“My biggest criticism is the lack of cleanliness in themed restaurants these days. You put so much effort into decor, and a yearly cleaning would not be too much of a sacrifice for decorum. Bartender was too busy to tend to the tables. Gave a good tip, but while I understand I was underwhelmed.“

The lady who owns the place and always seems to take care of us and is always very friendly. As for the beers and ciders they are the best we’ve had. Loved the ciders before they filtered them but still taste just as good but without the “look”.😉 A true gem that you must try next time you are in the quaint little town of West Linn. The service was good, it was quick until they got busy. Two bartenders for the whole place didn't seem like enough. They could probably use a server/runner. In the end, we sat at the bar with two empty glasses, waiting for service for about 15 minutes before we could wave someone down.

“Love this brewery! Staff are friendly, the beer is absolutely top notch, place is small but cozy and inviting! Generally have some excellent shanties playing and a dart board in the corner...taste of Irish, anyone?! Brewer does a phenomenal scotch ale, and the Meanderin' Mandarin Pale Ale is delicious. The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.“

Their bred and butter option always has some random compound butter --it was uncooked tumeric and ginger when we were there---which was inedible. When we asked for just basic butter, they didn't have it! Don't know how its possible to mess up bread and butter but they managed to do it. The other entrees are a bit on the oily side“

“Stopped in for dinner and were initially confused by the menu, but quickly figured it out. The service was friendly and she and the kitchen did a great job considering it seemed there was a large group ahead of us. The cheese smash burger was, well, very cheesy, but super delicious. I broke up the richness a bit by putting on some lettuce and pickled onion from the salad on it. The French fries were shoestring-style and so crispy and crunchy. We liked the seasoning salt on them as well. We also got Mac and cheese—divine! And the poppers, which were eaten so quickly I didn’t get to try any so they must have also been great. Plenty of seating inside with AC or outside with a beautiful patio with plenty of shade and space for four-leggers.“

“The food in every McMenamins location is pretty consistently very good but not great. That being said, if you're in the mood for a burger, I have yet to find burgers in Portland that are significantly better than the these ones. Notably, at this particular location, every time I've been, the service has been excellent. The waiters who are cordial, kind and attentive without being too pushy about anything or to get you out the door. That in addition to that cozy atmosphere with good heating, music and decorations makes it a great place to chill if you need a bite to eat and an hour or two to relax without being bothered.“

“In comparison to other McMenamins locations, this one is pretty mundane. It’s located in a strip mall. It offers inside and outside seating. The layout reminds me of an Applebees but with McMenamins decorations. The food and drinks are of course McMenamins. Our server was great and made the experience great. It was strange too but be in a McMenamins restaurant that doesn’t scream historical history.“

“Hey, there aren't many places you can smoke cigars at in Washington County. So they get 5 stars just for creating a great place for that. Nice picnic tables, good brews, decent food, good service, fire pits, covered areas. It's a good place to hang out. It's all in shade so bring a jacket unless it's in the summer.“

“This business was originally called the Wilson-Chambers Mortuary. It was built in 1932 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. This is a cool looking historical building and a must see. The bartender was very nice and told me some of the history of the building. Be sure to check out the food.“
