“My fiancé and I found your restaurant Saturday afternoon while sightseeing the city. We were so impressed with the atmosphere and hospitality. This place is the best for nice afternoon seafood lunch! Thank you so much for the delicious meal.“

“As a midwesterner, a straight from the docks seafood place like this is a dream. Completely blew our modest budget there and am SO glad I did. Chowder wasn't new England or Manhattan style but unique and superb.
Despite the long list of great restaurants in SF, I probably return to Popi's on my next visit.“

“Menu here changes by the season but we were thoroughly impressed by all the dishes we got - unique flavours that came together well.
Must try: their potato chips, beef tartare, ice cream sundae and the peanut milk (that was really unique)“

“Had San Francisco Cioppino (Mussels. Clams, Crab, Cod, Prawns, Scallops and Garlic Bread that was the bomb). Only giving 2 thumbs up as I only have 2. Great food, great service!“

“I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 30 minutes before my girlfriend and I were seated outside in a very spacious enclosed parklet.
The service was very friendly. Everybody, servers and cooks, were incredibly helpful and answered all my questions with a smile.
I figured if I'm going to an oyster bar, I better try the oysters. I had six meaty, juicy oysters ($22.50) from three different regions. It was fun to compare them from each other. My girlfriend ordered the penne pasta with prawns topped with rich red sauce and melted cheese ($33). It was absolutely delicious and rivals many local Italian restaurants. I also ordered the crab burger and clam chowder ($36). The clam chowder was hot, creamy and not too salty. The burger came with a good amount of crab. It looked like imitation crab, but it was much bolder and heartier.
I'd come back here whether for a date night or a solo evening slurping oysters at the bar. The food is pricey, but if you're into quality seafood options beyond fish, I'd definitely recommend it.“

“Run, do not walk, to Luke’s and order the lobster, crab and shrimp roll sampler. Everything was amazing from the service to the food. The seafood was so fresh and tasty, the bread rolls are like Chinese egg bread and they top it off we chips (if you don’t like too much salt get the original sea salt ones).
We stopped for a late lunch and had to skip dinner!“

“Best Haitian food in the Bay Area hands-down! This was our first time trying Haitian food and it did not disappoint. Oxtail meat fell off the bone, jerk chicken spice was perfect. All the sides were more than what we could've asked for. Service was friendly, quick and welcoming. Will definitely return soon“

“Waterbar is a solid option for an afternoon meal along the waterfront. The food is well-prepared, with a strong focus on fresh seafood, and the wine list offers a good variety to pair with the menu. Service is efficient and professional without feeling rushed. The space itself is clean and modern, with a comfortable atmosphere that works well for a relaxed lunch or early dinner. The location is a key feature—tables along the windows provide direct views of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, which adds to the overall experience.“

“Hands down our favorite go-to restaurant when we are in the city going out to dinner, or when we are looking to take out-of-towners someplace truly unique, or when we are looking to bring the most delicious dinner home. The seafood is as fresh and high quality as it gets, served in the most unique way. Start with the chowder, packed with a wide variety of shellfish, spiced just right with a little kick to it, neither New England nor Manhattan, they have invented a new broth that is both rich and flavorful while being light. The Scallops are a must try. They simply melt in your mouth with a burst of complex flavors. The small plate tostadas meld flavors and textures you just can’t find anywhere else. Although it is located on Divisadero in a multi-block long string of restaurants, the atmosphere inside has the feel of the most comfortable neighborhood bistro. Impecable service all at a very reasonable price for the quality and the creativity and joy the food will bring to your palate.“

“Food was super delicious! Check pea flour fried artichokes hearts we yummy, Deviled eggs are the best starter and a must have on every visit. This was our first time having the Shrimp Louie salad and it is now my favorite in all of SF. It is shredded and ready to eat. Presentation alone has high marks and the flavors were perfectly balanced. We split the Cioppino with the added pasta on the side. Yuu-uuuummmmm! Lots of seafood and the soup base had us making deals for the dregs at the end.“

“Had lunch at the little shucker. It is an interesting place. Lunch menu is simple and focused on seafood. All seafood dishes are fresh and cooked to perfection. The salad didn’t look too appealing but tasted delicious. Actually we loved everything we ordered. Our favorite appetizer is scallop tartare and Brussels sprouts. The roasted whole fish is also excellent. The portion is small but we don’t mind. They definitely deserve a five star rating for food. However the plates were really shabby and worse than those used in school cafeterias. I would not use these for my dogs or cats. The decorations are also very bland. I think the purpose might be to create a casual and relaxing atmosphere. Chairs and benches are not comfortable. I would probably come for a quick bite or a glass of wine but not a real sit down meal with friends.“

“Haven’t been in years and boy howdy! It’s upgraded and then some. It’s not as divey as it used to be, but what’s here now is pretty cool! More places to hang (upstairs and down) with more views. The menu is expanded but still simple, good cocktails. The food has definitely improved a couple of levels and the prices are great for what you get. Awesome, friendly staff that wants you to have a great time!“

“The Peking duck was fabulous and juicy! We got a half, which we were surprised how little it was. We should have had a full. You have to reserve the duck before you get there.
We had a meat roll I think it was. It was amazing! My friends mom doesn’t like spicy so we got this roll. Highly recommend! Lots of veggies and excellent sauce!“

“Had a reservation, but a physical problem in late afternoon required cancellation. However there is no telephone number and no way to let restaurant know -- and a default charge of $40.
Apparently this isn't restaurant policy. They contacted us within an hour and refunded the money -- and said they're looking for another reservation service.“

“Delightful food and service. Incredibly attentive host—always had enough water and the food came out hot and fresh with clear attention to ingredients and cooking method. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer, lamb tenderloin, and gnocchietti. Lamb tenderloin was perfectly cooked! The gelato flavors were extremely unique (goat cheese and fig, and rum raisin). Thanks, Cheryl, for having us!“
