“Our u12 mnsa storm team had our Welsh cup luncheon there in 2023. The manager was awesome setting up a section for us and getting all 12 pizzas out on time so we could eat and get back to the tournament. He also was able to get us a gluten-free pie for a few that needed it really fast. Prices were great, the food was awesome, and his service was phenomenal. Totally recommend.“

“Food was good, not great. There was no bread or salad offered. Additionally, my chicken parm did not come with a side of pasta, which is fine, but I didn’t know that and I wasn’t even asked if I’d like to add it for an additional fee. I feel like that should have been communicated a little more clearly.“

“The service was phenomenal. The food, delicious. Best italian restaurant in Philly, the closest thing I've seen so far to an authentic italian restaurant in Philly (I stayed in Italy for 6 weeks). We got the tiramisu and gelato, and we got the carbonara and pappardelle al ragù. All of it was just so good. I wanna come back again, but I need to save up for it because it was very pricey. But worth it.“

“This restaurant is located on East Passyunk in South Philly. I love the ambiance and service was great. Meat and veggie platter was delicious. The platter also came with pizza dough which was surprisingly really good. I am also currently obsessed with their gnocchi, it has the perfect texture and the sauce was amazing. Will definitely come back!“

“Dined in tonight with my family and Rylee served us, she was very quick and efficient! She recommended the rigatoni abruzzi and her signature green tea match martini, which were both phenomenal! Highly recommend coming here and asking for Rylee!“

“Excellent meal. The artichoke starter -a special the night we were there - was fabulous. Waiter very pleasant and accommodating. I am on a low salt diet and they were very helpful with menu recommendations. It is nice to see the chef and watch him work.“

“My girlfriend and I decided to come in for happy hour and I’m so happy we did! The food and cocktails were delicious but we were really blown away by the service. Our server, KB, was incredible. She was on top of everything, knowledgeable, personable, and gave great recommendations. We can’t wait to come back!“

“An exceptional dinning experience, but getting in is a bit tricky. The restaurant opens advanced online bookings in intervals of two week blocks, on the Sunday prior. There are two seatings each night, 6:30pm and 8:30pm. If you can’t get a reservation for the released block time, you can request to be added to the wait list. That’s exactly how I received my dinning spot. The experience is intimate, warm and friendly. It truly is like being invited to a friend’s house for dinner, except your friend won’t be serving you these yummy dishes. The food creations are amazing and the courses numerous. The chef announces each dish before it’s served, explaining the ingredients and inspiration. They also provide an extensive wine list and delicious craft cocktails. Highly recommend!“

“Decided to go there because it was in Adrian's in Rocky. The experience was beyond any of our expectations. The food and drinks were amazing, steak was fantastic, cocktails were excellent and dessert was great too. By far the absolute best part of this place is the staff. The opera singing was out of this world. This place is an absolute gem“

“Cozy restaurant with a lot of energy. Hold off on eating the complementary bread because you'll need it for the outstanding mussel appetizer. Another must order is the orecchiette. One of the best pastas I've had in Philadelphia. The lamb shank was just ok. Unfortunately I just recently had it at another Philly restaurant and it was so much better. Barramundi which was a special was a huge disappointment. I've never seen so many things added to a fish dish to overwhelm what I consider to be an amazing fish. This is my second time at this restaurant where the entrees feel short. Stick to the appetizers and pastas. Service was outstanding.“

“The service was excellent. The food was also good, we enjoyed the tasting menu which had some surprising dishes such as the carrot & egg custard. The bread and nduja was also a nice addition. However, we spent over $800 between the two of us with tips included (with the tasting menu priced at $215) which I think is way too overpriced. The wines especially are overpriced, for 150pp I would expect more upscale wines than what was on offered. We ended up going with a Barolo instead which was more reasonable but still $170 for a bottle. For these prices, I would expect Michelin 1 or 2 star quality food, which it wasn't (as nice as our meal was). That said, the service was really good with our waiter being extremely attentive and considerate.“

“10/10 this place exceeded my expectations! If I could, I'd dine here every single week. Old school Italian restaurant situated in a neighborhood. Nice bar with plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs. Old antiques and upscale attire. Came here to celebrate my birthday and I would come back for any special occasion. Our waitress was so knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and amazing at her job. All of her recommendations were on point. For drinks, we ordered the manhattan and dirty martini (stuffed and non stuffed olives). Made to perfection! The pesto that came with our basket of bread was out of this world. It was so good, they packed extra pesto for us to take home. It was seriously good with just about anything. Secret is pistachio rather than pine nuts! For food, we ordered the calamari and peas, filet truffle (special), veal Parmesan (special) and the carrot cake. The only thing we would not order again would be the calamari and peas. Wasn't terrible but it was drenched in marinara, which made me want fried calamari. If I'm eating sautéed calamari, I'd prefer more of a lighter sauce. Personal preference. Our entrees were both out of this world. Highly recommend!!“

