“I would rate Old Peking Restaurant a solid 4 stars overall. My experience here has been consistently positive, with standout dishes including their seafood soup, lo-mein, and beef with green onions and several seafood selections. Not only are the prices reasonable, but I also believe it's one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. One aspect that truly sets Old Peking apart is their exceptional dining experience. The atmosphere is perfect for group gatherings, with a cozy and toned-down theme in the dining area. Unlike many other Chinese restaurants, the ambiance here strikes a balance between welcoming and refined, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and a possibly special occasion.Additionally, I appreciate the quiet atmosphere, which allows for comfortable conversation without feeling too casual. It's a refreshing change from the hustle and bustle of some other establishments.Overall, I've thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Old Peking Restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone craving delicious Chinese cuisine in a relaxed yet refined setting. Whether you're dining solo, with a group, or celebrating a special occasion, Old Peking is sure to impress.“
“I was craving Chinese food, and I looked for the highest rated place within a half hour of my house. It was worth the 20 minute drive, best carry out Chinese food I have had in years. Very nice. Family owned restaurant. I will definitely be back.“
“Our server Jenny S.was absolutely OUTSTANDING. She gave her honest opinion about the dishes we were thinking of ordering and even recommended others for us to try instead. Everything she recommended was a 10/10 would ALWAYS recommend. I am now fully in love with this gem of a restaurant, it’s unbelievable service and fantastic cuisine. Jenny S. you are such a beautiful human and I hope this reviews makes you smile ☀️.“
“We were craving spicy noodles and this place didn't disappoint. The Chongqing noodles were spicy and full of peanuts, the cold noodles my colleague ordered were full of vegetables. We also tried the spicy pork soup dumplings and the normal pork soup dumplings and both were great. I especially loved the chili oil on the table.“
“Yu Noodles in Herndon is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get! I recently had the pleasure of dining here and was blown away by the incredible flavors and quality of the dishes. The steamed shrimp dumplings were a standout for me, perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. They were an absolute delight to eat the freshness of the shrimp combined with the delegate dumpling wrapper made for a truly memorable appetizer.Don't even get me started on the seafood noodle soup. It was out of this world. The broth was flavorful with hints of seafood essence that elevated the dish to a whole new level. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the generous portion of seafood made each bite a heavenly experience.Overall, Yu Noodles is a must visit for anyone in the Herndon area. Whether you're craving dumplings or noodle soup, this is the real deal. You won't be disappointed by the delicious offerings at this fantastic restaurant. I will definitely be back!“
“This is a long overdue review I've been meaning to post, but my husband and I went to PF Chang's about a week ago and we were blown away. The food was great, but the service was even better. Our waiter, Erick, was amazing. He was so patient and helpful; we will definitely be returning to this location. Also, there was a manager who knew we were there for the first time and was very welcoming to us. 1000/10 recommend“
“I put in an Uber One order and the food was prepared quickly and packaged securely. I was anticipating trying their famous sweet & sour pork (my favorite) , but. I really didn’t like the taste of the sauce. Very disappointing. It was very different from what I’m used to. The fried pork was breaded with glutinous flour? It was good! The sauce lacked sourness, but was too sweet for my taste. It tasted like soy sauce and honey. Maybe, I had a bad batch? The fried rice was good! I will revisit another time and try something else.“
“This is a great affordable option for Chinese food in the area! The space is bright and relatively open, the staff is kind and very efficient, and the food came out very quickly. While it is great for the price point, the food wasn't very memorable. The yibin spicy dry noodles were packed with flavor but a tad oily, so the cucumber side dish we got was a great pairing. There aren't too many veggie options just as an FYI! The pork soup dumplings were good but nothing spectacular. They weren't very hot when they came out, and they didn't have too much soup in them.“
“Food was top notch, and the place was very clean. Only thing is that the portions they give are rather small for a party of multiple people- we had four people in our party, (occasionally, it’s not enough for everyone to just take one), but we just ordered more with the all-you-can-eat system. You can order 3 items from each category at a time. Prime ribeye, brisket, squid, fish balls, shrimp balls are really good. Other items are delicious too. We love our shabu2, tom yum, and sichuan mala soup. Dipping sauce are also very good, especially the hot spot one.“
