“It was our first time here today. Great service and very friendly atmosphere. I had the spider hand roll (huge and delicous) and the cut spicy scallop cut roll. I really loved the spicy scallop roll. I don't know how they flavor it. But it wasn't just spicy mayo which made it so good! I also got the yellow submarine. Not my favorite but still pretty good. Overall great g
Food and great service.“

“First time here and I am blown away. Sushi is so fresh. They have the special rolls and real tasty and fresh nigiri. Service was excellent and patient with questions. Will be back soon for sure. Prices are good for the quality you get. There is also plentiful parking. Can't recommend enough.“

“Great food, portions are bonkers good. Food quality is top notch and well worth the price. Staff are super friendly as well. I got a combo plate and unlike other Japanese restaurants I actually got beef that was properly cooked. After seeing the portions of the sushi rolls I will try those out next time because they were giant. Will definitely return.“

“The food my wife and I ordered was very tasty, fresh, and well prepared. Our servers were also very attentive and polite from beginning to end. The ambiance, seating, and overall experience are enjoyable here. We'll be coming back to this local sushi spot again in the near future.“

“Food was amazing! Tried the chefs combo(turns out the chef I had was also the owner) to which every piece of sushi had a good portion of their choice on top. Miso soup was good and tried their double salmon roll special. Very flavorful and good portion on the inside and out. Place inside is small but doesnt feel cramped, servers and chef are hospitable and ambiance is calm. Great for a date or even just to relax. Definitely returning!
Edit: Have returned numerous times and never disappointed. Pictures included“

“Great local sushi restaurant. I used to come frequently for their lunch special. But with the price increased, I am sorry I have to find other places for the same quality of foods. The quality of food here is great and wish they have special for dinner too“

“This is truly a secret gem in the city. I'd recommend anyone from Pomona or anyone passing through to try this place at least once. Food is great the people are nice the vibe excellent. I love how they decorated the inside to give a unique authentic feel. My favorite go to dish here is the spicy seafood Ramen, the sushi are great as well. 😄👍“

“Top tier sushi experience. They have limited seating in a confined interior, so there will be a long wait during weekends. I waited 45 minutes on Saturday night but it was worth the wait. The sushi premium set was filled with lots of high quality options and perfect for variety and quite filling. Staff are all very friendly and the interior is beautiful and clean.“

“I order takeout from here all the time because the food is very very very good. The service is always very excellent My only concern is where it's located. I usually get delivery because I don't like the location of where this is. If it wasn't located where it is I would definitely be going there quite often. But if you know anything about this location you know what I'm talking about. But I do keep them busy with delivery I'll tell you what.“

“Typical SoCal poke spot with plenty of base options.
Salmon and tuna are the most dominant options and they carry some unique toppings. Kimchi, pickles, ika (squid) sansai salad and hot cheetos are just a few things on the bar you can add.
Finish off with their house sauce and you've got a nice quick lunch for about $15.
It's harder to justify paying $15 - $20 for quick service these days but when you feel taken care of and appreciated you best believe I will come back.
If I'm late for my morning coffee nearby I''m stopping in for lunch here when I can. Jina/Gina is that reason for me and this poke spot.“

“Glad to find a hidden sushi gem in Hacienda heights. I have been living in HH for 10+ years and we have been lacking authentic quality sushi. Theres a few Japanese restaurants in the area but unfortunately they are pretty westernize in terms of quality and options.
I have visited Sushi land a few times with my wife and the quality of the fish are great for the price and staffs were nice.“

“We left raging waters and wanted sushi. This place was close by and there was no wait for a party of 7 on a Saturday. They seem to do a lot of to go orders and delivery. The food was very good and the service was on point. Highly recommend.“

“Yes, I already have a review of Sushi Fire (and I stand by it), but I am compelled to add another review, here’s why.
My wife and I come here quite often these days. In fact, it is one of the very few restaurants we are still willing to spend our money at. (The dismal state of cuisine in Southern California is a topic for another day.)
Why? Because the food is good. It tastes good. It looks good.
No, they do not serve $30 per piece Bluefin Otoro, nor do they serve $400 a box Akatsuki Uni. Don’t get me wrong, they’re probably amazing (I will never know), but I don’t live in Bill Gates or Jeff Bezos world, nor do I live in Robert De Niro’s world, for that matter. I live in the real world, where $40 for one meal is a heck of a lot of money, but I’m willing to pay it, if it is good.
And Sushi Fire is definitely good.
In the past year that we have been frequenting Sushi Fire, I have gotten to know Winston. I started asking him to make me something different, something I have never had before. This is how Winston came up with the “Chef’s Special”.
The Chef’s Special is nothing more than Winston’s creative imagination. Almost every time it is different, but it is always good. I’ve uploaded a bunch of pictures here of Winston’s Chef’s Special, so take a look and see how creative he can be. (I call them all “Chef’s Special”)
I invite you to stop by and put yourself in Winston’s hands (it helps if you sit at the sushi bar). Ask him for a Chef’s Special (let him know if there’s anything you don’t like). Then, all you have to do is sit back and let him amaze you.
Definitely my favorite place right now. Way to go Winston! Way to go Sushi Fire!“