“The space is small. Very small. A dozen or so stools along the bar and 4 or 5 other 2 tops along the wall. They also have a few outside seats.Drinks were good, unique and flavorful without “shock factor”Everything was cooked perfectly. Firm but great texture. My wife and I split each item and were both full at the end. Serving size of these classics were generous.ESCARGOT ARANCINI. Two golden round balls of love. Perfect crispness on the outside and smooth savory center. The saltiness of the sauce really brings it together. One of the best Arancini I’ve had.RIGATONI - forella sausage raguSpicy (but not in your face) and savory. Great texture and smoothness to the sauce.TONNARELLI -cacio e pepeReally good. The pepper is flavorful without being intense. The focaccia is a must to sop up all the extra sauce!“

“Had “The Paesano” from Paesano’s in Philly yesterday. This is in the Italian market area of South Philly which I love (aside from finding parking) and the people who worked here were all super friendly and helpful.I posted a picture with the ingredients for this one. This had a flavor that I’ve maybe never tasted before all wrapped in one. I enjoyed how it all played off each other (I could eat pepperoncini on anything and be happy too) and the roll was wonderful.Unfortunately I will say that the brisket was a bit tough, which surprised me. I believe it was cut on the wrong angle but there were multiple bites where I really had to tear at it. Had this brisket been as tender as it should have, I’d put this sandwich up against most sandwiches in the city…and I mean that. Put a properly trimmed and roasted brisket on this one and it’s up there with the best roast pork’s and cheesesteaks around imoDefinitely Didn’t Suck, but did leave room for improvement for sure.Check out video and more content on this spot and many others on my social media pages here - https://linktr.ee/Didnt_Suck“

“We found this gem about a month ago and came back for another dinner last night. Everything was wonderful. Cozy dining room, although the volume can get a little loud depending on the crowd. “Picture the quintessential neighborhood corner sandwich shop of your dreams - this is it. This is the spot. Found it today and knew at first menu glance it’d be dope. The daily specials (kielbasa & egg sandwich, and Italian melt) were great and already thinking about the next ones I want to try (ex. The Bobby). Slaw, pickle, and Vietnamese iced coffee were great too!The place was happily busy on a sunny Saturday afternoon - line inside but I ordered ahead online since I was walking my dog, and their service was great — I literally stepped inside and within 2 seconds someone came out to greet me, I said I placed order, they said my name and handed me my bag and coffee.I don’t know what we the people of Francisville did to deserve Sandwich Corner Market, but my heart is full (and stomach)(Can you guys maybe make like, a little sandwich sample flight? Like 3 little sliders somehow? I want to try so many at once but can’t be slamming like 3 sandwiches and foresee myself stressing in the future over which 1 sandwich to pick per order)“

“True old world Italian cooking artistry. Opened in 1899 Dante and Luigi's is one of the oldest restaurants in Philadelphia PA. It is certainly the oldest Italian eatery in Philly. Cozy with well dressed wait staff and old world decor. The food tells the story here. I have eating there since college. I took my dates there when I was 18. I go for the food. Delicious is the keyword. Savory tomato sauces, tender meats and exquisite desserts if you have the room after eating your meal. On my recent visit I had pasta fagoli and a side of roasted peppers and provolone to start and their homemade lasagna for the main course. Everything was scrumptious. Even though I was bordering on I can't eat another bite I had the tiramisu for dessert. I couldn't resist. Dante and Luigi is easily my favorite Italian restaurant and a cut about the rest.“

“LOVED IT HERE! Truly authentic Italian cooking, with authentic ingredients to purchase. The staff was so friendly and accomodating on their menu. We had to make a slight change in order for a vegetarian, and they had no issues. We tried their breakfast sandwiches & lunch sandwiches, and each bite was jam packed with substance & flavor (I mean, just look at the layers in my photo.) Fresh ingredients, and an overall quaint/bright spot. This would be an awesome place to post up and get some work done, do some people watching, and enjoy delicious food. Not to mention, their baked goods looked out of this world. We wanted to get so much, but I landed on their passion fruit donut, partly because it was the last one left (so I figured something must be good!) And let me tell you, their dough is different. The donut was dense & fluffy at the same time, and their passion fruit flavor was y-u-m-m-y. I can't wait to go back to try more sandwiches and get some grocery shopping done!“

“This is a fabulous local restaurant and if I lived in the neighborhood I would be there at least twice a month. I was hosting some out-of-town visitors and we enjoyed between the three of us, two plates of pasta and a caprese salad and it was more than enough food and we also enjoyed our red and white BYOB wines. Afterwards we went down a block Dirty Frank's on the corner of 13th and Pine for a nightcap which completed a full circle Philadelphia experience.“

