“I love getting food from here. Even when I am not shopping in Ranch 99 I would go there to get food and grab some groceries while waiting.

The owner is nice and the whole operation is very clean. I’d say it’s cleaner than 95% of the restaurants out there. The owner is one of those “OCD” types lol. When you tell him how much you want for the dry pot (by weight) he would get to that weight to the exact decimal point. I sometimes would tell him it’s ok to miss a bit I am just giving you an estimate. Also he is happy to cater your preference. I love lots of veggies in mine so I’d ask him to put more veggies than meat. He’d gladly to do anything like that.

It’s spicy but I never felt it’s too greasy and the flavor is great! It’s not just done with a sauce pack. You can see fresh garlic pieces in there too.

Definitely a hidden gem. Better than a typical vendor in a Chinese grocery store. I wish all Chinese restaurants can be run with this caliber.“

“First time trying out the restaurant based on recommendation of a friend for Szechuan Beef Noodle Soup. Have to admit, it was very nice balanced taste. It was different - not as bold - from my usual prefer spot in Fair Oak Mall, which closed after Covid. We also tried the beef stripe and had mixed feelings. It wasn't all stripes but mixed with marinated beef, and the dish was good. It just that we preferred all stripes. Our waitress was very helpful and sincere. Good experience. Will come back to try other dishes.“

“This place is incredible. I am not aware of any other luosifen noodle house in the area. If you, like me, are a newcomer to this style of noodle soup, you are going to be extremely impressed. The bone broth is bracing, complex, and flavorful, far richer and deeper than pho or tonkotsu. Recommend getting it spicy: it brings all the flavors together without being overwhelming. Additionally, the Sichuan menu is one of the best in the area, second only to Mama Chang's and Hong Kong Palace. This place is pretty new and trying to get its feet underneath it. “Our Monday night dinner group has come back here multiple times. The smell is wonderful immediately when you walk in. The host and all staff there are super friendly and always fun to chat with. Our waiter had our whole table laughing every time we engaged with him. Everyone's orders were perfectly cooked, nice sized portions and came out very quickly. I personally love the Malaysian Iced Coffee, Roti Canai and Chicken Satay. Our group had noodle dishes, beef, lamb, seafood....all was wonderful. Great for those who eat halal but also for those who don't want to feel bloated after a Chinese meal. “My family’s been coming to Empire for the last 20 years, even after we moved 30 min away, this is still our primary Chinese takeout spot. My biggest mistake was not leaving this review sooner. Food is always great, incredibly quick. Sure, prices have gone up but food cost doesn’t just affect consumers, it affects businesses too, so while not ideal, I get it. Yesterday, my buddy and I ordered some food for carry out on our way out of his storage unit. Come to find out, if you don’t leave by 9pm, they lock you in, literally. I called Empire back to tell them of the situation, and without hesitation, they offered to bring our food to us at the storage unit despite being 5 minutes to closing by the time we figured out that the police officer’s code wasn’t going to work (we thought we were gonna have to stay the night). Not only that, when he realized our situation, he went back out to a gas station to get us utensils to eat our food there *and* got us 2 drinks. We ended up getting out very shortly after, but it really stuck in my head that this is one of the nicest things a complete stranger has done for me. I didn’t need any other reason to keep coming to Empire, but this validates my love for this place and the people that run it. The best part is the food was still warm when we made it back home. Can’t thank the Empire team enough. 👍“

“The Extra Spicy Dry Hot Pot is insanely good. I get one of these every single time I come to Hot Peppercorn, and it hits just right every single time. I prefer it with pork, but you can get it with any pritein you prefer.

To be honest when I parked in the front I was skeptical but follow my willingness to discover new places but when I got in and received by a very kind staff and felt the yummy smell from the kitchen I thought it was going to be good!
