“Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“A sheer delight! Every single detail was a fresh surprise. The chef, hosts, cooks, and servers were fabulously attentive. The decor was completely custom and provided a fresh ocean-side vibe. The atmosphere was calm and sophisticated. But the food! What an amazing menu! The flavors, textures, presentation, and quality of the food were elegant, creative, and delicious! I will plan to go back often! Our friends were offered amazing wine and champaign pairings. We enjoyed 6 courses including tune ceviche, braised tuna and sea weed, scallops atop a corn/salmon patty, flounder with a crab sauce served on succotash, mushroom ravioli with hanger steak, and pannetoni with pineapple and mint.“

Ambiance was great; the building is an old school movie theatre. Both the food and service we're amazing; Jessica was handling her business!“

“Absolutely fantastic service and food. From oysters, main course, and dessert...the meal was fabulous. I have several food allergies and the chef made a special meal for us on my birthday. Highly recommend! (side note: I dropped my napkin when stepping out to the powder room and the staff promptly had a fresh and folded one waiting upon return). “Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“My teenage niece and I had a blast playing the new mini golf holes! The space theme inside is really cool, the topiary animals outside are neat and all the holes are quirky and fun! We played twice and had a nice lunch in between.“

“What a hidden gem this place is. My wife and I came in on the day we got married (8/19/25) and everyone was extremely kind and friendly. The wait times for drinks and food were minimal, and our waitress Anya (hope that spelling is correct) was stellar. The food was some of the best I have had in Richmond by far. “We stopped here based on a friends recommendation and he was spot on. Staff were friendly and attentive! The atmosphere is really cool with hanging sound dampeners with plants as well. The Bar is huge with a great selection. We ordered the pork rind nachos.. oh Yum. They came out crackling and popping with pulled pork and spicy jalapeños and cheese sauce. My Dinner was their Crab cakes - deliciousness light and fluffy and oh the Brussel sprouts with the pork belly were Great! The wife had a short rib appetizer for her dinner and it was fall apart yummy. Her Mac and cheese was great too - it was the heaviest Mac n cheese I have ever had. The our son got the Shrimp and Grits. He said they were great and the grits were really cheesy too. Thank you for a great dining experience! We shall return when we are down this way again.“

“First time visiting and wanted to try something different. I was very surprised with the lamb chops because they were very tender and perfectly seasoned accompanied with stone ground Cajun grits. The hospitality by Neco and Ki will absolutely bring us back and glad we made this decision. Please know it’s a small, quaint and intimate place, but the right choice!!!“

“The restaurant was very open and spacious with a full bar. I thought it might be very noisy because of the incredibly tall ceilings, but it wasn't. Service was prompt and efficient, our order of chicken sandwich and beet salad arrived promptly. Both were good quality and quantity roughly $15 each. Great beer, wine and cocktail selection. Wasn't impressed with the rib egg roll, they were popular though. Street parking could be a challenge during peak dining hours.

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.

“This place is amazing. Last week, I ordered one of their bowls and took home ramen for my husband. He loved it so much that we went back this weekend. Even the kids ate the food (manic and cheese and plain ramen noodles), which almost never happens. The staff was super accommodating with our requests to adjust the order for the kiddos. We also loved the patio and ate outside while it rained, so that was cool too. Two thumbs up from us 👍👍😊“

“Found Dinamo quite by accident. A Richmond-centric publication mentioned Dinamo as an aside in relation to another restaurant that had since closed. When we discovered Dinamo was still open (later evening) we decided to give it a whirl. The whirling airplane prop in the front window indicated that, at the very least, things would be not boring. We were coming in towards the end of service and were nonetheless greeted with warmth. Firstly, the bread got me baking again. No small feat. They were out of the T-Bone, which is what both of us were aiming for, and recommended the chicken. I dont like chicken. This chicken was amazing. Im still thinking about the bread and the beans. “This restaurant keeps getting better and better. The scallop crudo was inventive and delicious. I asked the server if the yuzu could be left out (medication issue) and was pleasantly surprised that the chef could substitute lime. The mussels in coconut broth were delicious and I appreciated that the bread that came with it was grilled on a wood fire lending it a smoky flavor. Service was attentive and accommodating. Noise level was fine for conversation.“

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“The food was delicious. Make sure you wait at the front. The hostess caught a bit of an attitude because they had removed their 'Please wait to be seated sign', and I walked in and went to sit down. The breakfast has was gluten free and absolutely scrumptious. Great atmosphere. Good coffee.
