“This Blue Corn harvest Bar and Grill is located W 7th Street just off the main downtown square in Georgetown. There is free parking around the restaurant, opening hours are 11am - 10pm (weekdays) and 10am to 10pm (weekends). There is a nice indoor seating area and menu features a nice selection of home-cooked, traditional Texas and Tex-Mex dishes.

Had an early lunch here recently, found the Chicken fried chicken lunch to be very good. Chicken was nicely crispy fried yet still succulent and flavourful. Mash and gravy tasted perfect, as did the grilled vegetables. This was a very good lunch, good portion size and rightly priced as well. Would gladly return for another meal at Blue Corn Harvest based on this recent experience.”

“This was our first visit, but definitely will not be our last. The entire experience from making a reservation to paying the bill was first class. We were promptly greeted and shown to our booth. The ambiance was very nice and despite wood floors, the noise level was low (not a minor factor for seniors with rock and roll impaired ears). Our server was very attentive, but not overly so. The food was superb, in my opinion. We had octopus and mussels for starters. Both were very tasty. The broth for the mussels was very flavorful and required extra bread to finish it off. The braised ribs and tagliatelle were the best I have ever had. The meat was tender and super delicious. We also had osso buco which was too big to finish so we took it home for another meal. The bread pudding and ice cream were the perfect thing to top off a great meal. Hats off to the crew at La Riv for dishing up a fantastic evening. We'll be back!”

When we started to pay, the server informed us that some kind gentleman had picked up our ticket and the tip! We were amazed and so grateful for someone to do such a kind gesture for strangers! “Big taste, bigger heart! In the days following the Central Texas floods, Lulu showed up to help with the flood cleanup, ready to get her hands dirty. She worked alongside people who had been displaced by the flood, and told me several times that any time any of the flood relief volunteers or survivors needed a warm cup of coffee, she would love for them to come by the shop and provide that at no charge. I thanked her for supporting our community, but never personally made it by there, although I did share that with others! Today I went in to drop off a barrel for food collections because of course she jumped at the opportunity to support those struggling in our community in another way. I told her how much I appreciated her, and how sad I was that I couldn’t eat any of the amazing goodies in her cute shop because I have Celiac disease. She showed me several treats that are gluten free and said she was very careful about cross contamination. She GAVE me a massive piece of her Basque Cheesecake, which I could not wait to get back to the car and try. Oh. My. Goodness. This stuff is actual heaven. It’s hands down the best cheesecake, gluten free or not, I have ever had. And I’m a foodie. I savored several bites (didn’t even wait to get home to a fork), and decided it was going to be my dinner. I also resolved to save some for breakfast. O have gotten back into the container FIVE times now as I continue delivering barrels and posters. I don’t think this little miracle of a treat is making it to breakfast 😂. If you want lovely treats in a cute store on the Most Beautiful Square in Texas served by an absolutely wonderful human, you have to go check out Lulu’s. And if you’re lucky, you’ll get to meet Lulu herself.”

“Best BBQ I’ve had in AGES. I grew up here and now live in the Midwest. I was visiting my parents and wanted some legit BBQ, the kind I grew up with - not hipsterized. I cannot recommend Tejano Cookers enough. The sliced brisket was unbelievably good. Awesome, friendly service. No pretense. I will come back every time I’m down here. It’s a treat to look forward to. The beer isn't bad, it's just British. Rentsch is a Georgetown staple. The huge Oaks, the great hospitality. The venue is really awesome. However, one must know what it is before going. In the past year folks have asked why the beer tastes sour and like vinegar. Today, the overwhelming desire in craft beer is full-bodied, full textured IPA's, Hazy's, Wheats, and Double IPA's. Electric Jellyfish is King. English/British Ales and brews are different. Think Lone Star and Lone Star light. Both great beers. Rentsch opts for less popular lagers, ales, pilsners. Not what many people like, but some do, so Rentsch fills that void. Rentsch serves more along the lines of Lone Star beer, and that's OK.

We hope Rentsch is around a very long time. Lone Star is a great beer, and Rentsch has nailed the British versions of it.”

