“Pretty solid American Chinese. The lunch specials are a great deal -- pretty big portions that aren't padded by rice, as the entree items dominate the container. Minor quibble that the General Tso's sauce was lacking in spice, but it still had a good balance of sweet and savory flavor.“

“As someone who’s traveled to China multiple times to multiple cities, I can say these are authentic flavors and dishes. Must order #1, Chongqing Chicken. Yes it’s spicy, yes your mouth is getting numb, and no you are not having an allergic reaction. That’s just the real Szechuan peppercorns doing the magic they do. Must order #2 Pork Wonton in Chili Oil. Do yourself a favor and get a side of the chili oil for an extra $2. You’ll find yourself dipping everything in it because it’s that good. Last but not least, Garlic Green Beans. A staple of better Chinese restaurants, these Green Beans are crispy and swimming in butter & garlic heaven.“

“The veggie dumplings were very flavorful and freshly steamed. The included sauces complimented them very well. The red bean dessert was also nice: flaky and sweet without being overly sweet.
Service was quick and courteous. The order process is done on a screen which was straightforward, though I was still greeted at the door and provided with water and a table.
Prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. The portions weren't large but I was still full by the end of desert so perfect for lunch.“

“Holy cow, probably among the best chinese food in town. I asked them to make a General Tso Tofu even though it's technically not on the menu, and I was blown away. The flavor is super complex with fresh ginger and garlic cloves and the tofu is soft and fluffy. Definitely the best restaurant on Macadam no question.“

“Best chow fun in town. Can't get fresher noodles anywhere because they supply most of the Chinese restaurants and stores in town with their noodles. Their fried rice is really good, too. They also make their own tofu, both fresh and fried. Their rice noodle rolls are good, too. just have to get their early in the day because they sell out fast. The owners are some of the nicest people and work extremely hard. Love giving them my business.“

“Came back after eating here a few weeks ago because their jian bing (savory filled crepe roll) was so good. It comes vegetarian by default and it's super affordable, lot of food, and packed with flavor and texture.
Also tried their wonton noodles (non-veg) which were delicious and flavorful and their vegetarian / vegan dumplings were great too, however a tad too sweet for our tastes. Their pork dumplings, which is one of their staples, are better.
Regardless of dumpling flavor, the quality of how the dumplings are prepared are superior since the crease on the top is thin enough to be enjoyable and the skin is just right. They are as good as eating dumplings from San Gabriel (LA).
Everything is affordable here and high quality. It definitely feels like a local vibe here since you get your own free hot tea from the front (I love their tea) and order from qr codes on the table. They also play authentic Chinese music too on the tv, not just play bland American sports.
I only wish they had more sauces like red vinegar (for wonton) and more options for my vegetarians friends. Otherwise, still very delicious and will be back to try more dishes“

“Our go-to spot for chicken teriyaki! Something that I appreciate so much about Lee’s is their consistency. I hate when you try places and it’s good sometimes and tastes terrible the next time. Lee’s chicken teriyaki is always delicious every single time, thank you so much!“

“Delicious food, generous portions, easy parking, friendly service, easy to use online ordering, I had the Mongolian beef, wife had the Orange chicken and added instructions for fried rice and they delivered along with tasty treats on the side at no extra charge. Filled my bowl with plenty of leftover! Awesomeness 😎👌“

“great vibe and comfortable. this is as they position it: a bar that has accompanying food and not vice-versa.
you don’t go for the food. its over priced, trying to hard to be cool-ethnic….almost self conscious in its drive to be hip with small portions, as if to signals the quality. it tries to incorporate the taste elements of the culture, but the items i had fall a bit short…almost bland. good for IG eyes but it is the mouth that counts.
contrast this to lulu where the deep ethnic menu is a “hidden treasure” and treat inside a great cocktail lounge. the bar appearance gives you no hint to the great execution that hides behind the curtain. the food is great and well priced. it is about execution and is not self conscious. it works.
silk roads could do it; focus on the value and have fun with it.“

