“My biggest criticism is the lack of cleanliness in themed restaurants these days. You put so much effort into decor, and a yearly cleaning would not be too much of a sacrifice for decorum. Bartender was too busy to tend to the tables. Gave a good tip, but while I understand I was underwhelmed.“

Having the big screen available for our draft board took the whole experience to another level. Everyone in our league agreed this was one of the best draft nights we’ve ever had, and the venue was a big reason why. If you’re looking for a fun, relaxed place to host an event, hang out with friends, or just enjoy some drinks, I can’t recommend WACH enough. We’ll definitely be back next year!“

The service was good, it was quick until they got busy. Two bartenders for the whole place didn't seem like enough. They could probably use a server/runner. In the end, we sat at the bar with two empty glasses, waiting for service for about 15 minutes before we could wave someone down.

Generally have some excellent shanties playing and a dart board in the corner...taste of Irish, anyone?! Brewer does a phenomenal scotch ale, and the Meanderin' Mandarin Pale Ale is delicious. Atmosphere is great, the vibe is in tune with the area and the age of the building…complete with a wood burning stove in the center of the room.
The Hummus plate was nice but overpowering. It is served with both raw and pickled veggies. Combined with the garlic laced Tzatziki sauce it is a bit much.
Definitely Portland…where everything has its own spin.“

The layout reminds me of an Applebees but with McMenamins decorations. The food and drinks are of course McMenamins. Our server was great and made the experience great. It was strange too but be in a McMenamins restaurant that doesn’t scream historical history.“

The service was friendly and she and the kitchen did a great job considering it seemed there was a large group ahead of us. The cheese smash burger was, well, very cheesy, but super delicious. I broke up the richness a bit by putting on some lettuce and pickled onion from the salad on it. The French fries were shoestring-style and so crispy and crunchy. We liked the seasoning salt on them as well. We also got Mac and cheese—divine! And the poppers, which were eaten so quickly I didn’t get to try any so they must have also been great. Plenty of seating inside with AC or outside with a beautiful patio with plenty of shade and space for four-leggers.“

“I came into this location today while I was having a panick attack and feeling unwell due to the heat, and the 2 gentleman that were working (I didn’t catch there names) were so kind, they let me and my friend sit in a private room where a fan was to cool off. I wanted to thank them for their kindness!! Thank you.“

“The food in every McMenamins location is pretty consistently very good but not great. That being said, if you're in the mood for a burger, I have yet to find burgers in Portland that are significantly better than the these ones. Notably, at this particular location, every time I've been, the service has been excellent. The waiters who are cordial, kind and attentive without being too pushy about anything or to get you out the door. That in addition to that cozy atmosphere with good heating, music and decorations makes it a great place to chill if you need a bite to eat and an hour or two to relax without being bothered.“