“Tasty Dumpling is a top tier quick dumpling place to get your Asian dumpling fix - I’d argue their dumplings are better than some fancy restaurants! Their steamed dumplings especially the pork are fantastic. We will be back often to try the whole menu. There are places inside to sit.Dietary restrictions: Tofu and vegetarian options plus great for those going dairy free“
“Great, friendly service! I had a lot of questions about the food and they answered patiently. Food was sooo good. My first Bing impressions: delightful and satisfying. Rose milk tea was divine as well. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for a great experience.“
“The food was very good and happy that everything was halal. However, the service is genuinely awful. Kept forgetting order, didn’t write it down, some meals took so long to come out, weren’t attentive. I could go on but I will stop there. I liked most of the dishes ordered but the duck wraps were not the best.“
“After some less than stellar Chinese food locally, I hadn't had any for a long time. Then we celebrated Lunar New Year with friends with takeout from this restaurant and everything was delicious! I am now obsessed with their sesame balls that include peanuts. So good. And the woman who took the order could not have been sweeter. It's nice to finally have a go-to spot again for when we're in the mood for Chinese... we'd long ago found area favorites for Thai (Kiin Imm), Indian (Bansari), and Mexican (Taco Bamba!).“
“Chili Wok is so good that I came here twice in a row. For Day 1, I came with my boyfriend, and got the crispy golden mountain beef and sweet and sour chicken, both of which were so flavorful, and close to authentic Chinese food. Portions were great for being under $15. The server was really nice and offered to move our table, so that we wouldn't be close by the door on a cold day. The crispy beef is so much better here, and I used to think that my general chinese takeout place was the best. I came back here the next day, and got the ganghood chicken and chow mein. The chow mein was cut really nicely, and succulent supported by the sauce. However, if you want to get the ganghood chicken, I would recommend getting it by yourself as, when you bite into the chicken, it will have a palate-cleansing effect that makes you feel like you are going to another dimension, and may affect how you taste other foods. The ganghood chicken is nicely crisp, and I love how the flounder roll doesn't have a super fishy smell or taste, which made it feel like ordering a regular chicken spring roll.I definitely hope to come back here again.“
“Love eating here for hot pot! Lots of options and good soup base! They have an iPad at each table where you can order and call for the server (aka introvert friendly).Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian soup bases and lots of vegetables.“
“Basically a carry out place, no seating for dine in. Great prices, good food, and friendly people working there. We order on a weekly basis. I'd stick with the basic meat dishes such as chicken and beef, because their cooking is consistent.“
“This is a nice, local spot with great service and prices. We had a really attentive and sweet waiter named Ping who made sure we had enough of every portion of the dinner special. He even gave us extra doughnuts at the end! I ordered the Kung Pao Bean Curd, which had some heat but wasn’t very spicy. It had a lot of flavor and a balance of texture.“
“Authentic Chinese flavors! If you’re craving yummy rice noodles, Yanzi House has tons of great options. We tried the pork and mushroom and beef flank options. Both were tasty. I haven’t had thick rice noodles like these since living in China. Be sure to also get the beef burrito and calimari. This was all so good! We’ll be back!“
“Finally a good Chinese restaurant! Super affordable and quick service. The cucumbers and potstickers are a must have. Spicy beef noddle soup was pretty good. My partner got the rice and pork chops which were the most tender and well seasoned I’ve had in a while. I don’t love the scallion pancakes because they were a little too thick to my liking. You can tell everything is home made with love.“

“We were out and decided we wanted Chinese food and found this spot so stopped over. The owner, great. So friendly and while we waited for our food, we noticed she knew everyone coming in! We asked to alter our meals a bit and she said SURE! She was more than happy to accommodate to make the customer happy. Such great customer service and food was delicious. Well be back.“
