“The food they serve is actually fresh, not the frozen type, but they do make it upon request. For example, I love fresh diced grilled country potatoes, not that stringy stuff you add water to to cook. Some people like it so just ask for hash browns and they will cook it for you.

“We arrived before our reservation time and they were able to accommodate. Our waiter was great with detailing the dishes and answering my culinary questions. Service was slow. It took nearly 25 minutes to receive cocktails. I had to inquire about appetizers which were ordered with cocktails. The GM was very present and walking the dining area but not speaking to any guests or acknowledging that they are waiting without drinks and food. The food was good. I have a different palate so my good may great for another person. The only negative was how long everything took when it wasn’t a night where there was a full house of guests. If that can improve, we may return. For context we ordered Smoked Bourbon Prickly Pear Margarita Calamari Crab & Artichoke Dip Crab Stuffed Sole topped with roasted garlic and shallot shrimp and a side of mashed potatoes Ribeye with compound butter and Cold Water Lobster Tail We switched from cocktails to wine with the main dish.“

“Great to have a Chinese restaurant with such beautiful views in the South Bay. The food is great, the seafood is fresh, and the portions are generous. We recommend coming with a few people to try different dishes with a family style approach rather than ordering individually.

There is a parking lot and street parking on the larger side streets if it is fully. After your meal, there is a nice walk near the bay to help you digest and catch views of airplanes landing and taking off San Francisco Airport.“

“Anchored in the bay, all the way from Puget sound and a dinghy ride in for food. Walked around and quickly realized this was the busiest spot in town. Cold beverages outside made the wait alright. The "award winning" fish and chips were great! Calamari too. Great food, generous portions & good view of our boats. Staff was fun too. Cheers!“

“Solid Korean and Chinese food Restaurant. My husband and I favorite food is their spicy marinated raw crab so addicting and delicious. We usually order the crispy garlic scallops, HK noodles and crispy garlic string beans. So far majority of their food has been really good and tasty. All the staff are friendly and courteous. The owner is husband and wife they are so friendly and very welcoming so pleasant to talk to. Their portion is big“

“From the super nice lady that took my order over the phone, to the friendly person at the register, I was impressed by the amazing service.

The food was tasty and fresh- especially all the veggies in our curry and garlic chicken - big pieces of fresh broccoli, carrot, and cabbage. The yellow curry was my favorite. I think I will ask for extra garlic on the garlic chicken next time- I love a lot of garlic.

“We had an absolutely lovely experience here! Came for my boyfriend’s birthday, everyone was friendly and attentive. Fantastic high end ambience. The food was almost too beautiful to eat and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. One of our guests said it was the best spaghetti he had ever had! The mushroom risotto was perfection. I had the Chilean sea bass and WOW! The salmon was also amazing. The other two guests had roasted chicken and hangar steak… I didn’t get to try them but they looked amazing and everyone cleaned their plate even though we were full lol! We will absolutely be back. Food: Most of the foods are grilled or fried. All of them are tasty and fresh. Many fish choices, sauces, and sites to choose from. My favorite sauces are garlic butter and Cajun. The fish and chips are very good with tartar sauce. The grilled sea bass fish are very flavorful and would recommend having sauce on the side.

Generous self serve salsa bar, delicious Chipotle, Verde, pickled jalapeños and carrots, and spicy peppers and mango salsa (I miss the spicy cucumber salad they used to have all the time. I can make a whole side dish out of their salsa bar while I wait for my order, which makes this my favorite taqueria in town. “We love Burmese food. For years, if we wanted Burmese food, we would have to drive at least 30-40 min to SF or South Bay, so having Burma Spice in our neighborhood is a dream come true!

Burma Spice hosted our daughter's high school graduation luncheon on May 23rd and we couldn't have been happier! We had about 30 guests in a separate area in the back of the restaurant. Kham and Raymond were so nice and helpful in planning the menu for our gathering.

Everything was served family style. We ordered
- Tea Leaf Salad- the perfect ratio of fermented tea leaves and ingrediants.
- Samosas- light, crispy, and so flavorful
- Nan Gyi Thoke- the noodles were perfectly cooked, not mushy, and the curry was creamy and delightful.
- Basil Lemongrass Chicken- fresh basil, and lemongrass really made this dish a popular topic.
- Pumpkin Veggie- Nice ratio of pumpkin and other veggies, very hearty.
- Kebat Lamb- savory, packed full of rich spices, the onions add so much texture and flavor as well.
- Jasmine Rice

Plus plenty of yummy tropical cocktails for the adults.

They set up a little table for the cake, and some graduation items that we brought. They really went out of their way to make our celebration comfortable.

Everything was in generous portions, fresh and expertly prepared. My guests raved about the food and service. Some of my guests had never tried Burmese food before and now in their meal rotation.

We didn't realize that we had stretched into their rest period between lunch and dinner because they were so gracious about not rushing us.

I highly recommend Burma Spice in Redwood City for any meal or occasion. The restaurant is such a gem in our neighborhood and the service is friendly.“
