The seating can be crowded with adjacent tables so close you shouldn't share your deepest secrets and the bar stools have no backing and nowhere to put your coat in cold weather but you put up with it.Get the Peroni on draft-excellent with the pizza!Parking: During tourist season and almost any weekend parking is tough.Try spring street or one of the hidden public lost between Spring and America's Cup.“

No free refills on soda (unless our waitress, who was great, just accidentally put it in wrong) which I found a bit strange, especially for the glasses which are very small and filled mostly with ice. “We parked up at the top of the hill, so we were close to the Mansions. Needed a watering hole after trudging round a Mansion. This place was just opening when we walked by. The beer was nice and cold, priced reasonably compared to the rip off merchants down by the Harbor. Best thing about it was the Owners. They were really personable. So, we came back for a grilled chicken sandwich lunch before heading home. Pity we couldn't stay longer. Wish there were more places like this. Highly recommended.“
“We have added Frankie's to our regular Friday night dinner rotation. The food and the service have been outstanding on every visit. Last night I had an Open Table reservation for a high-top and when we walked in the couple in front of us said they had "called" the previous evening to reserve a high-top. It was pretty obvious, there was only 1 high top available and they had not "called". At first, the staff asked if we wanted a regular table, we declined because we liked the bar area better. In a GREAT customer service move, they immediately honored our hightop reservation and had to put our party of 2 at a 6 top, at the expense of a larger party that may come in. On top of all of this, our server was very friendly, understanding, and attentive. Needless to say, this was one of the best handling of a table "mix-up" we have seen and we greatly appreciated it. I had the Malt burger and it was great / cooked perfectly and tasty with bacon, pickled onion jam, mustard aioli, etc - the kitchen knows how to upgrade a burger! Draft Beer selection was impressive - I particularly loved this Pilsner from VT. Waiter was great - and they must make a mean espresso martini - as we saw a lot of them coming out from the bar! Menu is varied - and prob want to try the cod/risotto next time. Great experience and loved the ‘whole package’ at Malt!“

“Went Saturday night for dinner and drinks (3/2/24). We sat at the bar in the separate bar area. The bar area is modern, cozy, very clean and has good seating space at the bar and with tables around the bar. The place was very busy. Our bartender was Christian. He was very pleasant, welcoming, very efficient with a packed room and very professional. The food was awesome. We have the Italians Pizza and tortellini carbonara which were both awesome! We also had hot & dirty martinis and expresso martinis and Christian rocked them both, one of the best for both martinis have ever had. Would definitely go back when in the area!!!!“
“Old Mountain Lanes is a hidden gem in southern Rhode Island. We had an outing there for a parks association meeting and we had a great time. This was the second time we have been there. Great place to bowl of course, but they have a great diner and a bar area. The pizza we had was very good, and others in my group said they had pretty good food there. Although I did not eat at the diner. There is plenty of room for an outing, and / or a meeting. Definitely a good choice. If you're looking for a place for corporate team building, birthday party or other event. I highly recommend it.“

We chose to dine in and found the restaurant to be clean, The staff to be pleasant, and the diners that were there for dinner enjoying themselves. It's a laid back, casual vibe that's good for families, as well as couples.We started our dinner with a cocktail... Choosing a cosmopolitan that was quite good! For dinner we had the chicken wraps and the sesame duck. Both were very good...tasty, fresh, and good portion size. My wife and I don't have large appetites so sharing an appetizer and main course works for us.We ended our meal with mango and sticky rice for dessert. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal. “Our 1st night there got gluten free fish and chips and was amazing! My brother got the regular fish and chips which they cook in a separate fryer and his fish was almost double in size, but I didn't complain because I was happy I could eat. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about gluten free and allergens. Went back for lunch another day and got a GF chicken sandwich and fries. Bread typical GF crumbly bun so if you have no choice like me you deal. Had to skip the sauce because there was gluten in it, so again, grateful for the waitress being knowledgeable and on top of it to be sure those with allergies are safe. Parking very tough so if you have someone who can't walk distances go during an off time or drop them off and go park somewhere. I would choose this as a regular option due to my dietary restrictions as long as they remain safe. “I enjoyed my two slices! We walked in just half an hour before they closed but the team was warm and welcoming despite being in the process of closing. There was still a variety of slices available, I got the meat lovers and Hawaiian. I wish I could've met the delivery robot that brings the pie to your table, but he was plugged in & charging for the evening! ?My friends go back to this place regularly and enjoy it a lot, I hope to return one day in the middle of service to get the full experience - looking forward to it!“