“I have a love/hate relationship with this place. When it comes to events, everything is at the lobby once you walk in and it's filled with neon lights, a dimly lit bar full of many offerings of alcohol you can get, a few small sections for VIP for your friends, and usually a DJ playing their music. There's open karaoke as well but I don't know if people sing often in the lobby. So I have been here many times for my friends and even booked a room as well. Rooms are spacious and they do have pretty nice audio. But there is one thing that truly irks me every time I come here. So they have a touch screen where you can add your karaoke songs through YouTube or through their system but getting the videos to load is a pain. It's annoying to deal with because it skips to the next song in queue so if you are with a group of 5+ more people, it can be very stressful. The worst part is we asked the staff about it and they aren't really sure what to do about the connection. I mean they should really fix that because I'm sure it gets people upset. No one wants their song to be skipped. Aside from that, you can also hear the loudness from other rooms, I don't expect that to be an issue but it's noticeable on busy nights. If you do plan to go here, there's one thing I highly advise before going. Check their socials if they are hosting any event and call ahead to know about the room rates. The website shows their original flat rates for the room but in events, they raise the prices up. If you go in person, check the menu before deciding to put your money down. This place also adds gratuity to the bill so be prepared to drop down a lot. While I frequently come back here just to hang out with friends, karaoke is one of my favorite hobbies. Its never a good time when your song doesn't get played or you get charged way more than you should.“
“I love Hunan Taste! I have been ordering regularly for about 6 months now and it is ALWAYS delivered fresh, fast, and delicious. The hot and sour soup is hearty and so good, I also get the tofu sesame and my wife loves the general tsos chicken.“
“I love the single family sized burner tables to keep small children away from hot surfaces. I also like being able to sample two broths (spicy, mild). Our server was very family friendly and that is why I recommend bringing your family to this restaurant. This restaurant fills up fast so I recommend arriving early or late to beat the crowd. I think we got the last parking spot in Stryker mall. There were three guys blocking my car upon departure but they moved upon request. We came hungry and left very full.“
“My family and I were heading west from DC after a long day of sight seeing. We were on the hunt for Chinese food similar to what we had in TX.After looking at reviews for Peking Pavilion, we opted to try this place out. When we walked in, we were greeted with friendly faces. They sat us within 5 minutes of arriving. When we ordered, our food was hot and delicious. It reminded us of home. It has been a difficult journey in finding an egg drop soup that really gave you a flavor punch. But this soup did just that. It had the right amount of thick consistency you would expect from the soup. The dishes were flavorful and contained the right amount of spice. We ordered vegetarian dumplings, which I highly recommend!“
“Ordered for delivery. This place wasn't on my radar near my home, I don't know why! This place is amazing. The only restaurant so far that knows how to make crab rangoons right. It's hard to find good Chinese food in this area. Give it a try, it's good!“
“When we don't want to cook this is our go to. The staff, owners are as great as the food...so friendly! The brussel sprouts are amazing...as is the tofu garlic sauce. My husband loves the egg rolls and general tso's chicken. Food is fresh and delicious!“
“I went to this based on a Facebook Foodie group recommendation. I concur with their assessment that this place is good.If you want no frills traditional American Chinese takeout, this is the spot. There are only two tables in there, so there's not really a place to eat at unless you have a quick lunch break or go solo.Prices are fair, portions are good, and food tastes great. We had tried 4 dishes: Singapore noodles, eggplant with garlic sauce, Kung pao, and lo mein. They were all good. Food was packed well.I like it. ??“
“Duck Chang's has been a fixture in Annandale for half a century or so. I remember going to it as a little kid with my parents, and now I still go with my family. The food is very good, especially (as you might expect) the duck dishes. The location in a little strip mall might put you off, but the food is great!“
“All dishes are good, even though some well known Chinese dishes are not cooked the authentic way. You can have sushi if you are not used to Chinese food. Their Sushi is above average comparing to good Japanese restaurants. Good value place to go.“
“Pleasantly surprised with how good the food was. The iron pot rice with chicken sausage was excellent. The rice was cooked perfectly and not overpowered by soy sauce. What's nice is the menu offers more hard core Chinese dishes in a way that many in the US could appreciate. The flounder in numbing sauce is an example. This is not a dish you'll see on most Chinese menus in suburbia US. It is a good choice and had interesting flavors without being too odd. The steamed bronzino is another example of a good balance of flavors and not masking the taste of the fish. The restaurant is nicely decorated and provided a good environment for a meal with friends.“
