“Joe’s Out is connected to Joe’s In. Due to my schedule and my time in Richmond to see my son and his family, I’m always heading to Joe’s Out to grab amazing food and of course their fabulous Ice Cream! 9 out of 10 times I’m greeted by Austin, the young man that always smiles and provides you with great conversation and service. I can honestly say that I have never had better food and service from an establishment that caters to those of us that want to get hot tasty take out than Joe’s Out!

“Well researched food, solidly composed cocktails, and a warm interior make The Roosevelt one of the most talked about restaurants in RVA currently. Chef Leah is as much a researcher as she is a good chef. Being a long time food writer who has been on assignment in many kitchens, its no surprise to me that Leah has carved out a reputation for herself in Richmond recently. She sources a lot from local farmers, adheres often to seasonal common sense, and takes inspiration from her reading and research on Soul Food, Southern food, and Virginia food. I wouldn't classify prices at The Roosevelt as cheap but also wouldn't classify them as extravagant either. Marketed by many as a "neighborhood spot" I always see The Roosevelt as a great date night spot, particularly for those who might fancy themselves foodies. Congrats to Leah and The Roosevelt on their recent James Beard nod. In my opinion, well deserved.“

There are so many options for sweet and savory and my husband and I both found tasty options. The waffles are big and fully loaded, so I'd recommend ordering a half waffle and the specialty fraffle was very tasty as well.“

The food was absolutely amazing. From the calamari to steak and the lobster role, everything we had was delicious. A huge shout-out to our waiter, Robert, and Tristan, who made our dining experience fantastic!“

“We had dinner at Chef's Kitchen tonight, Feb. 21st. Our waiter Ben was amazing, as was the food. We started with the Burrata and Dumplings, both of which were mouth watering and glorious. My greatest fear is that those dumplings will haunt my dreams forever. I could probably eat them daily. I am telling you it was a religious experience. If not a religious experience then possibly a spiritual experience. I believe if Anthony Bourdain ate here he would have something pithy and wonderful to say. Something cultured and refined. For an entree we both had the braised duck gnocchi which was pillowy, creamy, and delicious. We paired the meal with a Cab Franc from barboursville which was decently priced and absolutely sublime. Give this place an opportunity. Eat here. My wife and I both agree that it is the best meal we have shared together in many years. Oh and ask for Ben and tip him well. He's the man.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. Fried green tomatoes and fried pickles were so good. I have struggled to find anywhere that has shrimp & grits, to my particular liking, since Lady Nawlins closed--I have to say, Charred's version really put me in the mind of my old fave! It was excellent! We got a hot Hawaiian pizza to go and that was super tasty, also! I will be back often, this might become my new lil go to spot based on the awesome cocktail variety! Sad it took me this long too check it out.“

“Today was my first time eating at the Village Cafe, and it was a stunning experience. The Rockfish and Chips were delicious, and I had no complaints about my meal. I also tried the iced tea, which was really good. The seating on the deck had a stunning view, and the waiters were very nice. “Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

She made me feel like I was the only one she had to serve and went above and beyond for all my needs and the needs for others not even in her section. The hookah was great and the drinks are pretty good and alil strong but I loved it! The food was good I got the wagyu sliders and the parm crusted lamb chops with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese but my only complaint is the Mac and cheese the cheese was a bit curdled and separated from the noodles and didn’t have any flavor but everything else was great!“

“A friends group from our Church went to the Heilman Dining Hall~ our first visit there. The staff was truly amazing ~ each staff member greeted us with a smile as they welcomed us. We were shown where every item was at, explained at eat hot bar what was available & what cook be cook personalized. The staff checked on us periodically through our meals. The hall was so nice that we stayed and visited from 11:00 am~ 2:00 pm we all are going to visit often and tell our family & friends … every food item was delicious. 150 % customer satisfaction“

A wonderful restaurant, filled with fantastic dining options and an incredible relaxing but yet monumental experience. From the historical decor to the finest detail of modern adaptions. The wait staff are very friendly. The food is a perfect texture and the seasonings compare very well to all their classic dishes.

The night club is also wonderful. A elegant twist on a raging night of fun. The vibe is always good and drinks are flowing. Even if there are some nights where few show up near holidays. The music is MOSTLY of electronic DJ mixes, could use a bit more variety. Definitely the most popular night club in richmond!“

The staff is very friendly and professional. We dad the burger and both my wife and I were so happy of our choice. It is really delicious.