“Hi again to all you gastronomic foodies. Today's food adventure took us to Aoki sushi in La Verne California. If you are in the area please give them a try. The food was very good and fresh. You will notice right away as you walk in, that the atmosphere is rustic but inviting. The service was warm prompt and friendly and the food was very good, the sushi was very battery and succulent. We shared a bento box and a rainbow roll for our lunch, it was so good. Not only were we very happy with the quality but there was plenty of food to fill both of us up. Remember my friends as always, to stay happy, be mindful and be the best you. " One great meal can change the world" so let's start changing the world.“

“Excellent service and food! Our family are regulars there and we joined them for lunch and had a delicious meal. Shout out to Abel and the entire lunch crew. You all were wonderful especially with our large group (including babies). The ramen, various sushi rolls, tempera, asparagus appetizer, miso soups and rice were all excellent and full of flavor! Highly recommend! Excited to go back. Oh and would love to see a vegetarian broth option for the ramen if ever possible! That would be an awesome addition. Thanks again!“

“The service at little Tokyo exceeded all expectations. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also displayed a genuine passion for the culinary creations. They were attentive without being intrusive, and their recommendations were spot-on. Special dietary requests were accommodated with a smile, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. The pacing of the courses was perfect, allowing us to savor each moment without feeling rushed.“

“Show Sushi is an AYCE sushi spot with a huge variety of options, from classic rolls to specialty rolls, sashimi, and cooked items. The selection is definitely the highlight—plenty to choose from and great if you’re coming hungry and want to try a little of everything. The food itself was decent and satisfying for an all-you-can-eat place.
However, the experience was brought down by the service. I understand they can get very busy, but the attitude of both the waiter and the host lady felt unwelcoming and a bit rushed. Friendly service goes a long way, especially in a place where guests are spending time ordering multiple rounds. Overall, good variety and solid AYCE value, but the service could really use improvement to match the food.“

“I went here for the first time on a Monday evening. The service was really good and on point on this day. Staff was always checking on us, always making sure our stove was clean or removing finished dishes. I got us the Deluxe meal. The spicy baby octopus was good. The gyōza dumplings and egg rolls were really good. They have sushi as well. Their menu can be accessed by QR code or you can ask for a physical menu.“

“The sushi here is good! Only problem is this place takes forever to bring out your food and it comes out one at a time. Mind you its pretty much empty the times i do go. Maybe hire more staff for faster service. Other than that very nice people and great food :)“

“Not many places in LA offer hard to get fish from Japan. I was impressed with their unique fresh fish and the quality of sushi. I will definitely return for another great experience. I sat at the sushi bar and had great service from the chef.“

“You came back hungry and got the perfect welcome — a spread that looks both filling and delicious. 🍣🥗
On the long plate, you’ve got a mix of sushi varieties:
• A beef-topped gunkan (ground or marinated beef wrapped with seaweed).
• A spicy minced topping, likely spicy tuna or spicy salmon.
• Grilled eel (unagi) with that glossy sweet soy glaze.
• Shrimp nigiri with a touch of sauce.
• At the bottom, wrapped in plastic, looks like a musubi — rice with grilled meat or spam, perfect for later.
On the side, a fresh salad with crisp lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and dressing — and best part, it’s unlimited. 🥗✨
By the last picture, you’ve also got a dipping sauce ready and a sushi roll off to the side, so you’re set for a feast.
If you walked into this starving, that first bite must have hit the spot.“

“We came out here from LA and this place was better than a lot of LA sushi spots! Such delicious creative rolls! I’m allergic to imitation crab meat and they had a lot of rolls without it, which is a good sign because that means the chef gets more creative with ingredients for rolls. Fish was great quality, sauces were amazing. Service was lovely. I can’t wait to come back!“
