“Neighborhood sushi restaurant in a little strip mall. Food is decent versions and fresh ingredients. Only ding is that they don’t offer real crab dishes. They do have fresh wasabi you can ask for (not the paste). Gets crowded at high times. Can be loud also but in off hours, quite pleasant noise level of music and talking. Parking is a challenge in the lot due to the number of businesses and lack of spaces. The service varies but the last several months have had great service.“

“Our family loves Xami Sushi. It may not look like much from the outside but the sushi is delicious and the chef was trained by a Japanese sushi chef. We are so happy that this little spot opened up right in our neighborhood because our family loves to eat sushi multiple times a month but we always had to drive so far for it. There are lots of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi to choose from. We have come back again and again. It's nice sitting up at the bar and chatting with the chef. The decor is nice and my daughter loved the little dinosaur chopstick holders. Love that they also have fresh wasabi by request. We'll be regulars for sure.

Parking: It's a small location but plenty of parking for the size of the place.

“This is by far my favorite sushi place. Don't be fooled by the hole-in-the-wall vibe. The food is great, the prices are cheap, and most of all I love that the owners are waiting on you and cooking for you. I was afraid this small restaurant might not survive Covid but I'm super happy that they did. Let's all support good quality inexpensive mom and pop restaurants whenever we can!“

“Been craving a good ramen and decided to give this a place a try! WOW!!! I’m not kidding when I say this was the best ramen we have ever had! HANDS DOWN! First, the service was amazing! Ian went out of his way to make our first time there exceptional! Brought multiple sauces for us to use on our small plate starter, (mixed tempura) which was light, and delicious!! He went above and beyond to make our visit special. Service was fast but not rushed! I felt like I was at a 5 star establishment! Now back to this ramen!!! We got the Tonkostu ramen. It was thick and creamy and FLAVORFUL!! Wow. Meat was tender and everything was so yummy! My husband who normally says everything is “aight” said this was really good and definitely the best he’s had and we’ll absolutely be back! Although he ate all his noodles he still brought the left over broth home it was so good! Thank you Ian and Yutaka for such a wonderful experience and meal for our Friday date night! “This was absolutely incredible. Our old go to sushi place changed ownership and quality, so we picked a new one based on reviews. So glad we came here tonight!

First off, the service was awesome and Jeff, our waiter, was extremely personable and attentive. He helped make our night even better.

Secondly, please do not leave without trying the Thai curry tonkatsu hot pot. Holy moly this is my new go to tonkatsu. I want this every time I’m sick now ? the broth was perfectly flavored and balanced, the chicken was soft but not chewy, the veggies were amazing, and the noodles were very well done. My husband even noticed how relaxed I got after eating it. It was perfection. The huge ass bowl was more than enough for a whole meal for two people, let alone the apps and sushi we also got.

Thirdly, the rest of the food. I am from an Oceanside city and I am incredibly picky about my seafood and sushi. I rarely find any I like in this landlocked valley. The sushi here was incredibly fresh, generously portioned, and overall amazing. We ate it before I could take pics. We got the Alaska roll, salmon nigiri, salmon crunch, and one other I forgot the name of. All were incredible.

For apps, we got the jalapeño poppers and the soft shell crab. Please, do yourself a favor and get the crab. It was a whole crab and it was juicy and flavorful. The jalapeño popper was also the perfect amount of spice; tasteful but not deadly.

The best part? For all of the above (2 apps, 3 rolls, nigiri, and a huge hot pot) plus tip was only $97.00. That was incredible.

“The food was delicious. I had takoyaki which came with 4 good pieces. Topped with sauce, a drizzle of mayo and bonito flakes. Then black garlic ramen. Noodles were cooked just right, pork and egg on top and a very rich broth.
The server was very nice and helpful. The place is very plain so the only real atmosphere is a nice view of mountains out the windows. There's a bar at the side of the restaurant and there was a happy hour menu.“

“Good service and food. Staff is friendly. Location isn't the most ideal, parking lot is tight but didn't seem busy from the other businesses nearby as this place was the only one attracting cars. The inside is quite large and about half of the restaurant was occupied. There were customers constantly entering as well. Options are great and well priced. Banchan is tasty and it's the only Korean place in AZ offering anchovies as well which was great. Ramune soda for the kids, another one the other K restaurants don't typically have. Priced just right, will be back!“

So we looked at the menu and realized that they do sell other items other than sushi. We decided to try the orange chicken bowl,the stoner bowl and pho. All were spectacular! The stoner bowl was insane, imagine boneless wings on top of a salad on top of a bowl of rice ?. Online the stoner chicken did kind of resemble the color of orange chicken, buffalo chicken. The chicken is cut thin,fried to perfection and topped with a delicious buffalo sauce. I would have never imagined eating a buffalo wing mixed in salad or in a bowl of rice. The orange chicken bowl was also delicious. Tangy,sauced orange chicken in a bowl of rice always hits the spot. Last but not least the vegetable pho(with chicken added)in a ginormous bowl. An amazing broth mixed with so many veggies and crunch it soothes the soul. To top it off apparently everyday they have a happy hour menu that can save you a few bucks. Every bowl can easily feed 2 people, The restaurant is cozy and quiet in the afternoon but gets busy later in the day. Well maintained restaurant with a great staff,we can't wait to visit again. That is after we finish the gigantic amounts of leftovers ?. Moto is WAY MORE than sushi( I'm sure the sushi is also amazing). Each bowl/plate will run about $11-$22.“

“I'm surprised we haven't seen this place before, so I'm assuming it is new. We went here for happy hour and the prices were incredible for the quality of food we got.

The sushi was very fresh and had tons of fish in it. Service was great. We came in when it was quiet and the place filled up soon after 6pm. Everything came out in a timely manner except I think they forgot our edamame order, but they brought it to us later on and didn't charge us for it.

My kid got a miso soup. I was expecting a small container like I'm used to, but this was a large bowl of soup and she was thrilled.

Our favorite roll was by far the seared salmon roll, but honestly there wasn't a single roll we could complain about. The jalapeño poppers were very tasty. I'm not usually a fan but these were very good! Their tempura batter was very crispy. I ordered a salmon handroll and was pleasantly surprised when they brought out 2!

“I was surprised with this place on a date a few months ago. Ever since we come we one to three times a week. Thos place NEVER disappoints and we have become acquaintances with quite a few of the staff members.

Even when we come late at night they truly make the experience by putting on my fave 90s music and let me belt it out for a few songs while I eat.

I absolutely LOVE this place. The food is always on par and always great. Staff is EXCELLENT. David is one of the BEST servers ever. Location is perfect for us and it's become our dining room away from our dining room.
