“this was the best experience i had for my birthday and 1st time being here and Timothy was our server and he did an excellent job with his smiles and friendliness and our wonderful bartender Jay zehring was very friendly and kept the smiles going and both were fantastic so whenever you go in greet Timothy and Jay and the drinks were very very good and food was excellent. the whole crew was very friendly and kind and greeted you will lots of smiles and the place is well cleaned and if you have never been to manchester lakes in springfield please do so. i rate them 5 stars 🌟“

“We walked in 45 minutes before our reservation and they accommodated us. Their Martini's and Old Fashioned's were impeccably prepared. We had Steak Tartare, Chorizo Dumplings, and Blackened Cod. They each had unique and unexpected flavorings that challenged any preconceived ideas we had, they were each unique and the flavor profiles worked across them. “If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.“

“We had never tried Afghani food before, and I am so glad we did. The staff was so friendly and helpful with any questions we had. They recommended the Mini Taste of Arocostia for our first time. Everything was FANTASTIC!!! The food was cooked perfectly. The service was great! We never had to ask to have our beverages filled up, because they were already on top of it before we had to ask. They packed all our leftovers into boxes for us for our way home. We will definitely be going back!“

“I’m a big fan of this micro business. The place is 50% wine shop 50% curio shop and 50% wine bar. That’s 150% and it’s totally correct. Zena the proprietor is a real hoot. She is incredibly knowledgeable about wine without being at all stuffy. The small selection o bottles offered here for retail sale are expertly curated by her. She knows each bottle intimately and can talk knowledgeably with a wine snob or a mere drunkard.

The real star of the show are her homemade desserts. She does a take on Little Debbie oatmeal snack cakes that is very nearly orgasmic. The chocolate cake is also a star. Try something from the dessert menu and you won’t be disappointed.

The curio shop has wine themed merchandise ranging from the witty to outright bawdy. You will find decanters, rubber ducks, and funny towels. Plus, she has an excellent selection of chocolates.

“What a nice dinner! We were hesitant as my idea was to go to the Red Hen opposite the street, but I’m glad we did. Sitting on the terrace on a summer night was very pleasant (but bring a repellent). The waiter (Terry) was super friendly and relaxed, made a great pasta recommendation. The puttanesca fettuccine were indeed a treat, everything homemade and perfectly balanced, with a kick from the pepper flakes. The price is reasonable and we will gladly be back.“

“We stay at this Ritz-Carlton location from time to time, and Entyse is a focal point of those visits. It’s an all-day operation, and indeed the only dining option on-property. The bartenders and wait staff are highly attentive, personable, and quick to remember your preferences. There’s usually a decent crowd, and on weekends there’s live music ranging from jazz piano to a classic hits band.

While it is definitely a lounge first and a restaurant second, there is a decently extensive menu for each breakfast, lunch and dinner with a number of tempting options. There’s also a bar menu that’s served all day and until midnight daily, which is a godsend for the weary traveler arriving late in the evening.

So many places close early in this post-Covid era that it’s great to see a proper hotel bar open late nightly.

Oh, and if you’re a wine person like I am, you’ll certainly enjoy the 25+ options offered by the glass. Although we are guests of the hotel, it’s easy to see why so many locals frequent this lounge too.“

“Truly a hiddent jewel south of Old Town Alexandria. If I had been blindfolded and didn't know that I entered the establishment via the parking lot of Belle View Shopping Center I would have thought I was in an upscaled restaurant in downtown DC. This has become our favorite date night spot. Delicious food options and creative cocktails along with exceptional service (Brett) made our evening one to remember. I love a well made Old Fashioned and I wasn't disappointed. The secret ingredient of the quarter branch apple brandy took it to next level. We are looking forward to our next date night already!“
