“I was craving some authentic Bangladeshi-style Chinese and Japanese flavors, and I had already tried so many places—but nothing really satisfied my taste buds. Then I visited Flame Japanese Hibachi, and in one word: AWESOME! 😍
I absolutely loved the food! It brought back that familiar, comforting taste I’ve loved since my childhood. ❤ The flavors were exactly what I had been craving.
The only thing that bothered me was that they don’t have a restroom. Other than that, everything was 10/10! ⭐

“Amazing! The sushi tasting menu was exceptional and filling! Delicious and whimsical cocktails. Bar in the back, very hip and chic workout being pretentious. Wagyu beef skewers from the bar was one of the best things I’ve ever had. All the skewers were amazing and the fried chicken and other bar snacks are classic bar foods, but way elevated- can not wait for the rest of the space to open!“

“I stopped in with friends before a event Sunday evening. The staff was warm and welcoming. I had the lentil sambusas and a peanut-infused coffee at the staff’s recommendation. The food was fast and delicious- the sambusas were warm and spicy, and the peanut coffee was delicious! In a kind gesture, the chef sent over a sampling of sushi to our table. Fresh and refreshing, the sushi was a nice complement to my sambusas and hot beverage. I’m not on this side of town often, but now I have a reason to come back.“

“Tried the sushi here and ordered a few specialty rolls. One had a nice citrus flavor, another had crispy onions on top, and the spicy tuna roll brought some heat. I liked that each roll had a completely different combination, which made the meal fun to try“

“Discovered this place by accident while on the Crescent trail, and oh my what a happy coincidence. This is by far (!) the best sushi that I’ve had so far in DC: the rice is well cooked and seasoned, it sticks well to the sushi but at the same time is spread very thinly (a hallmark of a good place), and the rolls are so full of filling that they look like they’re bursting. The fish is fresh and flavourful. The price is more than reasonable (around 12 to 15 dollars for a dish). The owner/cook is obviously extremely competent and very fast in preparing your order. Fantastic place, I have to come back here as soon as I can.“

The bartender, Chi, was personable and very attentive and we enjoyed various foods that were all top notch and some nice wine. Other staff who are coming and going were also very nice and you would never have known it was their first night. I worked in various aspects of the restaurant business for 15 years and have been to various soft openings, and these guys did a fantastic job. The owner Jay came by and chatted with us to make sure everything was going well and you can tell he really cares about everything. “I stopped by Eggs&Sushi a couple of nights ago for a takeout meal. This was my first experience there. I ordered a Steak and Cheese sub which turned out to be very good. I did not eat there, but the restaurant was clean and quiet with a fair amount of seating. I'd go back again.“

“Don't let the exterior of the building fool you. Closed on Sundays. Visited on a Monday at 3pm and the door was locked, but opened very fast (they were on lunch break!). Expectations exceeded, by far! Ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Box, A roll of Spicy Salmon Sushi and a roll of Shrimp Tempura Sushi (shared by 2 people). The Teriyaki Box was good but the Sushi Rolls were outstanding!!! Whole meal with 2 non alcoholic drinks came to about $65 without tip, which was WELL worth it! The chicken gyoza was another good choice, with crisp bottoms and a savory filling. I liked that the menu had more than just sushi, so there were plenty of options for the table. Service was pleasant, although things slowed down a little once the restaurant became busier. Overall, a satisfying Japanese meal in Bethesda.“
