“Stopped by Hard Eight this weekend. By far the best BBQ I’ve had to date. This is coming from someone who has lived in the Southern East coast. Variety of different meats, pretty expensive but absolutely worth every penny. We purchased the brisket, ribeye, jalapeño and cheese sausage and sirloin. All was extremely juicy and not over cooked. Staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely come back!“

“Looking for a bbq sandwich near me in a city I’m not familiar with. Dickeys came up at the top of the list. A bit disappointed upon arrival to a gas station, but after tasting the pulled pork, bbq beans & banana pudding, I knew I’d be back for the food, not the ambiance. Absolutely heaven! They had cole slaw, broccoli salad, mashed potatoes & fries as well as brisket & pork. I found the prices to be very reasonable also! Yum!“

“I thought I had left a review before, but I guess I have not. My last visit was a few months ago. But this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall places you should not pass an opportunity to try. The meat is extremely tender and juicy. The sauces are not your typical flavors, but don't count them out, they perfectly complement the flavor profiles of the entrees. The portions are generous, and the sides taste homemade, really fresh and good. You're not going to beat the prices, especially for the BBQ meats. Try it all, you're not going to find a bad menu choice. Service was great and the atmosphere is pretty chill and down to earth. 10/10.“

“I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.“

“Solid place to feel like you're in Korea! The menu is small but straight forward and the servers all cook here for you by default. I took a back seat and enjoyed for once.

No substitutions for combos which is a bummer but understandable. Paejon is solid, brisket and pork belly were decent. Love the abundance of banchan here and can ask for more and sesame oil.“

This was the first experience my friend has ever been to HEB before and she thought the food was great and Donna was fabulous. Cameron is awesome.“

“One of my favorite places to eat outside. They have a huge outdoor area covered under the shade of trees and lights. The food is always delicious and hot. I always get the loaded cheese fries to start, and the charro beans as a side. The wait staff is very attentive. It is also dog friendly. The atmosphere is family friendly and my husband enjoys watching sports on the outdoor tvs.“

“This was my very first time dining at Manna Shabu & BBQ (Lewisville location) while visiting for a concert weekend, and I have to say—it was such a wonderful experience! They were even having a special collaboration with a local small business vendor for the Ateez concert and offering a complimentary Lemon Drop mocktail for each diner, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed. I believe it was the owner or manager who greeted me, and when he learned it was my first visit, he kindly explained the menu, the dining options, and where to find the different food and sauce stations. I was then shown to my table where a very sweet server brought me water and took my order. Throughout my meal, two other staff members as well as the owner/manager checked on me often. The service was beyond excellent—everyone was attentive, helpful, and genuinely kind. Now onto the food—oh my gosh, the portions were incredible! I ordered three different meats and was so pleasantly surprised at the generous serving sizes. At most KBBQ places, one order barely feels like enough for a single person, but here, each order was hearty and satisfying. I couldn’t stop raving about it to my boyfriend and mom while on the phone during my meal! The meat was fresh, high-quality, and delicious—even without dipping sauces. The corn cheese also deserves a special shout-out—it was honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Beyond the main dishes, there were so many great options: hot plates like mandu, sausage, japchae, fried rice, and chicken; a nice selection of banchan; an ice cream station for dessert; and a wide variety of sauces to complement everything. The restaurant itself was very clean, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and even the restrooms were spotless. I also loved that the TVs played some of my favorite K-pop groups and the music playlist was absolutely top tier—it really added to the fun vibe. Dining here as a solo traveler, I never once felt uncomfortable or out of place. On the contrary, I felt taken care of and treated like a queen. It was such a comforting and memorable experience, and I am so thankful for the outstanding hospitality and service I received.
