“The food was really great. I got a large bowl of 10 peace pho soup wife got a chicken sandwich.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t experience the sit down service because we came 15 minutes before closing, but they were nice enough to still service us to go. We really appreciate that.“

“I don't recommend eating here. A coworker and myself tried the bahn mi and spring rolls one day and they were some of the worst I have eaten; ended up just tossing half my order. My wife tried the pho a day earlier and said it was not that good either. I do have an acquaintance that works close by and eats here often. he agress the bahn mi, spring rolls and pho are not good, but says the rice and noodles dishes are ok.“

“This has been a go-to restaurant for my family for years. Delicious food and friendly, helpful staff. Many vegetarian options, which is great for me. I only wish the inside decor was a bit nicer, and our clothes tend to smell like the food afterwards. Can also run a bit chilly inside. Other than that, 10/10!“

“Just had the BBQ pork belly . Everything fresh and quality of the sandwich is outstanding, served with smiles. Lovely spot for delicious Banh mi (baguette with choice of meat and toppings) for a meal. Plus they have delicious Butterfly sunset tea,Black milk tea, Thai tea and fresh smoothies … All my favorite“

“This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who loves fresh, creative vegetarian food! The salted egg tofu was an absolute standout—crispy on the outside, silky on the inside, and bursting with rich, savory flavor. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients, offering a perfect balance of taste and texture. The cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!“

“An excellent out-of-the-way Vietnamese restaurant located next to where the old Rite Aid drug store used to be! I ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki and it was delicious! Service was very polite and prompt! For just under $20, the chicken was very flavorful and tender, and the spiciness was perfect! The portions were very generous, too! The two sides of steamed rice and a salad were excellent as well! If you have a craving for excellent teriyaki, this place is a must-try!🎸🌴👽🇺🇲🇸🇪🎵👻😎😃🤘“

“I eat here exactly once a week. When the pho is good, it is fantastic. Among the best I've had. When it's bad, it's very flat. I'm not sure what's missing? Maybe 1/4 of the time it's bad, 1/4 of the time it's excellent. 1/2 the time it's pretty good.
Bottom line is the pho is quite inconsistent. I would happily change my review to 5 stars if this could be addressed.“

“We come here often and we’re never disappointed by any of the pho’s. My favorite is the beef stew pho. The beef broth is super flavorful and its just rich enough. It’s packed with very generous amounts of beef, cooked to perfection. Love it!“

“Visited Bamboo Restaurant on a quiet Tuesday afternoon ,not crowded, which gave the place a calm, almost unhurried atmosphere. Service was quick, and the food arrived without delay.
I ordered the #14 pho large. The broth leaned toward ginger and lime, with a light oil finish and a subtle hint of cinnamon, a nod to the traditional spice base. However, it lacked the depth and cohesion you’d expect from a properly slow-simmered pho.
Typically, spices like star anise, cloves, and cinnamon should come together in a balanced, layered way , here, they felt slightly disconnected.
The noodles were thin and cooked well, though fairly neutral in flavor. The meats were a strong point , well-seasoned and prepared correctly, adding needed substance to the bowl.
I also tried the chili oil (saté), and this is where things dropped a bit. It had a heavier, more generic profile — lacking the aromatic depth and freshness you’d expect from a well-crafted blend.
It felt closer to a pre-made, store-bought oil rather than something developed in-house, which took away from the overall experience.
The atmosphere was extremely quiet no music, minimal interaction which made the space feel slightly awkward rather than inviting. Small details were also missing, like basic table spices or salt.
That said, there’s a certain honesty to this place. It has a simple, home-style feel: casual, calm, and straightforward.
At around $20 per person, it sits in a range where a bit more refinement in both flavor and experience would elevate it significantly.
A decent spot if you’re looking for something quiet and uncomplicated — but not quite there if you’re after a deeply traditional pho experience.“

“I'm not too sure about the negative reviews but the girl at the counter was very nice to me. I got a blueberry bubble tea and it was one of the best bubble teas I have ever had. I'm sure the two reviews that are negative must have happened on a day everyone was stressed out that worked in the restaurant and maybe they did get a little snippy but there's no denying that they have very good food and the girl was very sweet to me at the counter. Some of You people act like you've never had a bad day. The dude probably has people try and get four and five bowls of soup at a time on him and with the way cost have gone up on everything I'm sure he is watching the soup like a hawk. I don't blame him.. that's money out of his pocket.“

“Great Pho, this place was good soup, no hidden fee if you order a Large and the owner was very approachable and honest what is inside the soup order. Also the meat that place was great amount of meat. Honestly the quality of taste was very good. The restroom are clean. If they were able to fix more it will be attractive more to the customer.“
“I recently tried Papaya Vietnamese Cuisine and I was impressed by the freshness of their ingredients! One standout dish was the Grilled Coconut Chicken on Rice- the chicken was perfectly cooked, tender, and had a delicious creamy coconut flavor. The accompanying vinegar sauce paired wonderfully with the sticky rice, adding a nice tangy contrast.
I also ordered their Iced Coffee, which was rich, sweet, and almost dessert-like—ideal for a hot day. I actually got it for a picnic, and it was the perfect refreshing treat!
Overall, a great spot for authentic Vietnamese flavors with fresh, well-prepared dishes.“

“Banh Mi with pork is excellent. The vermicelli was actually pretty good but there was some floral scent in the veggies. It overpowered the taste. Otherwise nice decor and spacious seating. Multiple choice of sauces is nice.
Update
Returned after many years. Came back because I’d heard it changed to a Chipotle like service. That is absolutely not the case. It’s pretty much the same as before except you order at a kiosk and the food is prepped in to go containers. It’s basically switched from a sit down service restaurant to a self serve one. The food was overall ok. While the flavors were nice the meat was overcooked and the veggies had an odd flowery smell. The veggies were fresh though and the pho broth was good. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here and the prices were a bit high. $15 for banh mi? That seems a high. It wasn’t busy but the food took a while.“

“I’ve tried pho at many different restaurants, and while a lot of them were good, none of them made me want to leave a review—until today.
This place is absolutely incredible! I ordered the Large Combo Pho, and everything was perfect. The broth is rich, flavorful, and comforting. The combination of meats, noodles, fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and all the fresh ingredients creates an amazing balance of flavors. You can really tell they care about quality.
I usually order a large bowl at other restaurants and still feel like I could eat more. But here, the large portion was generous and completely satisfying.
If I could give this restaurant 100 stars instead of 5, I absolutely would. This is honestly one of the best bowls of pho I’ve ever had.
Thank you so much for the amazing food and great experience. I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves pho. You will not be disappointed!“

“Thoroughly enjoyed the Pho Dac Biet! Very flavorful broth with fresh ingredients. Called in an order to go and the food was finished in exactly the time quoted. Started the meal with egg rolls and finished with the combination fried rice. Updated menu and prices are published. Will go again when I am in this area.“
