“I was in Phoenix 3 nights. I went here the first night and was blown away. In all sincerity I would have come back every night but forced myself to try something different the second night. The 3rd night was also great. Miguel and his staff are great. The food was fresh and awesome. The calamari is the best I have ever had. “I ordered out so can speak on food only. I had the Phoenix Rising roll which was good but a bit rich with so much spicy mayo, still it was very good. The spicy edamame was fantastic! Garlicky w/chili oil and just the right amount of heat. Also the crispy soft shelled crab was great, it had a creamy sauce with it but I had it with ponzu. Mmm so tasty!“

“Omakase experience was unreal and unexpected. Every fish was fresh and had the same texture as if we were eating it in Japan or Taiwan. They even had fish from Yuma which was a surprise. The chef made mouth watering combinations to highlight the fish/eel/uni and we definitely ordered another round of our favorites after the omakase. Overall pleasantly surprised! Don’t let the location fool you!! It’s a gem of a sushi place.“

“This is by far my favorite sushi place. Don't be fooled by the hole-in-the-wall vibe. The food is great, the prices are cheap, and most of all I love that the owners are waiting on you and cooking for you. I was afraid this small restaurant might not survive Covid but I'm super happy that they did. Let's all support good quality inexpensive mom and pop restaurants whenever we can!“

“Been craving a good ramen and decided to give this a place a try! WOW!!! I’m not kidding when I say this was the best ramen we have ever had! HANDS DOWN! First, the service was amazing! Ian went out of his way to make our first time there exceptional! Brought multiple sauces for us to use on our small plate starter, (mixed tempura) which was light, and delicious!! He went above and beyond to make our visit special. Service was fast but not rushed! I felt like I was at a 5 star establishment! Now back to this ramen!!! We got the Tonkostu ramen. It was thick and creamy and FLAVORFUL!! Wow. Meat was tender and everything was so yummy! My husband who normally says everything is “aight” said this was really good and definitely the best he’s had and we’ll absolutely be back! Although he ate all his noodles he still brought the left over broth home it was so good! Thank you Ian and Yutaka for such a wonderful experience and meal for our Friday date night! “Their black garlic ramen is so freaking awesome. Their appetizers are all super flavorful as well. The drinks are always strong and well mixed. Some people have said that the service is slow, but typically there's very few workers and they make everything to order. It's probably not the place to go in a hurry. But if you want really delicious freshly prepared food, it's worth the wait.“

“We had seen some Sonoran style sushi on tiktok and after discovering the line and prices were longer than mile we decided to go to this local place instead and so glad we did. Food was great and the prices allowed us to vary our selections more. We had some deep fried hot Cheetos crusted roll and another steak roll that were both very good. Hot Cheetos was our favorite!“

“I love Gogi, me and my wife drive up from Tucson just to eat here often. We get the bento boxes, the sweet and spicy wings and their extra spicy Korean wings every time! They are hooot but soo tasty , they are worth the sweat. The owner and his staff are always so polite with smiles. Recommend 10/10 for locals and visitors.“

The sushi was pretty good we had about 3-4 different types of it. This place was definitely worth going too & we didn't have to wait for the food as well. “Absolutely loved this place all around, atmosphere, service and food. My friend and I met our 2 other friends here at 4:00 pm right when they opened. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by a very nice and friendly young man, who was our server throughout the evening. The restaurant is very small, no tables bigger than to hold a party of 4. The bar though was big, it could accommodate a lot of people. They also have outdoor patio seating which looked very inviting if the weather was cooler.

We started off with the smoking deal they offer, a bottle of wine and a Bruschetta Board for $30. We ordered through out the evening cocktails and beers. They have limited cocktails, but the ones they offer were excellent. I had The V and Serendipity. The 4 of us shared all the tapas orders which were the Truffled Hamachi, 12pc Sashimi Assortment, Green Chili Beef Empanadas, Chicken Skewers, Spicy Salmon Avocado Maki and the Yellowtail Aburi. All was EXCELLENT!

“Love the sushi, they have a huge variety. The sushi comes around on a conveyor belt like thing and you choose what you like or you can order from full menu. Only downside of all the times we've been there is it's crowded. They could use more space to seat customers and no where to really stand and wait. Everything else is wonderful.“

“We have been here about 3 times here in Phoenix. There are always a lot of customers, it's always worth driving 30 or 40 minutes and enjoying something delicious! The atmosphere is familiar, the quality of the food and quantity is excellent, the price is reasonable and most importantly the taste deserves 5 stars.

You will like the rolls, the Orange chicken dish and any other dish.

Personally, I prefer to eat there than order takeout.“
