“This was some of the best sushi we’ve ever had. We sat at the bar and got to watch the chef make each piece, which he then described to us at each step through the tasting menu. We went early and it was a very quiet setting. We’ll definitely go back for another special occasion!“

Toro Party and Nigiri are so fresh. I love the thick cut they do on the sashimi. I Would definitely recommend and come back.“

“I happened to end up here for lunch when I was having a particularly bad day. Thanks to the super sweet gal behind the counter and delicious meal, this place really cheered me up! I love the wide array of options and all the fish and veggies I got tasted so good and fresh. The complimentary miso soup was much appreciated as well! The only thing I think could be better is the rice - the white rice I got was pretty dry. A well seasoned sticky sushi rice would make this already great meal perfect.

their menu is EXTENSIVE & I love it!! so many options to choose from. they have a whole sushi menu, bentos, ramen, & a whole bunch of appetizers and entrees that are hard to find elsewhere! also make sure to look at their specials posted near the sushi bar!

PARKING : strip mall has a big parking lot, lots of spaces.
SEATING : not a ton of seats, but haven’t had trouble getting a table on a weekday. may need to make a reservation on the weekend.
SERVICE : super sweet staff!
AMBIANCE : the restaurant reminds me of small japanese restaurants in hawaii. super nostalgic & cozy!“

“This was my first here. I've been to many sushi spots in Oregon. I should have given this wonderful, friendly and delicious place alot sooner.
The staff is amazing! Very kind and attentive. The conveyor belt is full of fresh delicious sushi, sashimi, dessert and fruit.
Everything was fresh and delicious. We will be back.
Thank you for a wonderful dinner.

“I would love to give this place five stars. They're are often not open during their scheduled business hours. I've been here multiple times in the last few weeks at 12:00, which is when they say they open yet they are closed. I'm sitting here right now at 12:15 and their food truck is closed.“

“Delicious, fresh sushi!! If I’m ever in the area again I will go back!! Atmosphere feels very authentic to the culture! Fabulous service! Easy-to-order form to get what you want. It is quick. Staff is kind and attentive. The waitress was making sure everyone was comfortable and had what they needed.
I ordered the California roll, crunch munch and the lion king! All were fantastic with fabulous flavor!

“I was craving some sushi and bomba and thankfully this is right across the street from my place. The sushi was extremely fresh and delicious. The mango boba I got was so good! It is sometimes hard to find good, fresh boba. The real star of the show was the spam masubi. The spam was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Wasabi and ginger were generous. Only 1 soy sauce packet.

The rolls had a hint of sweet, and were creamy. They were decent rolls for $13.

I couldn't decide what I wanted to try first, so I ordered a half order of the Glazed and Confused, half order of the Mother of Dragons and an order of the Starry Inari. SO SO good! “This place I would highly recommend. The serves here was very good and nice even though it took me forover for some people in my party to choose what they wanted. They also have good atmosphere and the tables are clean and doesn't take that much time to wait (5-10 minutes for my party). The food was also very good and I hope you guys are able to come her with a party and have a good time as well a I did when I came.

“Anyone can seemingly make sushi seem better by making it more complex, but the real test is whether they can take the simple and make it excellent. Sushi-Ki-ichi does just that. They stick to the simple offerings, leading to an experience that feels less Americanized than other Japanese restaurants. That's not to say I don't love some level of creativity, but you don't need it here. That's because the family that owns Sushi Ki-ichi wants to create an authentic meal - a notion that was confirmed for sure when we had a conversation with the owner. In fact, they take quality to the next level with their equipment and efforts they take to make sure that what they serve is the highest quality, including specific freezers for the fish. We didn't try Sushi Ki-ichi for the first couple of years because we figured that the previous restaurant, a Chinese buffet that had gone downhill and fallen off the cliff, had rebranded and reopened as something new. Now I feel that for those first couple of years, we missed out. This has quickly become my favorite place in Portland. I look forward to any trips I take across town from Vancouver to Tigard, and make a point to stop in and grab a bite.“
