“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.”

“Started out with crawfish eggrolls and spicy chicken wings. Both were delicious. Dinner plate consisted of fish and chips, macaroni cheese and a salad. Everything was wonderful. Throw in two long island teas and it doesn't get any better.”

We arrived shortly before the dinner rush around 530pm. No waiting and were seated promptly. Our server was Lauren, who took our drink order within minutes, asked about appetizers, and returned with the drinks and loaf of warm bread. She took time to answer our questions and quickly brought the little odd & ends we asked for: extra butter, ranch and some paired napkins. The food didn't take long, maybe 15 minutes, and was delicious! During the meal, Lauren checked on us faithfully without being intrusive. Each time she walked by, I'd notice her glancing at our table & checking our drink glasses, they never went dry. 😊 We appreciate that. We want to be checked on but not hovered over so that we can enjoy our meal in peace. She was an awesome server and we had a great meal. We'll definitely be back & al for Lauren's section!”

“Never judge a book by its cover! We are new in Decatur, trying a couple different local places here and we decided to try this coffee place, what a pleasant surprise! Coffee is delicious , had the hot almond joy and my husband the same flavor in frap, the sandwiches were also fresh and taste! The building almost turned us off, is old and it can use some tlc outside, inside is kind of artsy decor, the atmosphere is calm, it can also use some chandeliers or have the lights fixtures cleaned to brighten up the room a bit. Overall a place to enjoy good coffee and grab a deli style sandwich. I recommend this place and we will be back.”

Manager I talk him hey he was very polite and apologetic said that he wouldn't fix us another hamburger or we could come by at our convenience to get it it would have been the second shift manager on December the 29th that was working and we are regular customers and we will be coming back five stars for the manager”

“We decided to finally try Alfonso’s last night for pizza after living here way too long and seeing a friend post a picture of their pizza. So glad we finally tried it. We did take out of just pizza for a quick and easy meal for our family and it was delicious! I think it may be our new favorite pizza. Next time we’ll be trying more on the menu.”

“I am always seeking out the hole in the wall and the places you need to order in spanish (but they let me order in english 😜), and I am mad at myself for driving by this place for decades, looking at the smoke rolling out of the shack and never stopped.

This was some of the best and most heavily seasoned Mexican street style food I have ever had. The Barbacoa was delightfully hot and spicy and the salsa roja and salsa verde condiments were obviously home made and wildly flavorful. The ribs (costillas) were perfectly smokey and intensely flavorful, fork tender.

If you order a plate, expect the meat portions to be double what you expect from the price relative to most other places, and absolutely drowned in their amazing sauces. Don't expect the contents not to slosh out if you order to go!

The quesadillas have the right ammount if meat and onions and a crazy ammount of very chewy, savory cheese.

The lengua burrito was the perfect texture of chewy chunks with the a generous portion of meat and the right balance of beans and rice.

The beans and rice, served with each plate, exceed expectations with overly savory flavors.”

Even though the line is almost out the door every day. It moves quickly because of their great serving and cooking team. The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. Don’t forget an order of deviled eggs.”

“We hadn’t had iHop in years, so we decided to go one Saturday. They were relatively busy, but not overly so. What made our experience fantastic was our waitress, Jada. She. Was. Incredible! She made sure our 10-month-old got some food first so we didn’t have to worry about feeding him while we were eating. He kept dropping his teething toy on the floor, so she brought us a cup of warm water to rinse it off each time without us even asking! She was incredibly attentive and just an all around great person! We will definitely be back and it’s all because of Jada.”

On August 27th 2025 This Brandi and Tracey duo somehow made this trip completely different than the last pleasant review. They simply took a 5 star rating and made it a 10. I'm not trying to sound cliche at all, but for the very few times I've came in, they remember me like a long time friend you haven't seen in years. There's service and to be serviced. While be serviced, though there was no wait, you wouldn't even acknowledge the wait due to such a genuine, comfortable, warm felt environment! The pork or turkey is where it's at just personal preference.

I recommend pork as the safe bet and turkey the same. The Chicken you may like, just texture was off.

“My husband and I love Panera bread because the people there are very nice. The management is super supportive. I love the avocado sandwich and my husband loves another one. But we both love the kitchen sink 🍪 cookie. It's salty sweet and very awesome.

The owner, the staff, the cooks- they are always so kind. On busy nights, which we have been part of plenty, it’s still our favorite buffet. Food is always hot, drinks are always refilled, and the ice-cream scoop makes the most magical balls of ice-cream, perfect for littles (and grown ups too, who am I kidding).”

“Decatur's (Alabama) Logan's is just better than most I've been to around the South. Eve, at the bar is Great. Can't say enough about the service. Food was also excellent. Parmesan Chicken, you get 2 sides, plus a house salad. Lots of food for less than 20 bucks. Cold, Cold Blue Moon and other beers on tap. It's been there for at least 25-30 years. There's probably a reason Outback never came to Decatur. Logan's, Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse dominate this city.”