“The Sichuan Legend Hotpot and more is new a management. They take care of their guests like family, Nicole our server is very sweet. The ambiance, food and service is wonderful. Their menu consists of hotpot and more. We tried the hotpot and loved it, will definitely come back and try the rest of the menu. Thank you and keep it up. ??“
“My all-time favorite Korean-style Chinese restaurant in DMV. Food is consistently good, excellent quality with superb taste, very generous portions, reasonable price, and attentive service from the staff. The delicious Korean staples are Jja-jang-myon (black bean noodles) and Ttang-su-yuk (Fried pork with sweet sauce). Steam dumplings and Yang-Jang-pi (seafood and vegetables with mustard sauce) are tasty. The decor needs to be updated and feels a bit old.Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant.Parking: This restaurant has a parking lot for customers.“
“Wow! I was impressed with this Chinese food establishment in McLean. Looking for Chinese style food Yelp again proved its value and the great ratings are well warranted though a bit dated. I generally find Chinese food to be a "craving" rather than a well planned meal but this food was so surprisingly good! Not too much sauce, great looking though sparse fresh vegetables , and noodles not soggy with oil, chicken thst was cooked to perfection. I was really really surprised and pleased. Oh, prices were incredibly reasonable. It's a tiny place with maybe 2 tables so definitely a take out place. Lack of vegetables and small dining area was the minus one star but for Chinese places this is a definite go-to! I'll be back!!“
“Really good spot overall. In a sea of overpriced and overrated places this place stands out with quality food and a good price. The place itself isn’t extravagant and not everything on the menu will blow you away but there are defiantly some standouts and a place worth trying.“
“Chinese delivery in this area seems to have many mediocre places so it's hard to decide which one to order from. I had the shrimp lo mein and it was a large portion of hot and fresh food with lots of tasty properly cleaned shrimp. Delivery was fast and friendly even though we're a ways away from their location. I enjoyed my meal and will order from here again next time I want to order Chinese delivery.“
“This place is known for its generous portions. The food is overall good, but not the best I've had in other similar places. I recommend Jajangmyeon (Black bean sauce noodles), which is tasty. The atmosphere and service are good in general.“
“This is a pretty decent chinese restaurant in a small mall area on fairfax. We ate here a couple of times, and the servers are very friendly- but we ordered takeout the most though and the food never disappoints. They are also pretty nice about adjusting menu items like asking for "tomato with egg" when it's not on the menu and also making some small changes to dishes. Definitely a great place if you want some traditional Chinese dishes in addition to the usual takeout chinese american foods. I would say their Uber eats prices are the same as dine in prices, so you won't be saving much pick up yourself, though.“
“I was traveling from out of town and this restaurant was recommended to us for take out, plus it was close to our hotel. I have to say I was impressed with the taste of the food! The Gen Taos Chicken was slammin! The crab rangoons were amazing! Great crunch and very creamy filling! Was not too impressed with the wanton soup. Only 3 wantons in pint of soup and they were very firm/dense. In addition, portions for entrees was very small for the price. Normally when I order Chinese food, you can share with others and that was not the case with their entrees. If you are hungry, it is just enough for one. They seemed more like a lunch size special at a dinner version price. This would have been a 5 star if not for the soup and the portion size.“
“So, my wife and I ducked back into Hot Peppercorn Restaurant, dodging raindrops and craving that kind of warmth only good food and good company can provide. Last time we were here, it was a big group hangout, and the place absolutely nailed it - every dish was a hit, proving that Hot Peppercorn wasn't just a one-hit wonder. This time around, it was just the two of us on a classic rainy evening, looking for that perfect food hug. We kicked things off with fried calamari. Let me tell you, it was like the opening act that gets you hyped for the main event. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, it was the calamari of dreams. Then came the seafood hotpot, the kind of dish that makes you wonder why all food can't be this comforting and delicious. We got adventurous and added an extra bowl of rice because, why not? By the end, we were stuffed in the best way possible, all for a cool $31.The vibe of Hot Peppercorn? Imagine the warmest, most welcoming place you know, then add some awesome real plants and a mini live koi tank for that extra touch of home. It's the kind of spot that's not just about the meal but the whole experience - from the genuinely friendly staff who've got this uncanny ability to know what you need before you do, to the cozy ambiance that makes you want to linger longer.Hot Peppercorn is more than just a restaurant; it's a reminder of how great it feels to be taken care of, to enjoy a meal that's been crafted with care, and to just soak in the good vibes. It's the kind of place that proves, yet again, that the best meals aren't just about the food on your plate but the memories you make while eating it.“
