“This is a special place. Liege waffles are very different than anything I've ever had. They are made from a yeast dough, with caramelized brown sugar inside, smallish, and served warm in a napkin so that you can take it with you while window shopping. Please note: these are not meant to be served with ice cream on top. The ice cream and waffles are both very good by themselves. The owner only serves them together because people ask for that, but I think they ask for it because they think that's how it's meant to be served. (At least, that's what we thought!)“

They also have a good selection of toppings, especially different fruits, but I do wish they add more popping boba flavors in the future.

“Grew up getting snow cones here with my family. Revisiting it after 20 years and its still as good as i remember from my childhood. They bring in the large blocks of ice and shave the ice on the spot, very old school and nostalgic. Worth a stop for a sweet treat if you are in the area!“

We decided to come in the Lucky Duck, because it’s summer so why not have ice cream before noon . “It is rated one of Pittsburgh's top ice creameries. I must concur. They have a very large selection of goodies to choose from. It is in a good location but it is a little hard to get in and out of. So be careful. Ice cream with cookies was excellent. I got the raspberry syrup with cheesecake. It was way too sweet for me. But the amount you get is great. It was well worth the price. I was a little bummed. They do not have picnic tables. All in all, it was a great place to go for a dessert. 🙂“

Even though we were the only customers I felt rushed. It was my first time there and they do have alot of goodies. I can't wait to go back!“

The staff was very kind and gave us great recommendations including a couple of samples and we made great decisions. 5 out of 5 wood ice cream again.“

I absolutely love that you can custom your “level” of matcha.
I got a level 2 - iced banana pudding matcha
It was so good! Perfect flavor of matcha to sweetener ratio!
We also got a level 2 iced strawberry oat matcha!
The fresh strawberry puree was wonderful!
Both were so good, I don’t think I could pick a favorite! Definitely looking forward to going back!“

“This Bruster's is far better than any other ice cream shop in the area. It was "Every Given Sunday" but after Covid, they closed permanently. This place has excellent mango sorbet and Chocolate ice cream shakes and pint size. Friendly. Helpful and the ice cream tops every place I've been too. Cool Cones is awful and can't compare!“
