“Stopped to order take out went to pay and my order was ready when i got back to pick up. He was cutting up the meat so I know it was fresh, potatoe was huge, the right amount of sour cream chives and the brisket was soooo good. Food wasn't stopped together, was perfect. “As someone from the Mississippi Delta, I have a fairly high standard when it comes to BBQ (especially brisket and ribs). I groan when someone convinces me to try a spot that “has amazing brisket!” knowing that 19/20 times I am disappointed. I was in Lewisville, TX this week for work and was introduced to Sullivan’s as a place with “some really great BBQ and brisket” I am here to tell you, this bbq/brisket/ribs/sausage is not great… It is OUTSTANDING. The ribs/pork/sides etc. are all a 10/10 in my book… But that brisket…. That brisket is in a league of its own. Without a doubt the BEST brisket I’ve ever had. Perfect tenderness - beautiful smoke ring - exceptional bark - and flavor that is just unbelievable. Even then, with the exceptional quality of food, it pales in comparison to the hospitality of this place. When coming here for the first time, I was immediately treated as if I had been a regular visitor for 20 years. I’ve been 4 times now in 12 days and will surely be back before my return home. Sullivan’s is a prime example of what a local restaurant should and could be and I give my thanks and kudos to the owner and the amazing staff that make an experience like this possible.“

“Came down to Highpoint Performance Showcase in Pilot Point TX. We got hungry for some brisket! Found this fantastic place. Food was wonderful and delicious, not only that but the food came out fast! “I thought I had left a review before, but I guess I have not. My last visit was a few months ago. But this place is one of those hole-in-the-wall places you should not pass an opportunity to try. The meat is extremely tender and juicy. The sauces are not your typical flavors, but don't count them out, they perfectly complement the flavor profiles of the entrees. The portions are generous, and the sides taste homemade, really fresh and good. You're not going to beat the prices, especially for the BBQ meats. Try it all, you're not going to find a bad menu choice. Service was great and the atmosphere is pretty chill and down to earth. 10/10.“

The star of the show was undoubtedly Chef Avila, whose culinary expertise shone through with every dish recommended. The mac and cheese was a revelation – a creamy, cheesy delight with a perfectly crispy smoked toppings that provided just the right amount of textural contrast. It’s not just a side dish at Crosscut BBQ; it’s a main event in its own right. But let’s not forget the barbecue – the gently smoked turkey and pulled pork was flavorful and moist. Each bite was a testament to the skill and passion that goes into the cooking here. The veggie side dish lightly seasoned and very fresh. They have homemade pickles too! The service was top-notch, with Chef Avila personally ensuring that my meal was nothing short of perfect. I was speechless…. The food is so good. It’s clear that Crosscut BBQ isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a place where the love for good food and great company comes together in harmony. “Don’t think about it and just go! I have tried many other places, but Crazy BBQ is a memorable one. The selection is great, both the all you can eat and the a la carte menu. “Rudy’s BBQ in Frisco is truly a hidden gem—gas station BBQ at its absolute best. Whether I’m stopping in early in the morning or grabbing something quick later in the day, this place never disappoints. One of my favorite things to get is their brisket breakfast taco. The brisket is always tender, flavorful, and perfectly smoky, and they wrap it up in a warm tortilla that hits the spot every single time.
What really sets this Rudy’s location apart is how fast and efficient they are. Even when the line looks long, it moves quickly, and you’re never waiting more than a few minutes. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, which makes it an easy go-to when I want something delicious without spending a ton.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’d expect from a classic Texas BBQ joint—laid-back, friendly, and welcoming. Their iced tea is some of the best around, always fresh and perfectly brewed. And the fixings bar is great for customizing everything just the way you like it. I’m also a huge fan of their BBQ sauce; it has that perfect balance of tangy and slightly sweet that pairs amazing with their meats.

“I got the lunch special of 1 meat and 1 side as well as the lemon cake dessert. The brisket was very good in my opinion, perfect balance of fat and lean meat; loved the sauce that was on the side, it was very peppery but balanced with a slight sweetness. Comes with a side of toast and pickles and pickles onions that were also very delicious and good balance. The Mac and cheese was a semi disappointment due to it being spiral noodles but the cheese sauce and breadcrumbs really bring it back to being tasty. Lastly, the dessert, smoked lemon cake. It was hard to judge it, they forgot the berries so it was good but not quite up to par, the cake portion did not taste smoky, was very dense but still moist. Comes with this lemon drizzle/curd sauce that was very good. Worth a visit for the atmosphere and food, but if you're looking for solid BBQ I would give this place a pass and maybe go to hard 8, Hutchinsons or even maybe Loro if you're looking for something more modern.“

“Solid place to feel like you're in Korea! The menu is small but straight forward and the servers all cook here for you by default. I took a back seat and enjoyed for once.
No substitutions for combos which is a bummer but understandable. Paejon is solid, brisket and pork belly were decent. Love the abundance of banchan here and can ask for more and sesame oil.“

“Visited Dickey’s Barbecue Pit recently and was pleasantly surprised! The smoky chicken hits you the moment you walk in, and it sets the tone just right.\n\nI tried the Brisket Plate with mac & cheese and barbecue beans as sides. The brisket was tender, juicy, and had a great smoke ring—definitely the highlight. The mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, and the beans had a rich, hearty flavor. Their barbecue sauce adds just the right kick, especially the spicy one.“

“One of my favorite places to eat outside. They have a huge outdoor area covered under the shade of trees and lights. The food is always delicious and hot. I always get the loaded cheese fries to start, and the charro beans as a side. The wait staff is very attentive. It is also dog friendly. The atmosphere is family friendly and my husband enjoys watching sports on the outdoor tvs.“

“Stopped by Hard Eight this weekend. By far the best BBQ I’ve had to date. This is coming from someone who has lived in the Southern East coast. Variety of different meats, pretty expensive but absolutely worth every penny. We purchased the brisket, ribeye, jalapeño and cheese sausage and sirloin. All was extremely juicy and not over cooked. Staff were extremely helpful. Will definitely come back!“
