We hosted a farewell brunch for a wedding weekend there...the buffet was fresh and beautifully displayed --chorizo, eggs, a variety of salsa and toppings, homemade tortillas, fresh fruit and mimosas. The ambiance was sunny, open and chic. Nadia, their event coordinator, pulled this together for us on just a few week's notice. She is very professional, accommodating and creative. Michael and his wait staff made sure our guests had a plenty of food and drinks no matter what time they arrived. The event exceeded our expectations. And we can't wait to go back for dinner the next time we're in town. Thank you Fresco Cociina for the perfect ending to a great wedding weekend!“

“Delicious brunch at Cocina de Barrio! We are big fans of the chain and this was our first time at this location and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Tia Chata drink which has a coconut popsicle that was a lot of fun as well as a blonde ale. For entrees we had the salmon hash and sopes benny. We sat on the dog friendly patio. The service was very friendly and quick, water always getting refilled. The restrooms have changing tables. Recommend, everything on the menu tastes amazing.“

“In town Camping at South Carlsbad State Beach and drove to check this place out. I had read they have really good fi as h tacos at s great price ( 11/7/24 $1.30). They definitely are good & filling ! I left happy & full. My wife got a Carne Asada Burrito that she really liked. Nice friendly prompt service and a Salsa Bar too ! 👍 it’s a smallish walk up and order type restaurant in a strip mall but that doesn’t distract from the good food at all with indoor & outdoor seating. We were there on a Thursday evening and the place was busy with lots of take out orders from the locals. We’ll definitely be back when in town“

“Ranking for the category of fast casual mexican food, emphasis on seafood. Nice looking and clean, new remodel of a former pizza place in the strip mall. Great service, large menu with a seafood focus and beer & wine. The food was fresh made and tasty. We did not have seafood, but we enjoyed the standard staples. The chicken flautas were crisp but not overcooked. Fries were good. Quesidillas were cooked perfectly and flavorful. Street tacos were a delight. The chilie rellenos/enchilada combo was excellent. Horchata tasted great, but was a little thin, but very refreshing. The guacamole tasted like fresh avocado, excellent, but could use some spices and onion, tomato, etc. The salsa served with chips was just OK. Flavor was good but the salsa was very thin and watery, did not scoop on the chip, and was a disappointment. The chips were OK, but not served warm and tasted like out of a bag. The sour cream also was very thin and quickly became runny, I suggest getting better salsa and sour cream. The food quality was great, and I would eat here again. Plenty of parking and great ADA access. Kid friendly, and a kids menu. A good family place. Service was quick and efficient, and the staff were smiling and friendly, and very knowledgeable.“
