“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.”

“Started out with crawfish eggrolls and spicy chicken wings. Both were delicious. Dinner plate consisted of fish and chips, macaroni cheese and a salad. Everything was wonderful. Throw in two long island teas and it doesn't get any better.”

“We rented the party room at JW Steakhouse May 3,2025 for our 40th class reunion and it was 10/10. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Didn't have to wait long on our food and the waitress kept our drinks full. Very nice staff and would recommend this Steakhouse for your special events.”

“Never judge a book by its cover! We are new in Decatur, trying a couple different local places here and we decided to try this coffee place, what a pleasant surprise! Coffee is delicious , had the hot almond joy and my husband the same flavor in frap, the sandwiches were also fresh and taste! The building almost turned us off, is old and it can use some tlc outside, inside is kind of artsy decor, the atmosphere is calm, it can also use some chandeliers or have the lights fixtures cleaned to brighten up the room a bit. Overall a place to enjoy good coffee and grab a deli style sandwich. I recommend this place and we will be back.”

On August 27th 2025 This Brandi and Tracey duo somehow made this trip completely different than the last pleasant review. They simply took a 5 star rating and made it a 10. I'm not trying to sound cliche at all, but for the very few times I've came in, they remember me like a long time friend you haven't seen in years. There's service and to be serviced. While be serviced, though there was no wait, you wouldn't even acknowledge the wait due to such a genuine, comfortable, warm felt environment! “As usual, Smokey C’s is the best lunch place around Decatur. The food is outstanding and everyone is super nice. You can always tell a good restaurant by the length of the line. Even though the line is almost out the door every day. It moves quickly because of their great serving and cooking team. The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. Don’t forget an order of deviled eggs.”

“I have eaten at this location twice recently and was definitely satisfied. I was nervous ordering the new to me thicc French toast they serve now, but it is really good and frenchy whereas lots of places basically serve yellowed toast. They have a value meal that is like 6 bucks and you get French toast, eggs, and bacon or sausage. Good deal until you order a drink”

(10 mins or so) I ordered coconut chicken w/fried rice, and small chicken lo mein, both of which were delightful. We got a crab rangoon type appetizer and it was good, just not exactly what I was expecting it to be in terms of filling. In all my food cost $23.** and I was shocked how much food we actually have! Im really glad we chose to support a small business instead of panda express. Adding an updated version of the side of the menu I didnt see on here.”

The pork or turkey is where it's at just personal preference.

I recommend pork as the safe bet and turkey the same. The Chicken you may like, just texture was off.

Had we not, it would have been about $8.50 per person for frozen yogurt. The quality was really good. I had white chocolate and rice chocolate flavors, with hot fudge. My daughter had the same but with more chocolate chips, cookie dough, Oreo crumbles and chocolate sprinkles. There were lots of flavor and topping options.”
