“We had had the opportunity to enjoy a bottle of Willakenzie that we found in Omaha, Nebraska. We thoroughly enjoyed it, so we decided to go to the Vineyard. The wines that are available from the vineyard are even more exceptional than the one that is distributed in Omaha. (Probably not a surprise 😆) We absolutely loved our experience! The tasting room is very beautiful, but we understand they are going to renovate it and add more food service. So we’ll have to come back and check that out! We were excited to buy wines and ship them home.“

“We had an amazing Easter Egg Hunt with a Bunny & Unicorn Pony. What a great experience for adults & kiddos. Lots of activities, S'mores & Ice Cream. This Vineyard has the most beautiful ponds, one with KOI the other with Lilies & frogs. There is beautiful Art through out the grounds & inside.
The Staff are very knowledgeable about their wines & attentive to everything you might need. Thank You, Veronika & Angela for a memorable Easter.“

Hood if you happen to visit when there's no overcast - but either way, that shouldn't deter you from experiencing this top-notch winery. Highly recommend!“

“My husband and I absolutely loved our experience at Lemelson. We went on a quiet morning and had the best time. The wine was top notch- everything from rose, chardonnay, and of course, all the Pinots. The customer service was excellent- Delaney was amazing!!! “We picked Elk Cove as a winery to stop at on our way to the coast for our honeymoon and are so glad we did. We had a great time here from start to finish. We did a tasting of pinot noirs with Gloria who gave us an awesome experience and a wealth of information about the winery and what we were tasting. We really enjoyed the Pinot Noir Reserve and ended up buying a bottle to take with us. The patio and view overlooking the vineyard just can’t be beat. There is also a fairly large indoor space with ample seating if the weather isn’t cooperating. Note that they appeared to be doing some renovations outside but this in no way affected the experience, view, etc. If you’re looking for a great wine experience in the valley, look no further!“

“We're locals from Hillsboro and every few years we use our September anniversary as an excuse to get away from the kids and drink wine in Yamhill county. Every trip is to a different BnB and each day is spent discovering new vineyards.

This most recent trip we were keen on good wine with a view, and got no less than four separate recommendations to visit Penner-Ash. We swung by on a Saturday afternoon as walk-ins but were told they had no availability for tastings. We were offered bottle service but decided to make a reservation for Sunday morning to try again, and boy are we glad we did!

The view from the patio is absolutely amazing! The sommelier was charming and delightful! I'm a sucker for any opportunity to learn and she was an absolute treasure trove of knowledge about wine making, which meshed very well with the structure of our tasting: 3 wines, exactly identical but with different soil? Wow, I have been to dozens of these at other vineyards and never learned as much as I did here.

We will definitely make a point of returning, thanks again for such a wonderful morning!“

We purchased a food to accompany our wine making the experience quite delightfully delicious. My 6 bottles of Pinot Noir arrived in Vista, Ca in excellent shape last week after a long and hot summer. “Went to the recent event at the winery, it was great! Good wine, and the staff was marvelous as always. The food was good, enjoyed it. But it was-is not appropriate for wine tasting. I do not understand the current trend of wineries inviting mexican food carts to wine tasting events. The food style tends to mess up ones palete. Beer or soda go great with Mexican food. Or possibly a huge red, but not the refined Pinot Noir and whites of the Willamette Valley.“

“Stopped here on a trip to Oregon. They weren’t able to accomodate us for a tasting ($30 apiece) so we bought a bottle of the chilled Pinot Noir and warm bread with olive oil. Lovely grounds with a beautiful view! Walk to the gift shop and taste all the delicious olive oils and balsamic vinegars for free!“

“Cute spot with gorgeous views. Easy to book online with good hours. Has a very farmy feel. Our pourer was very friendly and has a long knowledge of the area. Sat outside, unsure if there’s indoor seating so come prepared. They have an awesome option for traveling with wine or just great for outdoors: a giant pouch, kinda like an adult capri sun with pour spout. If you’re looking for a place that feels like homey on the porch of a farm then this is the place! You could plan a whole day hopping to adjacent wineries easily.“

