“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.”

“Never judge a book by its cover! We are new in Decatur, trying a couple different local places here and we decided to try this coffee place, what a pleasant surprise! Coffee is delicious , had the hot almond joy and my husband the same flavor in frap, the sandwiches were also fresh and taste! The building almost turned us off, is old and it can use some tlc outside, inside is kind of artsy decor, the atmosphere is calm, it can also use some chandeliers or have the lights fixtures cleaned to brighten up the room a bit. Overall a place to enjoy good coffee and grab a deli style sandwich. I recommend this place and we will be back.”

“We decided to finally try Alfonso’s last night for pizza after living here way too long and seeing a friend post a picture of their pizza. So glad we finally tried it. We did take out of just pizza for a quick and easy meal for our family and it was delicious! I think it may be our new favorite pizza. Next time we’ll be trying more on the menu.”

The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. On August 27th 2025 This Brandi and Tracey duo somehow made this trip completely different than the last pleasant review. They simply took a 5 star rating and made it a 10. I'm not trying to sound cliche at all, but for the very few times I've came in, they remember me like a long time friend you haven't seen in years. There's service and to be serviced. While be serviced, though there was no wait, you wouldn't even acknowledge the wait due to such a genuine, comfortable, warm felt environment! I was nervous ordering the new to me thicc French toast they serve now, but it is really good and frenchy whereas lots of places basically serve yellowed toast. They have a value meal that is like 6 bucks and you get French toast, eggs, and bacon or sausage. Good deal until you order a drink”

I recommend pork as the safe bet and turkey the same. The Chicken you may like, just texture was off.

“I found this place on door dash. I was craving Chinese or something or the kind. I have a sensitive stomach to say the least so I was praying this wouldn't make me sick like most Chinese places.

I have never dined-in but take out is ABSOLUTELY top tier! Every order I have gotten has been freshly made [ or so it seems.] Arrives nice and HOT after 15-25 mins of delivery time.

I have ordered egg drop soup, pretty basic but delicious. Teriyaki chicken with plain noodles.. LORD YASss! The chicken, PERFECTION, sweet. The noodles, although super plain, has some bits of cabbage, but the flavor is THERE. There are two size options for this, medium and large. I always get the medium, and its the perfect portion, sometimes I cant finish it. I'm a big-back so I eat large potions and its perfect.

I have also ordered the sugar donuts. 100% freshly made, I don't care what anyone says. Warm as hell on the inside, perfection on the outside. MUST HAVE.

My coworker gets chicken fried rice for 8.99. He absolutely loves it. LARGE PORTION. Reminds me of how Asians restaurants in the mall stuff the plate like crazy. He never finishes it.

I have ordered at least 10 times at this point since I found them about 2 1/2 months ago. Flavor, quality, timely, no upset tummy, 1000000/10. Its simple and I will always order here!”

“I have been eating Penn’s cheeseburgers my entire life. My grandma used to bring me here as a child. Now, anytime I can get to Decatur before they close, I try to stop and get one. The burgers are awesome! You do need to know what you’re getting before you order it, or you might be confused. They serve what is called a “slug” burger. Originally named that because when they opened, the burgers cost a nickel. These burgers are from an era where times were hard, so “fillers” like bread crumbs were used in the patties to make the meat feed more people. The burgers are also deep fried. I love to get mine “all the way” which means with mustard and onions. Everyone should try them at least once.”
