“Great atmosphere and great food“

“We love this place! We eat here regularly, and truly enjoy the food, cocktails, service, and ambiance. The black cod miso yaki is our favorite dish - it's delicious and I highly recommend it. The veggie and shrimp tempura is the best I've ever had, with an interesting mix of eggplant, mushrooms, squash, lotus root, and onions - all lightly battered and served with a delightful dipping sauce (pour the dipping sauce on the black cod, it's so good). The cocktails, especially the Japanese 75 and the shiso gin drink (I can't think of the name), are well-balanced and mixed properly, and are very yummy. I tell everyone I know to try this place! Some of the food can seem adventurous if you're not familiar with Japanese fare, but it's all delicious and beautifully presented. Finally, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the owner is a very sweet and funny lady. All around, Sushi Kuni is a great dining experience and I highly recommend checking it out.“

“We went for the first time last week, when our normal teriyaki restaurant was shut for a couple weeks. Their food was excellent. Ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki and pork fried rice. It was all good, but there was a seasoning in the chicken teriyaki that I found odd. Dont know what it was, but it just didnt taste right. The restaurant itself is ok, just a normal strip mall restaurant. Nothing special but nothing bad either. Service was ok, we ordered ours to go so I cant speak to the in restaurant service.“

“I go here often & today, 8-7-24, my cashier was Rubi and the cook and her were awesome and so was the food. Good portions, fresh and very friendly. I got the chicken bento with lots of cabbage which I like. I highly recommend them. I usually go in around 10:30 - 11 to get my lunch and miss the rush hr.“

I go here for lunch breaks and the service is very fast and always friendly. I always get the teriyaki chicken bowl which is fresh and good. The Lunch price currently at $11 is the best bang for buck around here!

This location used to be a different teriyaki place which was not good. Since i assume new ownership and a name change it has increased not only in quality of ingredients used, but quality in whoever is in the back cooking the food!“

The prices are 100% worth the portions, quality, and taste of the food here. I am obsessed with their vegan options, and obsessed with the quality of the fish when I stray away from plant-based. “I go here about every 4 or 5 months with my gma and have for many years. We only get the Poke bowls as theyre her favorite. Though they were better 7 years ago, that isnt rly that big of a deal for me compared to how hard it seems to get thru a line if there is one present. I tend to find myself limiting my changes to 0 between me and my gmas bowls just to ensure a line doesnt form. The process takes significantly longer than something like subway, and the other items are overpriced. But for a small Poke bowl I guess there arent rly cheap options outside a quality belt sushi style restaurant.“