“man, the eternal dilemma: pork belly brussel sprouts or mabo tofu (with ground pork)? two amazing dishes I can NEVER get enough of.
this place is pretty dead most of the time, except for take out and delivery; the front counter is straight up jumping but the wait staff have little to do. so fabulous place to go with a large party and no reservation (except prob timbers/thorns nights).
my only qualm with this restaurant is its practice of not including white rice with an entree that needs it. it's like 2 bucks (I think) added on, and the unconventional and the weirdness of this policy bugs me. I'd love to hear the owner's rationale.
that said, portion sizes are huge, the veggies and meats fresh and never overcooked, like they are at so many Chinese restaurants, and prices are relatively inexpensive. I love the look main at their nearby competitor, Ling Garden (though the freshness of the chicken, especially, seems to have become suspect) but the quality and prices here is generally better--this is more fusion, in a good way, than it's neighbor. and don't even get me started on the other nearby competitor, August Moon. other than paying more because of tacking on right, Kung POW beats them both.
I'm not much for sweet and sour but I've gone with people who have had dishes with their cherry sauce who think that's fantastic; also, Judy's Noodles get some significant love. But for me it's all Brussels/mabo, all the time.“

“If you know, you know — Kenny’s Noodle House is the spot in Portland for Hong Kong–style comfort food 🍜🇭🇰. The Wonton Noodle Soup? Plump, juicy perfection in a broth that tastes like it’s been simmered all day 🥟🔥. BBQ Pork & Roast Duck Noodles? Smoky, tender, and downright addictive 🦆. And don’t sleep on the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup — melt-in-your-mouth beef in rich, aromatic goodness 🐂✨.
Generous portions, wallet-friendly prices, and that cozy, casual vibe that makes you want to linger. Come hungry, leave happy — and maybe a little obsessed.“

“Ling Garden isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a time capsule of amazing flavor. I first ate here back in 2003, and it instantly became a core memory for me. The food was top notch then, and it still delivers that same quality and warmth today. The portions are generous, the service is friendly without being rushed, and the atmosphere is the kind that makes you feel like you’re exactly where you’re supposed to be. After all these years, Ling Garden remains my gold standard for Chinese food. If you’re looking for a meal that will stick with you long after the last bite, this is the place.“

“First visit today. Throwback pricing, truly. I don't know how it works but they are charging what I would have expected to pay ten years ago. It was a great value. No, it isn't pretty outside. That does not matter. I can't believe somebody left a bad review based on that, while never having eaten here. It was plenty comfortable and the service was fast and friendly enough. The food was very good. We will be back.“

“Din Tai Fung never disappoints. It's my go-to place for power lunches when I need to impress colleagues, friends and family. Everything is top notch. Price point is good (not cheap). Their chocolate-filled steamed buns (signature dessert) paired with a side of salted cream is To Die For. Must make reservations or you will be disappointed.“

“What a wonderful surprise! This restaurant was recommended by a family member, and we ended up making a reservation for our group of 12 for a birthday dinner. The service was outstanding from the first phone call all the way through to our server wrapping up our leftovers for us. The food was outstanding, generous portions, fresh beautiful vegetables, wonderful flavors. I would absolutely recommend them and hope to visit again next time we’re in the area!“

“So, I ordered delivery and have never eaten here before, but I live nearby and always wondered about the food. Well let me say, you are missing out on one of the best tasting restaurants in Portland. I ordered the chow mein which was very different from usual chow mein in a very very good way! The noodles were ramen like and the flavors were crazy good. I also loved the beef skewers and had a grape slushie that was amazing! I want to now, go order one of everything on their menu for my next meal. Eat here. Go. I rarely review restaurants but I had to jump online and glow about such a great tasting meal that stood above others.“

“My wife and I order Ying Bun several times a month. We just love it everything is fresh and taste like authentic Chinese food. We have a standing order, that we order every time.
We start with:
1) two large wonton soups that has lots of big large beautiful wontons with fresh snow peas, carrots, celery, sliced chicken, barbecue pork and large shrimp too!
2) Number 5 Dinner that comes with Fried Shrimp, Pork fried rice, Sweet and Sour chicken, Subgum chicken chow mein
3) large order of crab puffs
4) large order of fried shrimp
This is our order, we love this meal. We get at least 3 meals out of our order. Always hot and fresh. We don't even mind the 20-minute wait time to make it. Just awesome to have something wonderful local because we like to go home put our pajamas on watch TV and eat all this food.“