“Really enjoyable meal.. simple yet had a nice atmosphere. It was on the louder side because of the close proximity of tables but still intimate feeling, so it wasn't a negative at all.The menu is on the smaller side, but not in a bad way. Portions are enough to share, and we had the Porcini mushroom and pasta, which was flavorful and had a good balance of each ingredient - meaning it had plenty of mushrooms, sauce and pasta. The dish had a crunchy topping with a little kick, which was a nice texture change. You can easily enjoy a good wine or simple cocktail or just sparkling water with the meal, depending on the mood. It's bright, airy, and a place I could visit regularly and not overthink a nice mealnout.“

“We were there for lunch, loved the food, especially the short rib pizza, and I usually don't eat pizza. My friend thought there was a little too much cheese. Never. I had some sort of crab pasta. It was ok, not loaded with crab like the waiter said. My friend had a salad, no complaints, but the waiter had to be asked to refill our water and tea, and we had to wait to get his attention. It wasn't busy. I loved the tiramisu. The waiter packed up our separate "to go's" nicely. I would definitely go back, lots of interesting things on the menu.“

“We have been getting take out from here for years but never sat inside to eat. We decided for our 1 year wedding anniversary that we would go here and it did not disappoint! We have always called the gnocchi "pillows of heaven." They are the absolute best! We also had the lamb which just fell off the bone and was so tender. And we definitely recommend the buratta for a starter. You can tell that everything is homemade including the bread. The service is also stellar! The staff is so attentive and so nice. We felt like family the whole meal. It's also a byob which is great to bring your favorite bottle of wine. I can't say enough about this tiny south Philly gem!“

“Have been here in Roxborough 2 years but never really saw the place until I found it on Google maps. It's a little unassuming on the outside but is really nice on the inside. I think they need a big, bright sign out front facing the street directly.Excellent food. Came for breakfast. Not too salty and they make a great hollandaise sauce. Had the stuffed french toast and crab portobello benedict. Will be back to try lunch and dinner, as well!Prices were good. The food is well portioned. You won't leave hungry.Service is great too. Multiple people checked on us. They check on you consistently for water and coffee. It was busy but we didn't have to wait too long to sit. We also didn't wait too long for food (maybe 15 minutes after order) but they brought our drinks of course within 5. Food came out hot. Can't wait to go back! “One of Philadelphia's charms is its wealth of neighborhood bistros representing regional Italian cuisines. Core de Roma is such a restaurant. Arrive early, as we did, before the place begins to fill up, and you'll meet Luigi, a loquacious, bushy-eyebrowed native of Trastevere who exudes justified pride in his food and his restaurant. This quirky BYOB, perched in the prosperous hills of Bala Cynwood, greeted us with warm, freshly baked bread accompanied by a plate of olive oil, sage, and white beans for dipping. Many delights followed: abundant, freshly made fettucine alla Bolognese; creamy, al dente spaghetti caccio e pepe; a simple, voluptuous tiramisú. Not everything was perfect; such a good restaurant should offer a decent espresso. Still, the pleasures of a small family restaurant, aspiring albeit uneven, far outweigh its odd deficiencies. The left-over fettucine was even better the next day, reminding us to return soon. See you there.“

“If I could give ten stars, I would. This is some of the best food in town. You really can’t do much better. The menu is innovative and fuses deliciousness from different cultures. It is always fresh. It’s also consistent. The chefs there (yea they are chefs, not cooks) also help reduce food waste by making their own soup stocks. Have you tried the birria Raman? That consommé is liquid gold. It’s heady and dense. The soup alone is a meal.May I also add that the people who work there are solid individuals that genuinely love to cook and create. Please eat here.Kid-friendliness: All people welcomed here. “We ate here while staying at the Mint for a birthday. We had a good time and the food was good but felt that it was a little over priced (i.e. $42 for an eggplant parm dish and over $100/person without alcohol). Staff was friendly but felt maybe a little under experienced/trained. Timing between courses was a little off (very long between one and then others right away). Cleanliness was perfect but noticed a lot of chipped dishes. Atmosphere was cozy with very comfortable seats. Overall we're glad we experienced it, would recommend to others but may/may not return.“

“Food is really good I got the fettuccine Alfredo, I got a small pizza half pep that they forgot to deliver with door dash. And a cake … my dasher went out of his way to go all the way back to the store which he didn’t have to do. But a hour later we received the pizza cold as ever but it was still good. “I ordered a plain cheese pizza for take out on a Sunday afternoon. I had to wait 25 minutes but it was worth it. Like most places in the city, parking options are very limited. When I walked in to their shop I saw several happy customers eating away, enjoying their food. The place seats about 20 people. Nice low key , no frills, South Philly Italian pizza parlor vibe with very good food. It beats standing in line at Angelo’s.“

“I can only really comment on their sandwiches, which are FANTASTIC. I normally get the Roast Beef or Pork Abruzzi sandwiches and they're great. The stuffed pepper shooters on them are top notch. I sometimes wish their was a bit more cheese on them tho. Sandwich prices are mostly reasonable for what you get.Their chicken cutlet sandwiches are also really really good, better than anywhere else in the area that I've tried ??“
