t have a reservation but they were able to seat us so quickly even with the rush they had. The food was incredible! “Stopped in around noon last Friday for lunch. There were about 8 people in line placing orders, plus the phone was ringing off the hook for takeout orders, so obviously this place is popular. I ordered the yakisoba noodles with chicken ($12) and my friend ordered the lunch special ($13) that included chicken teriyaki, 3 potstickers, and a fountain drink. Plenty of booth and table seating. It took about 20 minutes for the food to arrive, but worth the wait. The portions were huge, and everything was delicious and well prepared. I ended up taking the leftovers home and still had plenty for lunch the next day. I will definitely go back again to try some of the other menu items.“

“Went here on a whim with a colleague and the atmosphere is gorgeous and refined but has a taste of izakaya to it! The food was absolutely delicious! I had the shrimp tempura maki and the wagyu (from Hokkaido, not American wagyu) nigiri and it was perfect! My colleague had the sashimi bento and bao bun. She fell in love with the bao bun and miso soup that came with the bento. Staff are super nice, attentive, and ready to answer any questions about the menu. I will definitely be back!“

“Had breakfast the other day at Yuzu and had a wonderful experience. Location is unassuming and is a hidden treasure. Meal was fresh, tasty and incredibly traditional. I enjoyed the variety of the breakfast meal and received great service from Yuko.

“What a gem! The food was excellent—I enjoyed it so much that I nearly finished everything before even thinking to take a picture. The owner personally serves each dish and shows genuine care for every customer, which made the experience even more special.
The portions were generous, and every bite was full of flavor. We ordered the General Tso’s chicken ($11.95) and Kung Pao chicken ($12.95), and both were outstanding. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity you receive.

“Parking was a pain in the rear, but that's the only negative thing I have to say.

We ordered a few rolls and a chirashi, and want to come back just to try more. The rolls were decent size and the chirashi had plenty of fish, all feeling fresh.

Definitely recommend this place, even in between the surrounding restaurants.“

If I was to critique anything, it would be that the steak was a little dry. Otherwise, I will come back here if I go to the food carts again. So far it has been the best one in that food cart pod.“

“I writhing this to let everyone know that Oyatsupan Bakers (specifically Beaverton store) is my go to place. A little background, my wife last Christmas went through a very serious set of surgeries that kept her in the hospital for a month. We preordered the Christmas set thinking we were both going to be able to enjoy it. Unfortunately I was the only one to fully enjoy the set (which was amazing btw) when I picked it up I was upset that I couldn't share it with my wife. Fast forward to today we preordered the 4th of July set . When I picked it up they remembered us! “I only ever get sushi burritos here and they are always good! If the lady is working then she will pack your sushi burrito full and it definitely feels worth the price ($17, 09/2026.) the score is also because she takes good care of making sure I'm getting what I want and that I'm happy and I just like her vibe. She's great! And she gave me extra ginger which is always nice. Definitely order it if your feeling sushi!“

“This restaurant is very clean and pretty. The service was amazing and most importantly, the food was really good! We got the beaverton roll and the veggie tempura. We also split a small bottle of cake. The food came out very quickly and our water was refreshed multiple times. The prices are great! We will definitely be back!“

“First time trying & don't know what took me so long. I'm a big fan of Katsu Chicken but rarely order it especially if done with chicken breast. It's rare to find chicken breast not overly dry so avoid ordering it. They told me they use thigh meat for all their dishes so went with it. This was wonderful, cooked to perfection, & a huge amount of food. I will be eating on it for two days. The place was super clean & put the food out quickly. I can't wait to try some of their other dishes.“

The lady who served my brother and I was very kind. The portions were generous—especially for the price. After my meal, I was stuffed, satiated, and satisfied.

“So good!!!! We arrived shortly after they opened on a Saturday and there was no wait at all. Our food came out quickly, huge portions, delicious. Very traditional Japanese food. We got the karaage omu-curry and the aji fry bento. Especially loved the side of torijiru (soup) that came with the bento. Definitely one of our regular dinner spots. Highly recommend!“

“What a wonderful place. We stopped here on a whim as it was getting dark while on our trip to the coast and I'm glad we did. My chicken teriyaki was suprisingly not overly sweet, which is a pleasant suprise compared to other places. Portions are huge and very tasty. Please support this small business!“

“I have been working in Hillsboro for the last 2 weeks, hands down the best lunch I've had in 2 weeks!! I will most certainly eat there again before I stop work out there! Service was FAST, food was EXCELLENT! This little space looks small from the outside but super clean and spacious inside, definitely a date spot if you're interested! The portion was perfect, I left wanting more but knowing I was full! I do not leave a full 5star review often, It's very rare to be honest. If you read this as the owner or management please know that your staff was superb, your restaurant was gorgeous and well cleaned and I will brag about your food! Only complaint, if you could call it that was I asked if the Kung Pao was spicy and the lady at the register didn't believe it was so I got the Hot and Spicy Chicken... absolutely no complaints on that dish but I thought Kung Pao was a spicy dish, maybe I'm mistaken. “Went here for a classic roll. Requested a spicy tuna but im not sure if i just got a regular tuna roll. Not spicy. I ended up using my wasabi for heat and ran out near the end. Not a lot of wasabi to start with.

The roll was fine. Not outstanding but it was decent. If I'm back again I'll try something different.

“Astoria, Oregon local here. My girlfriend had a job interview next door so I thought I’d stop in for a snack. I ordered the sake and unagi nigiri and the Fire Viking roll. They gave me a complimentary milk tea when I didn’t order a drink. The nigiri cuts were huge and fresh compared to what I eat on the coast (we’ve got some mediocre spots). The Fire Viking was a little spicy, sweet, and savory. Crab, Tuna, Salmon and Shrimp in the same roll! When I went to write this review, I realized the restaurant was actually closed for a lunch break. They served me anyway. Yummy food, and efficient service. Thanks for the meal!“

“Tried this restaurant for the first time today at lunch. Ordered chicken teriyaki hibachi. My colleague ordered steak hibachi. They were both VERY flavorful and were served with fried rice (you can order white as well) and vegetables. The veggies were cooked perfectly.

When we asked for a to-go box, they took our food, repackaged it in plastic, wrapped it in Saran Wrap and put it in a bag for both of us. They also serve sushi if you are a sushi fan. Sushi is highly reviewed it looks like. If you are in Hillsboro and feel like hibachi or sushi - this is a must stop restaurant. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!“

“I lived in Tokyo, and have had great sushi. So has my brother who lived with me in Tokyo. He thinks Sinju sushi, omakase-style prepared by Alicio, is as good as any he's had. We ordered their standard catering package and added on salad and 20 Eggrolls total cost before tipping was about $170.00. This was enough good for about 16 people.
