Starbucks in Philadelphia

“One of my favorite Starbucks in the world - they were my go-to through the whole pandemic. Don’t go as much since I usually go to more locally owned options, but they open at 5am which is amazing on the days I am out and about before everyone else opens at 7am/8am“

“Without fail, this STARBUCKS location always exceeds my expectations! Whether it’s a welcoming smile from their staff, the checking in when waiting an extra moment for my mobile order(even when I’ve arrived early), or crafting my latte so perfectly every single time, this team is all around the best. As of late, I’ve been stopping at another Starbucks location that will not be named and have had a few instances of cold food, long weights or deflated lattes, sometimes missing espresso, but every single time I get a beverage at the rox location it’s like a little cup of perfection. I look forward to the rare mornings that i leave my house on time and can stop in here instead.

Even in Peak, and when this team is in the weeds, they are delightful and lovely to interact with. Huge shout out to Bella this morning for my cup of happy & to all the rest of you amazing baristas and leaders that have made my drink or my morning in some way over the last few visits.

“I don't tend to work in this particular location because the music is often quite loud, but I always come to this store to pick up my coffee, even though there is another Starbucks closer to me, because the bartistas are so lovely. I appreciate the welcome at the counter, the sweet messages on the cups, and that my go-to custom drink is always made perfectly. quick drink pickup is a bright spot in my day 😊“

“I walked there from my hotel in the morning and when I got there I urgently had to use the bathroom. It needed a code to get in. I asked someone at the counter for the code and was told that I would have to purchase something BEFORE they would give me the code. I was so insulted that I went to the CVS and used their restroom. They were very helpful. I was absolutely not dressed like a bum.“

“This will be my second time visiting this location and might I say impressed. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable of what you want and drinks were delicious. I ordered a mocha cookie crumble and hello look how beautiful they made this drink I thought i was in a commercial. “Had a quick lunch break here just before class. Everyone was super nice and all my items were quickly procured lol. It's a chain so it's hard to go wrong, consistency is key! This would a good location for studying/working I'll definitely be back soon!“

“This is my favorite place to get my Carmel Ribbon Crunch or Mocha Cookie Crumble drinks. All of the staff are AWESOME! And they make my day every time I go in there. Starbucks… you have a GREAT TEAM at this location! All of the staff are more than welcome to come to Mr. Ivy ( my night job) or visit The National Shrine of Saint Rita of Cascia ( my day job). “Good old University of Pennsylvania Bookstore’s own coffee house. Located on the second floor, this Starbucks has foods and beverages sold at the chain. Escalator access. Baristas are always polite and professional when addressed. Free self served water and ample seating makes this Starbucks a safe place to study, read, and relax.“

“My girlfriend ordered a complicated drink and was unable to pick it up. She sent me. I arrived a little over an hour later (SB was packed) and I didn't know what the order was. I just had her name and venti. This Starbucks, I think the manager, was able to look up the order quickly and ask a colleague to remake it as, they had thrown the original drink away due to too much time. I was gone shortly thereafter with her drink. They didn't charge me twice. Absolutely heroic and I was really grateful for the good attitude and the ability to solve the problem easily and quickly. Girlfriend satisfied.“

“Amazing food and drinks. Friendly staff and people but very loud and crowded, sort of a long wait for your orders but there was no wait for a table whatsoever. I highly recommend this starbucks. Very clean and high quality food/drink items. (you also get free refills on coffee and tea, just not frozen ones!)“

“I’m here twice a week for the same mobile order and work nearby. The morning crew are SUPERSTARS. Lively, chatty, joking with each other and promoting a cheerful, playful environment for many of us managing our own heavy workloads. I thoroughly enjoy the morning workers. The afternoon crew, however, has a few sour grapes that have been not so kind to me about asking for ice for my 3 hour old iced drink from the earlier morning. Not all of them, only 2. After that happened 3 times in a row, I don’t know what I did, but I won’t go in during the afternoon anymore. Will stick to the morning crew and just get ice elsewhere! I hope everyone finds themselves in a better place soon. I’m sure the fatigue is a lot to deal with having so many demanding customers and probably not the best attitudes from many patrons. That’s center city for you. I just don’t go where I am not treated with the same kindness I give. In this case, it’s just a difference of what time, and that’s ok.“

“Everyone's a critic, especially for Starbucks. This is a great location, especially for how small it is, and how busy it can get. As a former shift supervisor for Starbucks, I know what it takes to keep one afloat, especially during morning or afternoon peak.

