“Chef and owner, Carlos, is amazing! He once opened the restaurant for us and our friends, Grant & Yoka, when they had mistakenly taken our reservation on a day they were closed. We showed up, they realized the error, and he graciously opened the doors and cooked up a storm for us. His cuisine is so flavorful, done with finesse and a true passion for cookery. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend Guiso.“

“Great food and service. Strong Japanese influence with local ingredients. Wine was great but expensive compared to European three star spots. Knowledge about the food varied among the waiters - one told us the cabbage dish was all fresh cabbage, then ten minutes later we listened to a different waiter tell the table next to us that it was half fermented cabbage (and that was a pattern). Duck was a highlight - blew EMP duck out of the water. I appreciated the use of sound dampening materials on the interior.“
“Top notch and the perfect setting for a getaway.“

“We had a great prix fixe meal of 3 courses but the also offer 5 courses. No bad selections except for the cauliflower steak. I don’t think that is worth a steak or shrimp pasta but that is my opinion. Outdoor dining is available and they have heaters by the wall of sliding windows that open up totally he outside. Awesome deserts. I had the cookie butter cheesecake. I died and went to heaven.“
“Top 3 things I loved: 1) breathtaking views of the valley and a peaceful atmosphere, 2) the warm and knowledgeable service during the wine tour, 3) the stylish décor and well‑crafted wine tasting experience. I had a wonderful time and will definitely return – one of the best wineries in Russian River Valley.“
“Lovely spot, with delightful wines, wonderful views, and gracious staff. Looking forward to our next visit already. I had the sparkling flight and every wine was unique and delicious. Thank you to our host Toni for making us feel relaxed and welcome.“
“When we stayed in the Sonoma/Healdsburg area, our resort concierge recommended that we try Gary Farrell as one of our wineries to experience while we were in the area. This was our first stop and it was an amazing winery- only open for reservations only (no walk-ins).
We arrived a few minutes before our tasting and were warmly greeted by the host staff and shown to our table, overlooking the beautiful Russian River hillside area. The views from the winery are absolutely outstanding.
We learned from our host that the owners of the Gary Farrell Winery don't own any of the vineyards, they only procure the grapes and they're the wine maker. The wines were all drastically different and some of the best Chardonnay's we have had on any of our tastings we have done in Napa.
The host was so knowledgable and very warm and friendly. We went away with a new found appreciation of their winery and purchased a bottle of wine to take home with us for a Christmas gift. Gary Farrell is truly an amazing winery and I highly recommend trying it if you're in the area! We look forward to returning!“
“Amazing wine! Got 10 cases 🙈
Our server Reed was very informative, great convo & not just about wine! We talked about business ventures, martial arts (nun chucks!), breathing exercises, wrestling & He also told us the best way to get sparkling glasses (magic erasers!) & the best place to buy them wholesale! (Sponge depot!) He will be missed but we'll see him next visit! 🥂“
“Wow what a beautiful view from the patio - and exceptionally dog friendly too! Our host, Josef, was an absolute charmer and knowledgeable too. We did the chocolate pairing which was delightful, and even got a bonus pour or two of some older vintages. Was fun to try the same wine but different year side by side. They also brought my dog a keepsake bowl and “treat flight”. Don’t skip this one!“

“Had lunch for the first time here today, a delicious one! The menu is huge, so I look forward to trying so many of their authentic dishes. Happy to have them in Healdsburg. -Ali Story“
“Experience is superb! This family winery is large sale but still very close to their hearts. Katie, Hank, Linda and Harry were amazing hosts. Their winemakers were very busy yet still open to answer questions. Highly reccomend!“
“Hi… 4 of us were old time wine tasters. 2 never experienced wine tasting before. Darren gave the new guests a full tasting experienced. While he poured a variety of your best wines to satisfy an experienced tasters pallet. I joined your club and carried out 12 bottles of yum to go. Great experience. We will be back.“