“We had a reservation for a tasting and tour for 5 people at Laurel Ridge for my mother-in-law's 50th birthday. We were promptly greeted by Lucas, the wine maker for Laurel Ridge, who not only created and served amazing wine but did so with a welcoming and joyous ambiance. The tour was nothing short of amazing, demonstrating the importance of Lucas and his family members' roles. Lucas shared the history of Laurel Ridge, highlighting his father-in-law, mother-in-law and his wife, and how they established in Carlton and Bend. As someone who typically does not choose to drink red wine, I will continue to recommend Laurel Ridge Pinot noir moving forward. If you are looking for a welcoming environment to enjoy wine that is incredible, we highly recommend Laurel Ridge. To add to the experience, Jax the vineyard doggy hangs out on the property and makes the experience that much more exciting.“

“Cellar Door Wine Tours took us to Tendril Wine Cellars first on our 3-winery tour and warned us we'd like it best. We truly did. Each wine was delicious. I'm an Oregon pinot noir fan and they make great ones, but also loved their white pinot noir and rose. Tasting manager Andrew was delightful and kept us both informed and laughing! The tasting room is very small, but they also have outside picnic tables for warmer months. Make an appointment and enjoy! I signed up for the wine club as I enjoyed every sip.“

“Stopped by for an impromptu date with my hubby - enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and conversation! Empty when we arrived, but several regulars popped in while we were there. You can tell this is a well-loved local place! Including the latest menu of items on tap along with the food menu from a nearby restaurant that’s provided.“

“Great beers and chill vibes abound at this surprising brewery nestled amongst the vineyards. During our first visit, Paige and Michelle hosted an experience so welcoming we felt right at home. Beers range from notes of light crisp summer citrus to hearty malts that will warm your soul. The tap list has a broad range without being overwhelming or repetitive.

“Dane is a friendly and knowledgeable wine host! We enjoyed his enthusiasm for Pike Road wines and he just knows wine!! We really enjoyed their Pinot Gris. Perfect for summer dining. The wines at Pike Road are all offered at a reasonable price and even more so when you join their club. We did!“

“Wine was very good. I think what set them apart was their Rose, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were all worth purchasing, and we did. Seems rare for a winery to excel across multiple categories.

My only complaint is the tasting fee is expensive given you need to purchase $70 or $75 worth of product to waive just one tasting. For $35 you’re better off ordering 3-4 glasses at table for your party. The tasting pours are tiny…an ounce or less. Truly, just a taste. Go to catch the view and enjoy a glass of wine…they’re all delicious and worth the price. Don’t waste money on the tasting.“

“I was a club member years ago when Dave and Mary opened this vineyard. I went back yesterday under the new ownership, Cooper Mountain, and it is still lovely with great tasting wines. I don’t like tannic reds or oaky Charonneys where as my boyfriend does. We both found wines we both enjoyed and some we each liked more than each other. Arborbrook continues with a very wide range of flavors!! They also are all organic and biodynamic, I highly recommend !“

“Incredible experience. Had the place to ourselves on a Thursday afternoon. Ray the manager of Craft guided us through the tasting and even gave us some extra wines to try as well. He was charming and gregarious and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If your in North Willamette you need to go to Craft, a definite must stop in Carlton“

“Ken Wright in Carlton, Oregon is a beautiful place for a delicious Pinot tasting. The tasting room is fabulous and the outside patio even better. Great wines, great staff ( I wish I had written down the gal’s name that hosted us) as she was knowledgeable, understood our palate and offered additional wines she thought we would like plus she was so fun. She also showed us the 1/2 Bottles we purchased for our at home wine tasting that evening. And of course we purchased other bottles. I recommend booking or stopping in Ken Wright Cellers.“

