“In the land of bbq KG stands out like a shining star! We watched Kareem on Bbq showdown and knew we had to go when we realized he was in Austin. We thought it’d be good but it was truly outstanding! We ordered all but 2 meats (my husband forgot the sausage, I was not happy!) everything was amazing, but the standouts were the chicken kabobs, the pomegranate pork ribs and the lamb chop (not usually a lamb fan). The chicken thighs were so moist and flavorful! The flavors of the pom pork rib were so rich and complex and truly unique. The true surprise for both of us was the lamb chop; tender, juicy and full of savory flavor. Rounding out our meal was the Egyptian Mac and cheese which had there not been so much delicious meat would have been a top fave, creamy shells with a garlic tomato béchamel with just the right amount of nutmeg. For dessert we tried the rice pudding with crumbles pistachios and hulava on top, something I hated in childhood. The cool, creamy rice pudding had a subtle cardamom flavor and cooled off the mouth after so much Egyptian flavor! Outstanding!!!“

“Best food in town! Excellent service if you tell me. Rice cake, Kimchee pancake, and corn cheese is something I suggest as a starter. Main dish, i would suggest fried chicken sweet-n-mild, squid stir-fried, and bu Dae jeans gol (military soup). Try this place you won't regret!“

“One of the few places that open late in austin. They also have a karaoke room too. You order through their QR code and pay online. My favorite dish from them is the spicy seafood hot pot. We asked to switch the udon noodle for ramen. It was really yummy but they took a while making it. I also tried their fried chicken. They cook it really well, but their cheese flavoring need more powder on it. It tasted like normal fried chicken. Their dumpling and la galbi were decent. The corn cheese wasn’t the best. I didn’t like their rice cake and sausage skewer. The sauce tasted too much like ketchup.“

“Flavor is on point, staff are friendly and service is fast.
It’s on a pricier range compared to other Korean chicken places. I had to pay for rice on the side.
Parking: The area gets packed, parking could be tricky.“

“I’m obsessed with narrow street. The spicy pork and squid A4. It’s packed full of veggies and flavor. We drive from south austin and make a day of it and I ALWAYS eat here. The service is fast and the food is fresshhhhh. The price may seem like a lot but the portions can feed two people or be 2-3 meals for one person.“

“If you want an amazing place to get some korean food and be served by the most friendly staff, go to SOHA. Great drinks, amazing food, best spot in Austin to hang out and drink and eat.“

“I love Chi'Lantro, but I hate that they put the hot food on plastic bags. The micro-plastics get into the food when heated, you can taste it and it leaves one feeling weird. Plus, no cash? What the heck is that about, the pandemic is over. Look, stop putting heated food on thin plastic and I'll become a frequent customer again. Thanks!“

“Real tasty. Great service. I was working in an office down the way here in Austin I’m glad I went. Such a fun combination of flavors. I went with the bulgogi steak and the glazed chicken with a fried egg and guacamole. Kind of has a Cava or Chipotle vibe if you’re used to that make it your own speed service. Worth trying.“

“Chilantro is one of my favorites and today’s visit at the Burnet Rd location was no exception! The food was incredible as always but it was the staff that made my stop so worthwhile. Mark, who helped me was so friendly and went above and beyond to make my experience enjoyable. Thank you so much!“

“Korean review: really inexpensive and one of the only places in South Austin to get your Korean food fix. I know other reviews had some service problems but experienced NONE of that. Greeted immediately when walking in, we picked our seats and had multiple staff during our hour and a half stay check up on us even with a crowd of others arriving after us. We got the Kimbap appetizer split it for two (was delicious didn't need anything else like a sauce - perfect on it's own!). I got the beef bulgogi and my friend got the Rock Bibimbap with spicy pork (like regular Bibimbap but in a hot pot!). YALL LEMME TELL YOU THIS WAS SO GOOD. I was having an emotional experience with these flavors. Banchan selection was good too. Got 6 of them and one of them kimchi. I'll be back for take out and eventually try out the Japanese and Sushi portion of the menu.“

“Cute vibes, and a different take on Korean food.
Food: we had the fried chicken, seasonal salad, and the wagyu. When looking around.. sooo many people had the fried chicken and our server told us they were known for their fried chicken and wagyu steak- which is why we got both. The fried chicken was a bit of a letdown for me. It was dry, wasn’t that crispy, and the flavor wasn’t out of this world- just tasted like toasted seaweed because of the nori flakes. Idk… just didn’t get the hype for $36 for a very small half bird. The wagyu was good tho, if not a bit sweet. Think bulgogi sauce marinaded. They had a great dipping sauce, but the meat wasn’t particularly tender and I wasn’t even asked what temperature I like my steak. It came out med rare. The kimchi that accompanied it was a cantaloupe kimchi.. which was ok, not my fav. The side pear salad tho was delicious, but still.. $18 for a side of pears and cucumbers.
Atmosphere was good. Very vibey and cute.
There’s a parking garage connected and they validate parking.“

“My daughter found this place on Tik Tok, so here we are trying it out. It’s very popular and you will not be disappointed! The potato corn dog was my favorite! We will definitely go back to try something different!
The wait was not long at all and we went on a Saturday!
Parking: Parking kinda sucks but it’s worth the circling around 😜
Kid-friendliness: Why not take the kids too!“

“Just like everyone else I was shocked! I tried the Beef Bulgogi Box with extra Banchans (sides) and it was amazing. I requested for no spicy if possible (hard to do) and they did it! The food reminds me of New York Korean food. It’s really filling and nutritional, I cannot wait to have an excuse to order again.
I will say they give a generous amount of sides so if you really like rice like me, get an extra side of rice instead.“
“Reasonable prices and the cutest family run place!! My husband and I have tried the stir fried fish cakes, pickled and seasoned garlic stem, and seasoned radish and everything was prepared and seasoned to perfection. Will definitely come back!“

