“Just met the lovely owners Gagan and Kiran the other day at our local dog park. After chatting over our cute dogs they disclosed that they own this gem of an ice cream shop. I went that very night with friends after eating at Eem, it was delicious and a lovely complement to the great food we had just had. Gagan assured me I could try every flavor which I very nearly did. Settled on a split scoop of the golden milk and kaapi. Highly recommended!!!“

They’re so good - it’s like a thin, crunchy waffle-graham-cracker hybrid which literally changed my life. “Have been wanting to try this place for a few years and finally got the chance last weekend. I was feeling a little hesitant about the long line but it moved very quickly and we didn't have to wait long. I ordered the salted malted chocolate chip cookie dough and got a scoop of vegan cookies and cream for my wife. It was DELICIOUS. My wife went in a second time to get a pint for me so we could take it home. Unfortunately it melted because our hotel rooms freezer malfunctioned 😬 will definitely be back for more ice cream when I'm over in this area again.

Amazing and delicious ube shave ice with ube foam and nicely toasted coconut.
The toasted coconut made the flavor meld perfectly.

The shop is located in a covered walkway space with many other shops (ramen on one end). Across the street from Powell's.

The woman making the shave ice was also able to take orders at the doorway/ window if you didn't want to place the order online.
The online shop ordering system was quite easy, though I don't remember if there was an option to leave a tip. There is a physical tip box though.

Other folks dropping by also agreed the shave ice is oh-so-delicious.

Definitely will be back very soon.“

“I came here on September 16th around 6:30pm. As I walked in, there was a line of about 6 to 7 people. I was happy to see that they were busy, especially since it was Friday night. However, a white male in front of me got frustrated at one of the associates because they didn't have cherry vanilla ice cream. He was mentioning that he waited in a line only to find out that they don't have cherry vanilla icecream. He said to the associate, "Let's talk about what just happened here." It made me feel really bad for the associate. The other associate overheard and stepped in. Told the customer that they didn't have the flavor of icecream and that there was a line. The associate told this customer to chill out, and it was a reasonable request from my perspective. After the customer was told to chill out he mentioned, "I know the owner....". It unfortunately was a situation where the customer felt very entitled to get what he wanted and an excuse to be rude to the associates. I think the associates handled this extremely well. I'm glad they stood up for themselves. That is not treatment they deserve.“

The place is well decorated and not cheap.
Definitely enjoyed it. Ice cream was not too sweet which I loved it.
Totally should go back for the 2nd floor. Needed reservation for that.

“The ice cream sandwiches that are gluten-free are the best we've ever had and we've tried all of them! Every single one that we get here is amazing, truly, really incredible cookie and ice cream is incredible or rather frozen yogurt… However, the only thing that we don't like about this place is that sometimes you can't try the yogurt that is in the ice cream cookies because they don't have any samples. Also the main thing we don't like about this place is that the toppings are $.95 each and that makes it so we just don't get them which is kind of a bummer for the kids but overall thumbs up.“

“Awesome ice cream shop! They have some more traditional sweet, but unique ice cream flavors as well as more savory style. They are generous with their samples, which is great since savory ice cream flavors aren’t common so you can be sure you’ll like what you get before you order it. We sampled a couple flavors, then decided on a flight of salted, malted chocolate chip cookie dough, vegan hazelnut cookies & cream, strawberry honey basaltic with black pepper, and maple koginut squash with pomegranate. They also give you 1 waffle cone with the flight, which was really cool! I loved the sweet flavors, while my girlfriend loved the savory flavors. I would highly recommend stopping in and tasting some out of the box ice cream flavors!“

“Sparkling clean and friendly corner shop in NE Portland. Staff is helpful and their products are fresh and always delicious. The affogato is a must if in need of a pick me up. The espresso gelato is a must try for coffee lovers, although you can’t go wrong with any of their flavors!“

“I had the most extraordinary experience at the Portland airport on Monday night. There were not many things open. I do not usually fly Southwest, so I was not familiar with the concessions in this part of the airport. I thought I might just grab some cheese and then get some kind of healthy bowl somewhere. I stopped at the Tillamook booth and was overwhelmed by the quality of the service. Yes, the food was tasty. The service was exemplary. I would have never purchased my meal here, if it weren’t for the incredible connection, Joseph, the server, made with me. He was warm, knowledgeable, and really enticed me to eat the food here. He seemed to love it, so I believed him. I ate at the little table next to the booth and he checked in on me from time to time and even brought me some green tea later on! This truly was the most remarkable experience I had ever spent at an airport kiosk. I fly every week. Joseph, and the quality he bestowed upon me, is a new benchmark for service at any airport in America. Congratulations Tillamook for hiring such a capable person who not only believes in your product, but believes in serving each customer with dignity and elegance. I couldn’t help but watch how he treated the people after me. All were treated the same. He even helped people after he closed. What a treasure. Thank you, thank you.“

“We came in to order an ice cream cake with dietary restrictions. It was a busy Friday night. The staff never once made me feel rushed or hurried with my decision making. She even confirmed with the other gal to make sure all dietary needs were met. In my opinion they went above and beyond to make it work. We can’t wait to try our cake. We will also be returning for ice cream nights since they had options for all. Edit: We tried our cake! It was so good. Most of the family didn’t even know it was dairy free. “There were three people working tonight. Reese, Jonah and a third person with red hair that I did not get the name of. He was working diligently to close the place for the night as I got there 6 minutes before close. Reese was genuine and friendly while sweeping the lobby floor. She was happy to hold a conversation with me while staying on task which I appreciated! Jonah made my custom beverage and due to a misunderstanding I asked for my order to be remade. Without hesitation he agreed and after clarification I was presented with a thoughtfully prepared, delicious blend of ice cream and coffee. I apologized for the late order and thanked the closing team again. The 3 of them seemed to know their jobs and were seasoned employees. “As someone who isn’t classically a huge match fan I wasn’t sure what to expect from this place. We came in on a Thursday evening and luckily it was not super busy but I’m told it can fill in quickly and often has a line.

I wound up going for their seasonal cone flavor which was peach and was quite refreshing and tasty. They have a wide assortment of menu options and types of match dessert to choose from. They use a buzzer system and have seating in the back to accommodate maybe 6-8 groups.

The atmosphere is well lit and clean. Definitely appears to attract a bit of a younger crowd.“

“I had a event I was organizing and reached out to Ice Cream Express WA. I rented one of their carts. I can not say enough about my experience. They were fast on communication, they offer a wide variety of ice cream. The cart is super cute and better then I expected. They dropped off on time and picked it up after the event. Everyone loved the ice cream and thought the cart was fabulous. All day I was asked where I got it. Thank you so much Ice Cream Express. I will reach out again for further events.“