“Comparing apples to apples, this is a tiny takeout spot with a few eat-in tables. If you want to grab and go, it's one of the better area choices when it comes to Chinese food. Pretty good flavor and good quality ingredients, and doesn't skimp on the protein ingredients. And it's fast“
“Conveniently located near Loews and Burlington in Fairfax, this Korean-style Chinese restaurant serves good Jjajangmyeon (Black bean noodles) and Tangsuyook (Fried pork with sweet sauce) that are generously proportioned. The decor is a bit old, but it is a good restaurant to visit when you crave these dishes.“
“The owner has turned a typical take out place into a cozy family restaurant with lovely Christmas decorations and actual heating (can't say how many restaurants still blow cold air onto your food in winter), felt warm and welcomed dining here. We ordered their lunch special, drunken noodle and basil fried rice with chicken, both were superb. Fresh ingredients, with the right amount of spicy, full of Thai flavors. We didn't have to wait long for the dishes either. The server was courteous and attentive. Will be back to try their other dishes~“
“Had a great authentic meal here! Food arrived quickly and service was friendly. Favorite dishes: Mashed pepper, preserved egg, and eggplant app was unique and refreshing. Stir fried beef (chef special) was cooked perfectly. Very tender beef Reservations: you might need a reservation if you go around 7pm. We went on a Sunday at 6pm, and were seated immediately. After 6:30 all the tables were filled. Fyi, your clothes will probably smell strongly of Sichuan peppercorns when you leave. So just beware.“
“Food was absolutely delicious and well presented. Ambiance in the restaurant was fine- we sat along the side with a slightly raised floor that had a clear visual with shells and sand. That was interesting. The only concern I had was the slow service- this is a problem basically everywhere but it took a long time to get our lunch. The servers checked on us regularly to tell us our order was coming soon, but it took nearly an hour. Worth the wait, but glad we had an open afternoon.“
“Ordered a beef lo mein literally right before they closed. The kind lady at the cashier was so kind and pleasant. Thank you and the Chef so much. I wish I had taken a picture of the lo mein but it was so good I had to eat it all. Happy Holidays to you. Thank you!“
“I went to chopstick over 6 months ago and wasn't impressed. Recently I went in and noticed the decor is a lot nicer and the staff is extremely friendly. I also noticed there is some authentic Szechuan dishes on their menu and decided to take a chance. Well, I'll have to say they are legit! The Szechuan food tasted authentic and at a very reasonable price. Will definitely go back!“
“Jangwon in Centreville is an absolute gem for lovers of Korean cuisine. Their jajangmyeon is hands down the best in the area, with perfectly cooked noodles smothered in a rich and flavorful black bean sauce that leaves you craving more with every bite. But that's not all - their spicy jjamppong is a true standout. The broth has a subtle smokey flavor that adds depth to the dish, and the combination of seafood and vegetables creates a harmonious balance of flavors and textures. And let's talk about their tang su yuk - the portions are huge! Crispy, tender pieces of meat coated in a sweet and tangy sauce make for a satisfying and indulgent meal that's perfect for sharing (or not!). With delicious food and generous portions, Jangwon never disappoints. Whether you're craving comforting classics like jajangmyeon and jjamppong or looking to indulge in tang su yuk, this restaurant is a must-visit for Korean cuisine enthusiasts in the area.“
“I love mala tang and any food made with mala base. I tried several places in DMV area and this is the BEST. I loved their rich, flavorful mala tang with lots of ingredients in it. Some place comes with very little amount of veggies/meat with huge amount of yam/roots, but this place give good amount of meats and veggies to enjoy. This is definitely my goto place and can't get enough of it.“
“I’ve been having hunan tasty for over 20 years now, usually once a month. I usually get delivery, and continue to be impressed with their delivery service, as the driver is really nice, even calling our phone if we don’t hear the doorbell, and dropping off the food on our porch with a smile. The general tso’s chicken here is really good, as well as their chow fun. Egg drop soup is great, although sometimes they make it a bit too salty. The crispy beef tends to be hard at times, but still has some good flavor. The lady who takes our order is pretty quick with the ordering process, using the phone number to help find our address faster. Very professional, and offers us great deals such as a free spring roll.Overall, I highly recommend Hunan Tasty.“
