I’m allergic to imitation crab meat and they had a lot of rolls without it, which is a good sign because that means the chef gets more creative with ingredients for rolls. Fish was great quality, sauces were amazing. Service was lovely. I can’t wait to come back!“

“The sushi here was excellent. The rice in the two rolls had a hint of yuzu that really elevated the flavor. Yuzu can sometimes be overpowering, but the chef used it perfectly to enhance the overall taste. It really brought the entire roll together. I especially enjoyed the Crunchy Albacore Roll—the balance of flavors was spot on.
The chirashi bowl was also plentiful and a great value for the price. The fish was very fresh, but the standout part was the rice. I’ve honestly never had sushi rice quite like this before. In addition to the classic vinegary sushi rice flavor, there was a subtle hint of yuzu that added an extra layer of freshness. When paired with the fish, it made the whole experience feel even more elevated.
If you come between 5:00 and 6:30, they offer 15% off during happy hour, which makes the experience even better.

“A Delightful Sushi Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The chef’s special sashimi, were bursting with flavor. The nigiri was a standout, with perfectly seasoned rice and melt-in-your-mouth fish. Service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. One thing to note: Fillet doesn’t have a liquor license yet, so if you’re someone who enjoys pairing sushi with sake or wine, this might be a consideration. They said it’s coming soon, I can’t wait to come back here again.“

I got a combo plate and unlike other Japanese restaurants I actually got beef that was properly cooked. After seeing the portions of the sushi rolls I will try those out next time because they were giant. Will definitely return.“

“Food was amazing! Tried the chefs combo(turns out the chef I had was also the owner) to which every piece of sushi had a good portion of their choice on top. Miso soup was good and tried their double salmon roll special. Very flavorful and good portion on the inside and out. Place inside is small but doesnt feel cramped, servers and chef are hospitable and ambiance is calm. Great for a date or even just to relax. Definitely returning!

“I really loved this place! Such a good spot for date night. I really enjoyed the bbq ribs appetizer. My boyfriend had the fried oysters appetizer all to himself. I loved the albacore served with very thin slices of onion and a small bed of rice. The California roll was superb. Washed it all down with their Nigori sake & crème brûlée. Love that they are open late on Saturdays too. 10/10 for me 😍“

“One of our favorites for family night or date night!“

“So this was my first time doing Omakase. Wow what an experience. I will start off to say that the service was fantastic. They really take care of you . We ordered some sake and waited for the 6 course chef’s choice meal to start coming out. As you can see from the pictures the presentation was fantastic. All the fish had such good flavor and buttery goodness. Such amazing flavors. I for the life of me cannot remember anything that we got in particular but all I know is that it was delicious. I know I did try some stuff that I normally wouldn’t have but all tasted fantastic. Service was just top notch , they saw our sake cup was empty they would come over and refill for us. WOW! It’s a tiny place and started to fill up after they opened at 11:30am. We had reservations for 11:30am at the bar. Does seem to be a very popular spot definitely would go back and try some other stuff. Had a great time hanging with My close friend . Will be back.

“This is truly a secret gem in the city. I'd recommend anyone from Pomona or anyone passing through to try this place at least once. Food is great the people are nice the vibe excellent. I love how they decorated the inside to give a unique authentic feel. My favorite go to dish here is the spicy seafood Ramen, the sushi are great as well. 😄👍“

“I order takeout from here all the time because the food is very very very good. The service is always very excellent My only concern is where it's located. I usually get delivery because I don't like the location of where this is. If it wasn't located where it is I would definitely be going there quite often. Got a 2 protein poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I asked for half rice and half salad, but wow there's a LOT of rice. My brother didn't mind since he likes rice, but I was a bit peeved. (EDIT: Oh, also the poke bowl is drowned in sauce. My brother loves eel sauce so he was glad, but just letting other customers know!)

The staff behind the counter was nice and was patient with me while I was asking my brother for the toppings and sauces that he wanted in his poke bowl. Sorry I took so long, at least there was no one in the store!

“It’s a very small place, you have to park on the side or front street of the location. Placed a pick up order. Greeted as soon as I walked in. It wasn’t busy, so my order was ready when I got there. “Glad to find a hidden sushi gem in Hacienda heights. I have been living in HH for 10+ years and we have been lacking authentic quality sushi. Theres a few Japanese restaurants in the area but unfortunately they are pretty westernize in terms of quality and options.

I have visited Sushi land a few times with my wife and the quality of the fish are great for the price and staffs were nice.“

“Hi again to all you gastronomic foodies. Today's food adventure took us to Aoki sushi in La Verne California. If you are in the area please give them a try. The food was very good and fresh. You will notice right away as you walk in, that the atmosphere is rustic but inviting. The service was warm prompt and friendly and the food was very good, the sushi was very battery and succulent. We shared a bento box and a rainbow roll for our lunch, it was so good. Not only were we very happy with the quality but there was plenty of food to fill both of us up. The food was great, a little pricey but that’s expected with Sushi. I recommend getting the mushrooms as an appetizer! I also want to give a shoutout to Megan who was our server that day. She was really sweet and attentive, really enjoyed her positive spirit while we were there. I managed to get a Polaroid with her that they were doing for Valentines Day. Overall great lunch. “I went here for the first time on a Monday evening. The service was really good and on point on this day. Staff was always checking on us, always making sure our stove was clean or removing finished dishes. I got us the Deluxe meal. The spicy baby octopus was good. The gyōza dumplings and egg rolls were really good. They have sushi as well. Their menu can be accessed by QR code or you can ask for a physical menu.“