“Sokol Blosser has a great story, beautiful view, and good wine. We ended up ordering a Butcher Board, and it was quite substantial. Every item on the board was delicious. The tasting is 4 wines, plus you get an extra pour upon arrival. Our experience was enjoyable, and we will return. It is right off 99W, so easy to find. If it's Friday or Saturday, wear your patience hat when leaving. Take your time getting on to 99W.“

“Two dogs is a great addition to downtown McMinville. It has a rich selection of foods from salads, hot sandwiches, sliders, and burgers. It is on the pricey end, but I equate it to a more affordable option than a pelican pub. It has a very impressive selection of locally brewed taps throughout Oregon, that are very very good, selections of beer, hard seltzers and ciders that are sure to impress the palate. A criticism I have is that the burgers tend to be on the greasy side, they are rich in flavor, but all the burgers come with two 1/4 pound Pattie’s, which I would suggest to only have one patty with the option to add an addition for more money. I would recommend this place to more people if they made that change and made there prices reflect that change. The burgers are over the top in grease.“

“I had my first visit just this last week and I was really happy to see what a great, healthy and delicious menu it has! 100% rating on all flavors! Chicken kebab, Moroccan mint tea, Mezza sampler and the chicory salad all have high quality ingredients. The value of that for me is why I can enjoy dining out these days. Not just a menu of burgers and fries or tacos that are easy to make at home. I will keep Cypress on my top list of local restaurants worth returning too! “Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.“

“Absolutely perfect tasting experience with our host Victoria. I have lived in the California wine country for much of my life and have experienced hundreds of wine tastings. Victoria may in fact have been the best host ( sommelier?) I have experienced. She assessed our interest and customized our wine experience accordingly. She has a deep deep
knowledge and love for the wine which she shares in a professional manner. The wine property is absolutely beautiful, the wines are very good and all in all our afternoon tasting there was just perfect.“

“Must start with full disclosure--my wife, Sunshine and I have never been there--BUT, having just completed an AMA waterways wine cruise in France we met wonderful people from Stoller, including Gary Mortensen who presented wine tasting of their excellent wines and enthusiastic, humorous lectures. We sampled many great French wines on this cruise, but none topped the Stoller chardonnays we tasted. The Stoller Family Estate is definitely on our "bucket list". We also met Bill Stoller's lovely sister, Nancy. We tasted a wine Bill named after her and it was to die for! Thanks Stoller for sending your lively group on our cruise. “I had the cowboy philly, it was so good, I couldn't stop feeling about it the whole time, lots of meat, lots of cheese, lots of peppers and with the Cajun fries and coleslaw..???it was so good I actually drooled into my lap. Brooke was very tentative and quick, Josie and Blaine were on the team as well. The kitchen staff really killed it with our food! Can't wait to tell all my friends to come here!“

Nearby activities: This hotel on the Main Street near lots of interesting stores; art supply, pets, restaurants, wine tasting places, etc.

Noteworthy details: We walked two blocks down the street to the 1882 Restaurant and Grill and had a wonderful dinner there. McMenhamin's Hotel and 1882 Restaurant are pet friendly!“

“50's diner type style. Ate the 1/4 burger minus sweet relish. crinkle fries and their fry sauce. Tasted home-made, so full didn't have room for the ice cream they make onsight. We will go again, friendly staff. You can tell locals go here, popular place.“

“Went in as out of towners for a girls trip. We went initially to go to the roof top bar but it was already closed so we enjoyed a cocktail at the main bar. Rachel was our bartender and she was excellent. She took time to make this delicious cucumber margarita cocktail for my friend that had a lot of components and you could certainly taste the love! I would definitely recommend that drink and made by Rachel. Don’t complain about the time it takes to make it because it’s worth it and she is a true mixologist! Thank you Rachel!“

“Great quick stop right off of the freeway. Easy in and out with all recognizable items you would expect from Starbucks. It was a welcome sight to see while driving on the freeway on our way to an early morning softball tournament. We will know it’s there the next time we are traveling on I-5.
