“I had a great experience yesterday visiting this cozy sandwich shop. The staff was very personable and friendly. They have many different options of sandwiches, drinks, sides, and other food options. I tried the Houstonian style sandwich with everything on it with a side of elote and it did not disappoint. The right ratio of meats to sauce to lettuce with a nice crisped slices of bread. If you like sandwiches and have some time, I highly recommend giving this place a try. I most definitely will be back.“

“It was alright. Place has a very cool vibe, and a very cool bar. I will definitely be back for the bar. The food was pretty basic for how expensive it was, and the menu was extremely busy, considering their target audience. We had a whole lot of trouble staring at the menu. Talk about too many words on a sign! What were they thinking??? I “highly” recommend checking out the menu online to get an idea of what you want, so you aren’t just staring at the sign at the counter with mad confusion. Great service, and everyone was very cordial. Hangry people behind you maybe not so much. Definitely worth checking out. The Kool-Aid on tap is a great added touch!“

“The decor hasn't changed much at all since this was Black's Market a few years ago, which is to say it's very well kept and comfortable if a bit noisy. Staff was friendly and easy to talk to. I shared a pepperoni pizza with a friend, so nothing fancy. Lots of good choices available on the menu though. Pizza was solid. I think it's hard to make a bad pizza... but I had an enjoyable experience and would gladly visit again.“

“Outstanding service and food. We were there to reunite with some family we haven't seen for over 15 years, and the staff was so welcoming. They did not rush us, and gave us plenty of time to catch up before during and after lunch. And our food was amazing! I had just chosen Barnaby's randomly, since we are not from Houston. “I've been here a lot because their food is fresh, tasty, and reasonably healthy, but I came in on 3/23, and I wish I got the name of the cashier because he was above and beyond friendly for my to go order.My go-to orders are the taco salad and turkey avo salsa, but my current obsession is the mushroom philly on special WOW. “My friend mentioned Cheba and I had to google it because I'd never heard of it. So glad I didn't make any other suggestions. This place was a VIBE!!!! The atmosphere was welcoming. The staff greeted you as soon as you came through the door. The menu is very straightforward but they let you make changes to the sub according to your taste buds. They even have Kool-aid & had Bob's Burger playing. I ordered the White Widow. It's grilled chicken breast, bacon, ranch, shrooms (got these on the side ), provolone, lettuce, tomato, onion & pickle (both on the side too), Shake & House dressing. The combo includes chips and a drink. My childish self mixed all the kool-aids together (talk about nostalgia). I loved this place & I'm now hooked!“

We all say the same thing there is never room to complaint every single time the customer service is spectacular they really go out of there way to show appreciation for attendance, the food is a 10/10 the desert is also 10/10 along with the fun sides I get to take home! “I recently visited Mendocino Farms in Uptown Park, Houston, Texas. While I'm always greeted by polite employees, there was one by the name of Margo who stood out. Her professionalism and personality should be commended. She took more than an adequate amount of time to assure my happiness with the service while I waited for my take-out. Even when I expressed my discontent with the removal of a menu item, in my opinion, the best tasting one on the menu, Margo sympathized with me, which made me feel heard and understood, not ignored.I only gave four stars for the food because that menu item is no longer available. In the future, I’d request to have my protein sliced significantly thinner, so it was more manageable to eat it within the sandwich itself. I thought the portion was generous and don’t want that to change. I just struggled a little bit to take bites due to the thickness of the pancetta so if you slightly alter the execution, you’ve got perfection. Will be back again. Yum!“

“Good God Almighty! The VEGAN shroomsteak sandwich is BY FAR the best VEGAN sandwich I've ever had! The "meat" is Fable mushroom steak, which looks and tastes so much like meat I was dumbfounded. Their sesame roll is also great, nice toasty flavor. Did I mention it is VEGAN? The spicy curried couscous was also excellent, and it is also VEGAN. This is a high-calorie meal so it can't really be called a healthy option, but man is it good. If you're vegan (or not) and want something super-tasty and indulgent look no further than the shroomsteak at Mendocino Farms, you will not regret it.“

“Neighborhood gem with a nautical theme that offers authentic Maine eats in the bustling Sawyer yards. We always wanted to try this place and finally stopped by. The owner/chef of the restaurant is very friendly and knowledgeable about what he does. He had a good conversation with us about what’s special about Maine sandwiches and Whoopi pies while taking our order. We had original lobster roll, lobster bisque, Maine sub, clam chowder, and of course Whoopi pies. All of them were delicious, especially clam chowder and lobster roll. The restaurant is clean and customer service is flawless. Highly recommend! We will come back.“

When I pulled up I wasn't sure if I would stop or look for something else. So glad I went in and tried Tee's. It is in a large building on the 1st. I ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese English muffin and it was amazing!!! One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. Will definitely come back when in town!!!“

“Quiznos has all but disappeared as of 2023, but the food taste/quality has miraculously remained consistent. What used to be the only real alternative to Subway now has a lot of competition in the form of Jimmy John's, Firehouse, etc. Both of those are tasty in their own way, but neither can really hit the Quiznos spot. My spouse generally loathes sandwiches from anywhere, but enjoyed the Classic Italian. I created my own turkey sandwich and loaded it with red wine vinaigrette (to me, they have the tastiest condiments of any of the major sandwich chains--and I believe the sauce separates the wheat from the chaff when it comes to sandwiches) and honey mustard. The toasted bread is always pretty top-notch. This location is on the backside of Town & Country, in a clean, calm area of the city. The restaurant is a little dated, but that's to be expected considering all that Quiznos has been through at the corporate level. Service was okay--super nice, but there was a communication challenge on my order that I didn't seek to correct after it happened because it wasn't anything major. She did offer to remake my sandwich but I declined. It was still tasty!“

Their chicken noodle soup tasted off, and then they mixed up my order. But it all got resolved quickly amd they exchanged my soup.