“First time, we were greeted as soon as we opened the door! Worker seemed nervous and slower than others but he got help to keep the flow going. The wings are amazingly delicious! Kpop bowl was delicious and everything looked fresh! Looking forward to eating here regularly. I hope they can open one in Manor TX and everywhere!! We need more real food options! The fruit sodas were delicious and different. Yum!
Kid-friendliness: Small space to seat but high chairs are available. Restroom has changing table, spacious and clean.“

“I ordered catering for a company event and accidentally requested only half of what we needed. It could have been a disaster, but when I called on the morning of our event to confirm the order, the catering manager noticed the mistake and helped me fix it. HUGE thanks to the amazing team for catching the error and helping me correct it. We look forward to ordering from you again!“

“I've been wanting to try this place out. The pics look so appetizing! I enjoyed my meal but I'm not sure it's anything to rave about. I went with my sister and she got the Jopok All Ramen and I got the Topokki Rapokki and we shared some kimbap. She said hers was good but a little underwhelming and increasingly spicy with every bite. It came in a little mini pot and had a opaque broth. I liked my dish. It was spicier than I would like but not as spicy as other Topokki I've tried. If that makes any sense. It was a generous portion but probably would want to add sausage next time and ask for milder spice. Probably sacrilegious of me to even ask lol. I'd go again to try some of the other popular dishes like the blood sausage and mixed fry set. The woman working there was nice and they gave out stamp cards.“

“Food is amazing! We ordered lamb vindaloo, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, and butter chicken. The vindaloo is the most well spiced I’ve tasted in YEARS, just the right amount of heat and so so flavorful. Chicken biryani is also very well spiced, I love the chunks of spices you can still see and taste in the rice. Everything was delicious. I liked the cakes they had available. Service was great. We will definitely be back!“

“I will keep coming back! The naengmyun was perfect and satisfied my cravings; the squid in nakjibokkeum was very tender and not chewy. The fried dumplings were crispy and juicy inside, and the side dishes were perfect to compliment the entrees. Very authentic and reminded me of my meals in Korea.
Bring cash! Card is accepted but you need to walk over to the Hana Market register to pay for your meal.“

“Go during their lunch time (11am-3pm weekdays), so the price is cheaper. There are a variety of bento boxes, fried rice, stews, and ramens options for their lunch menu. I got their seafood soft tofu jigae which was good and spicy. I also had their beef bulgogi ramen. The broth was slightly sweet, but I like the slightly chewy ramen the most. Both of these were on the lunch options. Their seafood pancake is huge to justify the $16 price point. It’s not the best I ever had, but it wasn’t bad.“

“The food is pretty good, it’s relatively healthy and open late. It’s not going to blow your mind but it’s easily the best option in the area after 10pm.
I had an issue with an order and Sam was very quick to make things right. They frequently ask for feedback and seem invested in providing a good experience.“

“Very good bento box! I had the beef bulgogi and kiddo had the chicken teriyaki. Everything tastes fresh and well prepared. It was a good value with 2 pieces of nigiri in addition to the typical Cali roll, tempura veggies, soup, salad, rice, veggies, and gyoza. We will be back!“

“The restaurant is full of character. A koi pond hidden behind a false front is a great surprise for the kids. Traditional seating in the back is a nice experience. “Had to come here once I heard it was Korean-Tex-Mex fusion, some of the most flavorful cuisines out there. The food did not disappoint; the kimchi bowls, the caramelized kimchi, the spicy sauces... all are mouth-watering.
The staff are friendly and nice, despite not always being able to speak English. An extra second of patience to communicate makes for a still-smooth service. (Spanish-speaking practice time!)
My only suggestion would to make the inside a bit more comfortable (seating, A/C balance, more space), but that's not a deal-breaker for me. We usually take it to-go because of this.
Overall, I'd recommend this place. We've been here multiple times and won't stop. Thanks for having us!“

“Went in for lunch to specifically have their Kimchi Fries, which I had in the past. Ordered Kimchi fries with added beef. Fries were nice and crunchy, full of flavors. Overall very good. It seems like portion was much smaller than when I had it the past. $14 for fries and I'm still hungry. Their bowl looked much more filling. Restaurant was clean, staff was very gracious. Just seems very overpriced - probably won't come back.“

“I'll give this 5 stars because the food is amazing - if you order the right combo! Their magic sauce is delicious. The k pop chicken ( I think that's the name) is very good! This is my new fav place. The service is just order at the counter - nothing special there. The atmosphere is just okay. It's pretty small inside and can get pretty busy. The price is spendy but it's sooo good! I don't like their drinks- tastes watered down so I don't recommend those.
Parking: During lunch it can be hard to find a spot to park it's also hard to back out of those spots!“

“Izumi Sushi is a solid choice for a casual meal. I tried their Boat A, which offered a nice variety, but the sushi wasn’t the best I’ve had—some pieces felt a bit lacking in flavor. However, the Chicken Teriyaki bento box was a standout; the chicken was tender and flavorful, paired nicely with rice, miso soup, and some other stuff. The udon noodles were also a highlight, with a delicious, hearty broth. While the sushi could use some improvement, the overall experience was enjoyable, and the bento and noodles definitely make it worth a visit.“

“Ate here a few times and it’s became my favorite korean restaurant. Food is authentic Korean meals! Only complaint is that I noticed that they gave different side dishes to koreans who were there which I was alittle disappointed by. Aside from that, food was amazing, service could use some more checking in but the restaurant was small enough that they notice right away when you need something. I haven’t tried their meals for 3-4 people yet but i would love to try that someday. Their portion sizes were huge too honestly could do 2meals with it if you are a small eater.“