The staff here is consistently poised and striving to make personal connections and they're always playing something funky on the speakers! Yes the drinks get backed up sometimes but I think folks need to be a bit more realistic with their expectations. There's often just two baristas on bar with at least 20-30 active tickets. Maybe make sure you have a few extra moments to wait before placing your elaborate order or requesting a meticulous drip coffee. The ones who get it, get it. My drinks are always made exactly how I need them and the extra effort is always felt and appreciated!

“I had to come on here and give a shoutout to the staff and culture I witnessed yesterday morning, the baristas greeted every person that walked in the door with such enthusiasm (i honestly feel like this kind of customer service in many places, especially chains, is hard to come by). “I visited this Starbucks the Saturday before this past Mother's Day @7pm and I am extremely happy with the barista whom prepared my customized drink.

She is of a shorter stature,lighter skinned with black shoulder length hair colored at the ends.

Wish I had gotten her name.

She perfectly prepared my drink and I had already left once I sipped it and realized what a wonderful job she did.

“They are really kind baristas here, I’m shocked that this location doesn’t have a tip feature on their POS. I think that’s messed up, knowing other locations in center city have that. SP is really behind on wages and paying a livable wage, so most service workers depend on their tips. People also don’t carry cash as often anymore. Starbucks corporate do better smh“

“I went to this Starbucks inside Target the service was very good but I am disappointed with their food menu. There prices are high for the size of the sandwiches and pastries they offer. Everything is microwaved too. I think they are over rated and their coffee selections are just ok. I only went here because my friend re-gifted her gift card to me. Don't think she is a fan either.“

The vibes of it were a little chaotic (probably a little extra chaotic during my visit since it was a few hours after the Penn Engineering 2025 graduation ceremony, which is why I’ll give it a 4 out of 5 instead of a 3 out of 5), but the baristas seemed like they were slightly all over the place“

“I would say as of recently I am pretty regular customer at the Starbucks and I’ve always had a pretty pleasant experience whenever I come here. I usually get the same order every time I come by which is a large Iced Chai Latte and it’s always made well and tastes great. The staff are very friendly for the most part. “It's one of the better Starbucks! Not the cozy kind, but the clean, wood and tiles kind. They have seating space available that no one uses (but me), most people do takeout and half of the space is taken up by storage. The store is clean and the people are very friendly!

Parking: No parking - on a broad avenue. You might be able to find parking in the neighborhood or at Temple.

“This location is VERY busy, but my wife and I visited several times while we were in CHOP with our child - they were always kind people and our drinks were great every time. I had an issue with a lid malfunction (common issue right now with Starbucks) and the drink fell, not only did they remake the drink for free immediately, they also apologized to me for the lid issue. Great team here, just give them some grace... it's a very busy place!“

“The girls at:Target Philadelphia Roxborough 32477162 RIDGE AVENUEPhiladelphia, PA 19128are the best crew I've ever experienced at a starbucks. These beautiful ladies go above and beyond. They're friendly, funny, personable just overall an amazing group of women. They deserve recognition and a generous bonus at the very least and I don't mean "a pizza party". They deserve a real monetary bonus for their amazing service. I have a Starbucks closer to my house but I always bypass it and go to this location because of the crew there. “It's not located as Google map marked. I took a while to find out where it is. ANW, it's in the 1st floor coner of Gerri C. Elbow Hall (Drexel University's LeBow College of Business) next to Korman Center.Starbucks is about 1 min away, Not inside Drexel Central.“

“I read all the recent reviews so was a little leary, but I had a nice experience. The order taker was friendly had a nice greeting and parting salutation, and interacted with a smile. My coffee came out almost immediately and the food came just a few seconds more. This is a walk up location only, no indoor seating but several chairs and tables in the park nearby including some comfy looking Adirondack chairs on the lawn. The order and pick up windows are a bit small, so they may add to the perhaps impersonal interactions with the staff but again, I had a pleasant experience. They even put a friendly encouragement on my coffee!“
