“Caught up with an old friend I hadn’t seen since around ’95/’96 over lunch on 6/17/2025. I’m not usually a downtown Richmond person—city crowds just aren’t my thing—but I’m really glad he suggested this spot. I made the drive from King William, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was fantastic, and the laid-back atmosphere made it the perfect place to reconnect. I had the pork carnitas with a Caesar side salad—super flavorful, and the pork was incredibly tender. The Caesar dressing? Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. I’d love to know if it was homemade or store-bought, because I need it in my life! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxed and cool meeting spot. I’m already planning to explore more RIC gems soon!“

“This place checked almost all my boxes for brunch spots;a variety of Benny's, specialty cocktails especially ones with flowers, moonshine, and sparkling, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy; stuffed French toast, and avocado toast. Ambiance was great; the building is an old school movie theatre. Both the food and service we're amazing; Jessica was handling her business!“

“Absolutely fantastic service and food. From oysters, main course, and dessert...the meal was fabulous. I have several food allergies and the chef made a special meal for us on my birthday. Highly recommend! (side note: I dropped my napkin when stepping out to the powder room and the staff promptly had a fresh and folded one waiting upon return). “My teenage niece and I had a blast playing the new mini golf holes! The space theme inside is really cool, the topiary animals outside are neat and all the holes are quirky and fun! We played twice and had a nice lunch in between.“

“Food was average at best. Out of everything including a cook. Actually closed the kitchen for about 30 minutes because cook was at end of shift and no one there to replace him. They are listed as a Priority Pass discounted restaurant and when asked, they looked at me like I was crazy. No clue.“

“Went for “Low-Tide” Happy hour at 5:45-6:30, but stayed til 7:30pm at bar top table. 3 of us. Service from Sydney was fantastic. Food was hot, high quality, and fairly quick. Service was attentive, unpretentious and warm. Modern vibes, clean restrooms, and food and service was a notch above most places in RVA. Nicely done. Will be back again.“

“Another great experience at L'Opossum. We're never disappointed here and there's always something new to try. The starters, yellowfin crudo and a root vegetable soup, were both fantastic. Our mains, lamb belly roulade and daikon "scallop" pho were both good. Our server was attentive and explained everything, he was very engaging.“

“This place has a great atmosphere and the staff is wonderful. We were just driving through Richmond and decided to stop here for a bite. My husband had the brisket sandwich which he said was fantastic. I had the trainwrek that was so large and outstanding I couldn’t finish it and have leftovers. The food is fresh and has exquisite flavor! If I’m ever in Richmond again I will be returning.“

-To me it's an intimate venue as you are close to the stage.
-They do have a bar on both levels.
-Parking can be tricky. Suggest arriving early to secure a good parking spot around the area.
-Staff is nice every time.“

“We came in for a late lunch and each had a huge sandwich - a plus that they offered gf bread! The food was good, but we were most impressed by our bartender, Shelby. A bartender who can offer drinks on the fly based on what you like is a rarity these days, and Shelby did not disappoint! A great spot for a bite and creative drinks.“

“This place is amazing. Last week, I ordered one of their bowls and took home ramen for my husband. He loved it so much that we went back this weekend. Even the kids ate the food (manic and cheese and plain ramen noodles), which almost never happens. The staff was super accommodating with our requests to adjust the order for the kiddos. We also loved the patio and ate outside while it rained, so that was cool too. Two thumbs up from us 👍👍😊“

“Found Dinamo quite by accident. A Richmond-centric publication mentioned Dinamo as an aside in relation to another restaurant that had since closed. When we discovered Dinamo was still open (later evening) we decided to give it a whirl. The whirling airplane prop in the front window indicated that, at the very least, things would be not boring. We were coming in towards the end of service and were nonetheless greeted with warmth. Firstly, the bread got me baking again. No small feat. They were out of the T-Bone, which is what both of us were aiming for, and recommended the chicken. I dont like chicken. This chicken was amazing. Im still thinking about the bread and the beans. And the chicken. The Tiramisu was just, simply, decadent. Service, ambiance, food, hospitality…. Cant wait to return Dinamo. We added the“

“Definitely 5 stars! Me and my daughter went for brunch, a pitcher of Mimosas and the best breakfast I've ever had. My daughter ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were so good, almost like a she-crab bisque flavor gravy-absolutely wonderful. I ordered the chicken biscuit, was also wonderful, the hot honey with the fresh homemade Bisquit was so flavorful. No wait to be seated, the waitstaff was very friendly. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back!“

“I had dinner there last night for the first time with several friends. I was a little apprehensive due to (what I thought) was a limited menu and seating. Wow… was I wrong. Truly one of the best dinner entrees I’ve had in a long time. I had the Duck Breast. It was perfectly cooked and presented, slightly under medium rare with crispy skin, perfectly rendered. Very impressive!! My tablemates had Sea Bass (2) and Snapper. We all shared tastes of each other meals and all of them were very nice. Limited tables, but very comfortable and a beautiful bar that seats 8. We’ll be back“