“We were in Healdsburg for appointments. Finding a good place for breakfast was on our to-do list. Lots of good options. Today, Acorns Cafe looked like the best choice. We found a calm and peaceful place. The menu wasn't deep with options. What was there was excellent. Order at the counter and it's delivered to your table. Staff were friendly and helpful. We e joked our selections. Portions were fair. Felt a little expensive, $20 per person.“
“we did the signature wine tasting. the view is amazing and the wine was phenomenal, our wine guide was also very good at taking us through all the varieties and differences among the pinot noirs. I would definitely come back with family and friends!“
“Porter Creek Winery was such a peaceful gem and one of the highlights of our wine country trip. The team (Crystal) went above and beyond to accommodate us, even staying a little late so we could enjoy the experience — and we’re so grateful they did!
The setting was absolutely stunning — quiet, serene, and surrounded by natural beauty. It was the kind of view that makes you want to take a deep breath and stay a while. The wines were just as memorable, especially the Zinfandels — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced.
To top it all off, we were greeted by Poppy, the sweetest dog who made the whole experience even more charming. Between the warm hospitality, the incredible wines, and the peaceful ambiance, it was the perfect way to wind down our day.
Highly recommend Porter Creek for anyone looking for a relaxing, intimate tasting experience with a personal touch.“
“This is the most incredible wine tasting experience I've ever been to. The wines were outstanding, the food was fantastic, and the service was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend Williamson wines and everything they do. We are already planning our next visit!“
“I’ve been coming to Sonoma about 3 times a year for the last few years, and have had a lot of wine tasting experiences - Limerick Lane is by far the most incredible tasting experience I’ve had thanks to Chris, Julie, and Jen. My partner and 2 friends and I had lunch with the team and got to learn so much about the winemaking process and how Limerick utilizes regenerative farming techniques to not only take care of 115 year old vines, but to make some of the best wine in Sonoma County! Massive shoutout to the team for such an incredible experience!“
“Beautiful scenery, great wines & the staff are amazing with great service and knowledge! Really had a fabulous time there!🍷“
“Such a relaxing environment and amazing wines“
“Fun time. Awesome grounds too.“
“I’ve visited quite a few distilleries, but Alley 6 stands out for its perfect balance of heritage and hospitality. The experience was incredibly informative—our guide really knew the science behind the mash bill without making it feel like a chemistry lecture.
The highlight, of course, was the tasting. The Rye Whiskey is an absolute standout with notes of vanilla, spice of rye, and a nice subtle caramel. The atmosphere in the tasting room is warm and inviting, it sets a gold standard for how spirits should be experienced, leaving you with a profound appreciation for the liquid in your glass. Don't leave without a bottle!“
“Love the atmosphere and champagnes !! Joined my first wine club with them !!“

