“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“Awesome brunch! This place is a hidden gem.True culinary delight.Everything tasted fabulous! Chessy grits were incredible. Steak was tender. Wings were winging. Resturant was clean and inviting. The fact that it was next to veterinarian clinic threw me off initially but all good. Its has a great bar with lots of TV's, for sports watching. This is distant to be one of my favs in Alexandria. Highly recommend and will be back!“

“Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“

“Having been coming here for the Southern Sparkler for years. Have always stayed with my usuals. One of us order Duck, the other the chicken. Those Gouda potatoes were the bomb. Dinner was a delight. Only disappointment was appetizer. The fried green tomatoes were lack luster. We would avoid them in future.“

“Had the Tropical Shrimp Salad sandwich on sourdough bread and a strawberry lemonade. It was incredibly fresh and delicious, with lots of shrimp and mango. The lemonade was the best I've ever had. If you are in the area, definitely check this place out.“

“Dining in Succotash was a pleasant experience. The interior is beautiful and the staff is friendly. As a fan of the Culinary Show, we are lucky to have tasted KY fried tofu and Ribeye Kalbi appeared on the show. I strongly recommend the Ribeye. It was very juicy and satisfying.“

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

There are many selections to choose from and all of which I’ve tried taste very good.

“It is a nice bar with good quality drinks. The weird part was that we had to wait quite a long time at the door and then were told to wait more until our reservation at 9pm. While we waited 3 other couples came in and were turned away as they did not have reservations… one couple was told to come after 45min. Then when we entered at 9pm the place was half empty with many free tables 🤷🏻♀ I guess they don't need clients and felt bad for couples who were told to leave despite being half empty…“

“The Sea Bass was a total suprise. More often than not I am dissapointed when I order fish. Not the case here. The presentation was superb. “Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“this was the best experience i had for my birthday and 1st time being here and Timothy was our server and he did an excellent job with his smiles and friendliness and our wonderful bartender Jay zehring was very friendly and kept the smiles going and both were fantastic so whenever you go in greet Timothy and Jay and the drinks were very very good and food was excellent. the whole crew was very friendly and kind and greeted you will lots of smiles and the place is well cleaned and if you have never been to manchester lakes in springfield please do so. i rate them 5 stars 🌟“

“Heard this place was great for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was so pleased with the ambience when seated; when looking over the menu, we felt certain we had been handed the wrong one because it was 11am and there were no brunch items to be found! But sadly, there is only this one menu regardless of day or timing. Very disappointing!! We pieced together some soup and appetizers as a “brunch” meal; the food was very good and our waitress very kind. However, we did send our comments to the chef expressing dismay that a brunch spot offered zero menu items that were even close to being considered brunch options!“
