“The Venue

From the moment you arrive, the panoramic views of the Willamette Valley take your breath away. Perched high in the Dundee Hills, the tasting room offers a sophisticated, rustic atmosphere that remains warm and inviting. The windows are seemingly endless so the interior is never lacking in views. Nevertheless, there is a very pleasant terrace should you want to be outside.

The Wines

The quality here is undeniable. Knudsen is legendary for their Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and the tasting flight beautifully showcases their commitment to elegance and terroir. Each pour was balanced, expressive, and truly reflective of the high-elevation site. Jeff did an amazing job explaining the wines and showing us exactly where they came from.

We were impressed by the majority of the wines we sampled. As is always the case - everyone’s palate is different, but if you don’t find something to suit you here, you probably won’t find it anywhere else.“

Joseph was amazing very uplifting and vibrant personality took me through a flight of wines. I amc not a fan of SB but its every where in Australia and New Zealand. I do not understand the current trend of wineries inviting mexican food carts to wine tasting events. The food style tends to mess up ones palete. Beer or soda go great with Mexican food. Or possibly a huge red, but not the refined Pinot Noir and whites of the Willamette Valley.“

She really knew the wines and how they were grown and did a wonderful job of explaining everything. We ended up leaving the tasting room with more wines to take home than we expected. “Cellar Door Wine Tours took us to Tendril Wine Cellars first on our 3-winery tour and warned us we'd like it best. We truly did. Each wine was delicious. I'm an Oregon pinot noir fan and they make great ones, but also loved their white pinot noir and rose. Tasting manager Andrew was delightful and kept us both informed and laughing! The tasting room is very small, but they also have outside picnic tables for warmer months. Make an appointment and enjoy! I signed up for the wine club as I enjoyed every sip.“

“This place was absolutely wonderful! The vibes were amazing from the moment we arrived. As someone who’s sober, I really appreciated that they offered a delicious non-alcoholic blueberry lemon spritzer and it was so refreshing!

The live music created the perfect atmosphere, and the R & R food truck did not disappoint. I had the Impossible Smash Burger, and I’ll definitely be ordering that again.

There are plenty of games to keep both kids and grown-up kids entertained, plus the views are absolutely gorgeous. The bathrooms were clean, parking was easy, and the scenic drive out was worth every minute.

“My mom came from out of town to celebrate her birthday, and we decided to visit Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farms as walk-ins. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and genuinely treated with kindness and respect. It was such a refreshing experience!

The wine was absolutely delicious, and the food options were amazing. There was so much to enjoy beyond just the tasting room, including beautiful trails surrounding the property and plenty to explore and experience. It made the entire visit feel like more than just a wine tasting, it was a full experience.

What really stood out to me was how welcoming the staff was. As walk-ins, we never felt like an inconvenience. We felt valued, appreciated, and taken care of throughout our visit. That made such a difference, especially because we were celebrating a special occasion with my mom.

I truly highly recommend Durant Vineyards at Red Ridge Farms. The beautiful property, delicious wine, amazing food options, friendly service, and overall atmosphere made this an incredible experience. We had such a wonderful time and left feeling so welcomed. “We really enjoyed our time at Archery Summit. We had a group of about 10 people including an infant. The staff was very helpful when we had a last minute change of guest count. The tasting was delicious along with the snacks and bites we had. “We recently visited Ken Wright Cellars for a wine tasting and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. Our host, Sidney, struck the perfect balance between education and hospitality. She spent just the right amount of time with us, providing excellent insight into the winemaking process while also allowing us plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Our favorite wine of the tasting was the Willamette Valley Chardonnay, which was absolutely outstanding. We also ordered a charcuterie board that complemented the wines beautifully, with a well-balanced selection of cheeses, crackers, nuts, and olives.

Chicken kebab, Moroccan mint tea, Mezza sampler and the chicory salad all have high quality ingredients. The value of that for me is why I can enjoy dining out these days. “Berts chuckwagon is some of the better barbecue we have around here. Trouble is in the northwest we just don’t have a lot of barbecue. I feel like the sides are what really shine. His ribs are good. They do it smoked style but they are pretty tough and dry and that’s what happens when you smoke ribs. Mine are like 10 times better in the oven and so juicy they fall off the bone. He’s a nice guy and the prices are moderate for what they offer portions are pretty generous. I’ve eaten here multiple times when I didn’t feel like cooking. Will probably come back again. But I do prefer to make my own barbecue over berts.“

“Such a fantastic experience at Domaine Drouhin! We did the Oregon vs. France tasting but asked if we could taste everything blind, and Connor happily obliged. It turned the tasting into such a fun experiment—trying to identify what makes Oregon Pinot distinctly Oregon while comparing it directly with Burgundy.

Connor was wonderful and made the whole experience engaging, educational, and genuinely fun. The wines were delicious, and it was also a great opportunity to learn more about Burgundy while tasting the two regions side by side.

“Must start with full disclosure--my wife, Sunshine and I have never been there--BUT, having just completed an AMA waterways wine cruise in France we met wonderful people from Stoller, including Gary Mortensen who presented wine tasting of their excellent wines and enthusiastic, humorous lectures. We sampled many great French wines on this cruise, but none topped the Stoller chardonnays we tasted. The Stoller Family Estate is definitely on our "bucket list". We also met Bill Stoller's lovely sister, Nancy. We tasted a wine Bill named after her and it was to die for! Thanks Stoller for sending your lively group on our cruise.