“Healdsburg's best kept secret is Otoro Sushi, but thankfully it doesnt stop at just sushi. I happened upon this restaurant after going to my favorite place to shop for landscaping sculptures and misc. decor in Healdsburg, Garrett Hardware which happens to Otoro. Today, on my way home from UCSF we decided to try it out and to say we were in love at first bite would not be an understatement. We started off with a bowl of their soup which was delightful followed by a serving of tempura vegetables 😋😜 and we could not get enough or pick which one was our favorite. Then onto the main course one Bento Box with Teriyaki Chicken and its sides along with our sushi which consisted of 2- California Rolls, 2-Shrimp Tempura Rolls, 1-Yum Yum Roll 😋 (My Favorite) It came by its name for a reason and finally a Jalapeño Bomb Roll which is going home to the boy . 👦The only thing I forgot to add is I cant wait to go back.“
“We had an awesome tasting yesterday at this amazing winery. Robin was very friendly and excited about the different types of wines. She explained all the options throughly. We can not wait to get back home to try our selections for different dinners. Thanks again for everything.“
“Had booked a tasting for a sparkling flight and varietals flight. Ended up adding the cheese pairing. Brendan was a.ma.zingggggggg. Talk about a wealth of knowledge, super personable and had some great one-liners that had us cracking up. The wines were great, and while I was skeptical about some of the cheeses-it was pleasantly surprising and really delicious“
“We’ve been members at Talty Winery for over 10 years, and there’s a reason we keep coming back. 🍷 This place is more than a winery—it’s a home away from home. Michael, the owner and winemaker, makes every visit feel personal. His passion for Zinfandel shines through not only in the wine (which is consistently incredible), but in the warmth and hospitality he shows to every guest. The Zins are some of our all-time favorites, and sharing a glass with Michael always feels like catching up with an old friend. Talty isn’t just a stop on the wine trail—it’s a tradition for us. ♥️“
“The tasting room is housed in a lovely, broad building with walls of glass and attractive architecture. There is a raised back patio, but I was glad to see that tastings were held on the front lawn and garden this hot Saturday afternoon. It offers shadier spots, and I chose one along the path that felt like my own cozy corner among the plants and butterflies.
It was still hot under the umbrella! But the tasting room staff kept my water carafe filled.
A few wines stood out among this tasting of five, with two bonus wines offered by the staff: Mazzocco Stuhlmuller Chardonnay Reserve 2022 and Mazzocco Seaton Zinfandel Reserve 2022.“
“Located towards the back of an industrial park in Healdsburg sits a hidden gem. When you’re tired of wine tasting or if you truly love a unique experience come and try some amazing craft distilled liquor.
Tim and Shennon make some of the finest spirits I have ever tried.
The Highlight for me on this visit was the Hobs Heavy barrel aged gin, it’s truly exceptional.
The Sherry cask and Port finish bourbons are nice additions to their lineup. They have a wonderful single barrel 4 year 4 grain mash as well.“
“My brother made reservations while we were going to a few wineries in the area.
The day we went was a tad rainy but the weather made the experience more special.
We were greeted by a cute grey tabby while we waited for our table.
Once seated we were welcomed with delicious wines and great ambience.
Slowly other wine tasters left and our group was the last.
Super charming and personalable winery.
Not to mention the wine will blow your socks off.
Highly recommend!“
“My group and I had an absolute blast doing a private tasting at Mauritson. Doug was a wealth of knowledge on all of the delicious wines we tasted. Truly there wasn't a single wine we would not happily drink again and again. Our standout favorites were the Rockpile Zinfandel, Maffei Zinfandel and the Rockpile Cabernet. We also had the good fortune to meet Emma, the winemaker, while we were there and we were blown away by the care and dedication that she puts into producing the best expressions of each varietal. Would return on our next trip without question!“
“Came here on a Tuesday around noon to try the "block stars" tasting flight. I ended up being the only customer till about 3 and had a great time getting to know Pam in the tasting room and learning more about the history of the vineyards! The wine was great (especially the sparkling pinot noir) and their location is perfect for sitting out on the back patio to enjoy the vineyards and mountains. Definitely a great stop!“

“We had a great tasting experience with Lana. The setting is very tranquil and relaxed, the wine is excellent, and the hosts are warm and personable. It’s quite literally off the beaten path by a few miles, but that’s part of what makes a visit special.“
“This place is great! This was the first winery I visited during my visit although I wish it was the last on the list instead as nothing ended up topping this experience. The winery was really clean and spotless, the grounds were well kept and the architecture was both charming and unique. The staff were super knowledgeable, and hospitable. We went on the tour that came with food and wine tastings, all of which were delicious; the kitchen staff did a wonderful job. Our host, Jason, was amazing as well; I think he really brought the experience together. He was very personable and saw him making a conscious effort of including everyone and making the overall experience engaging. At the end of the tasting he even gave recommendations for food and other wineries in the area which I found to be really helpful. He was committed to making sure we all enjoyed ourselves during, and after the tour. We were also lucky enough to meet the owner as well, who was also kind and greeted our group personally. Jason and the staff made it feel like a unique and special experience on an individual level. I highly recommend this place and I hope to come back again in the future.“
“Wonderful service, location, and historically excellent wines.“

