On my last visit, I ate alone at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed mandu dumplings, Asian pear kimchi and a tremendous pork tonkstsu. Owner Richard guided me to a terrific bottle of wine to complement the set. It was a terrific evening. Great food / great wine / warm service / lovely atmosphere…Underdog has it all. “So we ended up in this restaurant on a whim. My daughter had a birthday & we took her to the place next door of it. We got done around 8 & we were soooo hungry. Sooo maybe a little too hungry. I don't know why my family makes me (the fat one) order because I ordered soooo much lol. I will say I didn't know it would be such big portions! I ordered:The spicy rice cake soup (we didn't even touch it because we ate so much BUT my family had it the next day & loved it. 20 fried chicken wings, first 10 had a cheese on it and the other 10 had a sweet sauce. Than I ordered another 10 of the spicy wings. I munched on these for 2 days lolSo I ordered 2 of the Pork Belly. I didn't know they give you so much. I thought one order was already two orders & when the other order of Pork Belly came out. We were stuffed! The next day we made pork belly breakfast tacos yummm ! I made them with the short ribs vegetables (onion & bell peppers), corn tortillas and the pork belly & eggs. I also ordered the short ribs, which was kind of the only disappointment. They were VERY tough & chewy but flavor was good. The people were absolutely sweethearts. They were shocked at how many dishes we ordered for a family of 5. We had a crazy amount of leftovers but, I will say for the price, AND the amount of food we ate for the next 2 days, this place is worth it !“

“Delicious. It's been a while since I looked for pork cutlet, and Gimcheon came to mind, and I thought it would be good. It lives up to expectations. There is a decent amount of meat and the rice is a bit overcooked, but this is just right. (It looks like it was rice cooked in a rice bowl, not steamed rice like in a Chinese restaurant.) I also ordered kimchi for $1. It tastes like commercially available kimchi and the amount is moderately large. The kimchi was a bit overripe, so I was okay with it. I ordered takeout and was happy to eat it because they served it with sauce separately. I liked that the sauce wasn't too sweet. I'll try other menu items next time.I was craving for some pork katsu for a while. The expectation was what I used to have at a Korean variety diner - and I got just that so I'm satisfied. Decent portions, good taste. I added Kimchi as a side and it was good too. It's a slightly 'femented' version - which just means it's been left to sit in the fridge for a while for more taste - and I prefer it, but some may find it too flavorful. It's only costs $1 to add it so may be worth a try. Definitely would revisit the place.“

“Brick & mortar location of a great food truck. Basically a Korean BBQ joint with a taco spin. Kimchi fries are fantastic as long as you can handle the carbs. Since it's a counter-serve place, all the dishes are very customizable. Fast service and if all the tables are full, all the dishes can be served in To-Go boxes.Dietary restrictions: Very easy to customize any dish.“

“Interesting Korean Tex Mex mix. I got the noodles with chicken and my own toppings. Maybe I should have tried the rice but my pregnancy taste buds make everything taste different. I will try again when this baby comes out. Husband loves the food here.“

“The food is some of my favorite in Austin. The pork katsu is so tender. I normally don’t eat left overs because I think they taste gross with the fridge taste, but they give so much food for the price you’re bound to have left overs. I put mine in the air fryer and it’s still just as delicious as when I first got it. I cannot begin to tell you how good this place is. This place is a must try. As a chef , I appreciate the amount of consideration in the plating, it’s absolutely beautiful.“

“This place is located in the food court in HMart. While it can get hectic there, the food is the perfect place for some Korean comfort food!I might have come on an off day, but the service was really slow. They left out a sign saying "Be back in 15 minutes" but I waited over 30 minutes before I could order. That aside though, the seafood soondubu jigae was so delicious!! The mild spice was a bit spicier than most other places I've had, but it was good with the rice. The broth was perfectly flavored and there was so much soft tofu. I think this would have been perfect with an egg. But even so, this was one of the tastiest soondubus I've had!“

“Nice quiet place for dinner. The food and service were great! This was our first time ordering ramen and it did not disappoint. Also ordered the dynamite, snowflake, and longhorn rolls(actually plated like a longhorn) all were made fresh and delicious. Waitress was very attentive and the staff were all very polite. I would definitely go again.“

“A little hidden korean cuisine gem. Tucked away inside the food court of Hana World, this restaurant surprised me with its flavor on the Korean BBQ short ribs. They had a vast menu with over 30 different tasty options. They take cash at the counter, but you can also pay with credit card inside eith the Hana World cashiers. I would recommend any of the Korean BBQ meal options.“