“Casually amazing. Terrific service exceeded only by the delicious scrumptious plates, lovely presentation and comfort. Unlike many Portland restaurants, the seating is comfortable (thank you). The star of the experience is the food. And unlike too many Thai restaurants that have you fishing for the meat lost in a curry soup, the plates here will fill you up. It's not the portions are big, it's just that they are so damn satisfying and wonderful. Clean, colourful and cheerful, a terrific spot all around.“

“My adult daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite. She ordered 3 curry Bao. $10 is not bad. It was good, but I am not a curry guy.
The space is small and can seat 20 at the most.
The business seems to do mostly Uber Eats.
The decor is minimal and too much concrete for me.
The food came out very quickly“

“Pecking duck was amazing! Great sauce served with soft buns and some type of fancy onion on the side comes with a deboned half duck with crispy skin.
The Kung pao chicken had lots of veggies and chicken. I was pleasantly surprised. This was the best Kung Pao I've had in a long time.
The building is older, yet just a block away from the chinese gardens so it makes it great to go to both at once.
The server was on top of it as she always was refilling our water before we needed to ask.
I heard 2 other individuals talking about how good the Egg Fu young was there. One ordered an additional dish of just that.“

“I recently dined at Sichuan Taste, and it was an unforgettable experience—in the best way. From the moment we walked in, the fragrant spices in the air hinted at the bold flavors to come. The restaurant had a warm, bustling atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
We started with the spicy wontons in chili oil, and they were phenomenal—delicately wrapped, perfectly cooked, and swimming in a sauce that delivered heat with flavor, not just fire. The mapo tofu was a standout: silky tofu in a rich, complex sauce with that signature numbing kick from Sichuan peppercorns. It was everything I hoped for and more.
Another favorite was the dry-fried green beans—crisp, savory, and just the right amount of salty. Every dish we tried felt thoughtfully prepared, with generous portions and vibrant ingredients.
If you’re a fan of authentic, fiery Sichuan cuisine, Sichuan Taste is a must-visit. Just be ready for some serious spice! (Pro tip: order the jasmine tea—it pairs beautifully with the heat.)

“What a fantastic little gem of an Asian food truck in downtown! My husband and I ordered the teriyaki chicken and chicken yakisoba. I was floored by the amount of food you get for $10! Everything was so flavorful and delicious! Service was excellent. I was impressed that the truck was only run by one man --- and he really slayed in that kitchen! We will definitely be returning here to try more dishes soon!“

“Alrighty, so today I tried out Jin Jin for the first time ever today after getting recommended them by my boss. From what I’ve heard they have amazing fried rice and food so I had to get some. I placed 2 separate takeout orders for their spam fried rice(my new favorite) and their Lapchong Chinese sausage fried rice. They packaged both of them beautifully in reusable Tupperware containers and the final garnish and look of my food was amazing. Taste wise, it was literally the best fried rice I’ve ever had and trust me I’ve eaten a lot of fried rice everywhere through the years, it wasn’t too oily and the taste of it was absolutely perfect! I could tell it was authentically cooked in a wok and seasoned by the hands of a chef who’s been cooking for a very long time and knows what they’re doing. They’re kind and very nice people who are really friendly and took care of my order and payment fast and smoothly.
The store interior is so welcoming and family friendly lookin; it’s just a classic small and aesthetically beautiful restaurant. I highly highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for everyone to experience. 10/10 I will definitely be back for more :)“

“The food seems more authentic than most. Although most dishes are spicy, their regular level is slice is very tolerable. Nice use of Sichuan peppercorns--everything warms the mouth without setting it on fire. I've had their mapo tofu, kung pao chicken, and beef with green onions. All very good. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu.“