“I’ve had a lot of Japanese food in Sonoma and across the Bay Area, but places that deliver this level of consistent quality are few and far between. This restaurant is the kind of spot where you think you know your sushi and your izakaya—then they quietly serve something that reminds you what “mastery of the basics” really looks like.
The ingredients are so fresh they might as well have swum over to say hi. The knife work is clean and precise, the seasoning calibrated like it was measured with a ruler. Every dish arrives looking good, smelling even better, and tasting exactly as it should—leaving you with zero room to nitpick.
What’s even more impressive is the owner’s decade-plus commitment to doing things the right way. In an era where everyone’s chasing the next gimmick or “innovation,” he’s chosen instead to refine one thing until it’s perfect. That kind of craftsmanship sounds romantic, but in practice it’s harder than unagi on a busy night.
Put simply: this isn’t the type of place that relies on hype to get you in the door. It’s the type you finish eating at, then quietly add to your personal “lifelong list of Japanese restaurants you’ll keep coming back to.” If you’re in the Bay Area and craving a Japanese meal that won’t let you down, this is it—no fanfare, just understated excellence.“
“Come for the wine, stay for the beautiful grounds!
I proposed here a few weekends ago (she said yes!). I couldn't think of a more beautiful, intimate place! The tasting room has a beautiful view of the vines below the mountains, stunning in the afternoon sun. There is an area with some picnic tables below a clump of redwoods. And the gardens are the highlight for sure, gorgeous, well tended, and we got to sample a few kinds of figs along with our charcuterie!
We really enjoyed their GSM and seeing the wine in the making! Special thanks to Julia, she helped me find the perfect spot for the proposal and just went so much out of her way to make sure we had a time we'll remember for the rest of our lives! We'll definitely be back!
And be sure to say hi to Sir Winston!“
“We stopped by on a warm Saturday afternoon, without a reservation and were pleased to be seated right away. From the moment you pull in, you feel at home. Bocce in the courtyard, pups on site, a water view among the vines. The balcony was shaded with umbrellas allowing the sun to warm the soul. The wines are part of the Wilson family, and we were so pleased with all of the pinot noirs. We could have spent the entire afternoon there.“
“Chris Creek has something for everyone. If you’re looking for a screaming value, the $30 tasting includes familiar favorites (Pinot Noir) and eccentric blends (Sotoyome and Deux Barriques). If you’re looking to splurge, there’s the $1000 Millennium Cabernet from 2014. And if you quite literally want to soak in the stunning views, grab your trunks and take a dip in the full pool!“
“Comstock Wines is set in an absolutely beautiful location. We had a seated tasting with Erik, who was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the wines. He made the entire experience both memorable and enjoyable. I learned a lot about wine, and his enthusiasm truly made the experience unforgettable! We loved the wines so much that my father-in-law even bought half a case to be shipped home to Florida. All in all, it was a fantastic experience.“
“Overshine is a fantastic update of the former Armida winery. The new incarnation presents a chill spot to enjoy some great wines set to a groovin' sound track with great views.
We visited for the first time in around 7 years thinking it might not be the Armida winery we enjoyed in the past. Well, that was true but in a really good way... Overshine has retained some of the original favorite zins while creating a vibe that's completely welcoming and relaxed.
The $35 patio 90 minute tasting is a very fair price with no pressure to join the club or other sales tactics that can ruin a winery experience. Christopher was completely tuned into our group's preferences and made the visit feel like we were hanging out with a long-time friend. We would have been there much longer enjoying our fall afternoon if we didn't have to leave for our next appointment.
Do yourself a favor and reserve a tasting at this wonderfully reimagined winery. 🍷🍷🍷🍷🍷“

“A wonderful resturante. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is calm and nice. The food is fantastic, even when we were full we wanted to continue. The service was great as well, the recommendations were on point and the prices are affordable and reasonable.“
“We visited Blanchard Family Wines January 2024. Mark (one of the owners ) spent well over an hour with us talking about their wines and about how he and his brother came to own a winery. We were so impressed with him and the wine! So much so we joined their club and have enjoyed every bottle. We don't claim to be wine cononosours but we have tasted enough wine to know the good from the bad. We love their wine and measure everyone else's against Blanchard. Mark is always attentive and helpful. We feel that we've joined more than a wine club. Thanks Mark for making our wine drinking so enjoyable.“
“What a beautiful vineyard and what great wine with great service!! Was so fun discussing wine and travel with Kent who was such a great host! The most delicious Chardonnay and appreciate the cheese/food pairing ideas! GREAT recommendations!“
“Very casual and laid back vibe here. The owner and his daughter attended to us and we had a good conversation along the way. Lot of good tips for the local area were given as well. Wine was good, cheese was good. We would recommend and would go back. We used a Groupon for our first visit and it worked out perfectly.“
