We got the corn and mac and cheese as our sides and they were top tier, I highly recommend. I also got the pulled pork sandwich, the meat was stacked high and was tender. When we got there, a man was playing live music and it really added to the vibes. Lastly if you come on a friday or saturday they give you a free cinnamon roll with your meal if you dine in. “This is a must try in the Dallas area. You get to see all the food on the smoker as you order- they pick it and plate it right in front of you. They'll chop your brisket if you like it that way. You can also order a steak right as you walk in. They cook it to order- so you can get it how you like it.I got the beef ribs. Holy smokes was it good! I'm not usually a beef rib person, but the gentleman at the pit recommended it. They were so tender and juicy! The fat was just barely held together. As soon as you took a bite the fat melted with the bark and it was a flavor experience that defies description.The sides were grab and go. I suggest you try the potato salad with mustard, and the mac and cheese. If you like beans, I have great news: They're free! If you dine in, you can have all the jalapeno beans you want. They've got some kick, and there are some pieces of sliced sausage floating around in there.There are also two types of sauce to try- their classic and a slightly spicier version.Delicious. “Fat Cow closed their doors to host 65 collegiate synchronized swimmers, coaches, and parents from the University of Incarnate Word, San Antonio Texas. We were there celebrating UIW taking NCAA D1 championship. The owners, husband and wife, running an amazing business. They single-handedly prepared and served the food. The beef brisket, pulled chicken and beef sausage were delicious. The sides of mac & cheese, potato salad, and baked beans were equally as great and the buns oh so delicious. The food was very tasty. The servings were generous. An incredible value for this homemade authentic Texas BBQ! The restaurant is spacious with great natural lighting from the multitude of large windows. Avocado, almonds, cherry tomatoes all in a delicious citrus vinaigrette.My son had the French dip sandwich, which came on a specialty bread, and was served like sliders with a jus. It is a blend of sirloin and prime rib. He said it was awesome! The server was friendly and took the time to describe the food and answer our questions. We would definitely return.“

“Want to start off by saying the wait staff were excellent. Very attentative and friendly. Food came out quick with very little wait. The food was good, brisket was a bit dry but good flavor. Mac n cheese and Corn was good, but nothing crazy special.That said, when walking down the Riverwalk it is like the only restaurant without its tables full of families and people. The place is marketed as upscale BBQ, the closest I can think of competition wise would be Marty B's. But the biggest gripe with it is price. The out the door price with tip and no drink for the food in the picture is $36. They need to offer some kind of plate with a 1/2 lbs of meat and two sides in the $19-22 range like their competition. The clientele around the Riverwalk is young adults, families with young children and some retirement aged individuals. None of which will repeatedly pay that much per person for BBQ. And I suspect that's why it's tables were empty even though every single one at Under Dogs and Piehole are full. The happy hour prices for drinks and apps I think are very fair. But BBQ and meal prices need some work.“
“One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Where do I begin! I had the 2 meat plate and ordered brisket and ribs with a side of fried okra and potato salad! The okra was fresh and the batter was seasoned incredibly well! The okra was crunchy and fried to perfection. The potato salad was phenomenal - omg! One of the best! The owner was so nice. “This place used to be acceptable, but lacked A lot to be desired in the service department. It's been A long while since I've eaten here. The food has always been great, but the staff was not good in the communication area. You can sense A whole new attitude. They removed the trash cans and they actually remove your trash themselves. On top of that, they clean the table as well.I don't remember seeing them wash tables before. The staff now are very attentive, asking you if they can help with any questions, the old staff barely spoke. In addition the night manager checked on each table to see if the customer needed anything. MUCH IMPROVED! I know it's basically fast food BBQ, but they take good care of their customers. Happy, I went back and will continue too.“

Staff helped us find the best deals, best choices and even hooked us up with family games to help pass the time (which was very short once everyone made a decision on what they wanted!) calzones, pizza rolls, cheese bread, cinnamon sticks. It was all great. “My steak was perfect, which seems to be hard for people to do, but the wait for someone to take a drink order was ridiculous. We went on a Thursday night around 8 and waited over 15 minutes for water. But the sweet rolls are yummy and my blue steak was pure perfection. It was so loud our server had to keep asking us to repeat ourselves which was annoying, and we couldn't have a conversation (wish I had brought some earplugs, ears still ringing a week later). “This is the best Dickeys I’ve been to in probably 20 years. Many of them are rundown and should be closed. This one is the exception. I’ve eaten here three or four times and never been disappointed. They always have a couple of daily specials to help with the high cost of barbecue, their rolls are so much better than the other Dickeys I’ve been to. The people running the place seem to be competent and it so far has never been crowded.“
“I love the BBQ here! If you drive past you can smell the smoker and then your car magically turns around and pulls in. I personally love the turkey and chicken smoked to perfection and the sides are so good! They make the usual meat plates and sandwiches but they also make quesadillas using the meat of your choice and they are HUGE. I have tried most of the menu and it's all good.“

“I'm a little ways away from Marty B's but it was worth the drive to try it out. The parking is on gravel but there's a large area for it. I went for lunch so there wasn't any live music but the outdoor area had plenty of seating. I liked that there was both indoors and outdoors. The food was good. I can appreciate that they give you an option on lean of a little fatties slice of brisket as well. The jalapeño goes great on top of the meats. The sides were a little cold but nothing to complain about or leave a bad review. The sides are def not from KFC. The ambiance is nice. I'd drive the extra time to eat here.“
