“Ohmygoodness! We had lunch here today and it was beyond amazing! I chose Asada Tacos (they were incredible; salsa and rice were incredible as well!) and Bill chose Chicken Fried Steak and House Made potato’s with a salad (his chicken fried steak was perfect; the potatoes were dreamy, and the salad was way beyond what most restaurants serve as salad…I believe it actually had fresh spinach in it!) We met the new owner and had a great visit! We will definitely be back soon, and I hope it’s for breakfast because the offerings look and sound delicious!“

“We are always quick to complain but neglect giving credit when it is due. We love the Plaza and food, but nobody is perfect. We had an out-of-town guest who'd never eaten at the Plaza, so of course with our rave reviews we had to get takeout. The person who took our order was obviously in a hurry but did correctly repeat our order. We picked it up and on arriving home our guest did not get what was ordered. Disappointedly I called and "Tony" answered the phone. The result being Tony gave us a credit for what we should of had on our next order. We used it promptly a night later and all went well and was delicious. We want to tip our hat to Tony for handling this situation so well and maintaining our business while gaining a new customer. The Plaza is fortunate to have such a fine and credible employee!!“

“Disappointed in my favorite go to place when I am in Amarillo I did the drive through for the first time. Called in the order. Not good. Threw my burrito away. Thought my fault for not just going in. Yesterday in Amarillo Got the edible salad Lettuce was not even chilled. It was room temp. Ruined the whole salad. Bought a large container of the spicy ranch and a big bad of chips. When I got home and sat down to enjoy the spicy ranch and chips the Spicy Ranch was like water! So disappointed, please don’t start going downhill. I love y’all’s food. Keep your quality. It’s definitely having a few issues“

“I just drove 14 hours straight from Kentucky to Texas.

All I could think about for the last 14 hours was the buttery, savory, light, fluffy tortillas gently hugging the lightly fried chile relleno with the creamy melted cheese inside the chile...

My first stop in Amarillo was Grandma's as I sat patiently in the parking lot waiting for Grandma's to open at 7am.

To my surprise, they opened the doors early at 6:57am and I was greeted with the smell of freshly made salsa, tortilla chips, tortillas, and breakfast foods. The cherry on top, ice cold Mexican Coca-Cola made with real sugar and not the cheap inferior corn sryup Coca-Cola.

I told the staff the tale of my 14 hour journey and quest for the best chile relleno burrito in the Texas Panhandle as I am describing above.

I may have moved away from Texas, but Grandma's Burrito's will always be the number one burrito joint in my heart and always be my number one stop when I travel back to my roots here in Tejas.“

“Amazing tacos! My wife usually won’t eat anyone’s tacos but her own and she loves the variety, the quality, and the atmosphere! There are quite a few options in the taco department and they’re all delicious. The tortas are also huge literally and in terms of flavor on pillowy soft bread.