“I recently ate at this restaurant two times. First time I got a two meat plate with brisket and turkey, Aunt potato salad and brisket beans. The second time I got pulled pork sandwich and potato salad. And I have to say both times the food was excellent. My dad also really loved the turkey so we'll definitely be back for that again. The only issue that I have generally is they don't give you as much meat as some other local barbecues for about the same price. To be honest, the amount of meat that they gave you was plenty for me. But if you're a big eater, you may be disappointed by the portion sizes here. They generally give a quarter pound but they have rules that state that they cannot give less than that. So usually you'll get a little bit more. But at another barbecue place I ate at nearby I could get about twice as much meat for the same price.

Parking: There really is plenty of parking here, but unfortunately because it's attached to an HEB store, it's generally very very difficult to find open parking spaces, especially up near the front.

Kid-friendliness: They do not have any kids meal I am aware of.

Wheelchair accessibility: There are a few places up in the front of the parking lot, but it's very very difficult to find Open spaces since this barbecue store is also attached to an HEB store.”

Now you order your food at the counter and they bring your food to you in a plastic to go container. You have to pick up your own PLASTIC forks and napkins, and take them back to the table. The boxes they have chosen to put them in are incredibly difficult to open. The food is still really good but we will not be dining in the restaurant anymore. We might still get something to go but not near as often as we had been dining on site. Sad.”

“This was my 2nd time eating at Five Guys. The first time was years ago in a totally different city. But as far as this particular location (Georgetown) I will say the customer service was stellar. My order was shy of $20 and that was just for a plain and dry Grilled cheese with a patty and a large Cajun fry. Don't judge me, I'm really plain and simple when it comes to burgers. I honestly hated the fries and threw them into the disposal. They did give me a lot of fries and I mean alot. I got what I paid for with the fries. The fries were overly seasoned and a tad bit spicy. I just couldn't find a liking to them. The burger was good but not worth the amount that I paid. The burger was about the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. I will not ever eat at another Five Guys again simply because I can make my own food (I was just being lazy today) or I can go elsewhere and get the full benefit of the amount I paid. Again, the customer service was good and everyone seemed nice. The manger was doing an interview I believe when I was there but he took time to acknowledge my presence. Oh, the restaurant was pretty clean. I did end up waiting about 5 mins for my order since they were waiting on the fries to be completed. I had placed this order to go via online, so I'm glad I didn't wait long at all.”

“Took my parents to this location yesterday for their first Culver’s trip. I frequently ate at the Culver’s on Braker Ln in Austin when I lived here, but I now live in Seattle, and the closest Culver’s is an 8-hour drive. I therefore was hellbent on getting some Culver’s while I was here on my trip. This particular Culver’s is apparently brand new, and my parents live in nearby Sun City, so this worked out well. My parents enjoyed the food as much as I did/do, but it was so busy that I’m not sure they’ll go back. My plan is to highlight the drive-thru option in conversation. Please, Culver’s, open a Seattle-area location!”

“Always one of our go to places for pizza. It's different than other places and that is so refreshing. Best part? Watching your pizza being built before your eyes. There is no room for any mistakes this way. The oven that is used makes them just so tasty. Add in the ranch and the marinara side cups and you have a meal that can only be imported with that unbelievably luscious lemonade that is served.”

“I picked up dinner, so I can only speak to a couple things, but the employee who took the order in drive thru was super friendly, and sounded as if he was confident at what he was doing. Additionally, the food came to me as ordered, and hot! Sometimes, I feel like people are given “leftovers” as the food is cold and doesn’t taste fresh. However, that wasn’t the case here in Georgetown, off University Ave. I’m sure every place has its moments, but life is hard, and kindness, a smile, someone working to the best of their ability, always seems to make it a little better!”

“Denise greeted us with a smile and took great care of us. Ordered the covered hash brown cassarole and it came with a biscuit. Now I never have high hopes for a biscuit, especially being late, about 10:30a.m. for breakfast. When Denise put the plate down I could tell right away that this was a good, fresh biscuit. That there is already points. The hash brown cassarole wash great, better than CrackerB. It had just a hint of sage which is perfect for the fall and whispers Thanksgiving. Also took advantage of a waffle on the side to share at Denise's suggestion, and was happy I did. Huddle House is great, great food, great friendly service, easy off and on the interstate. Stop in, you won't regret it.”
