“Another wonderful dinner at The Bungalow. We snuck in on the last night of OC Restaurant Week. Peter enjoyed the Corn Chowder Soup, 10 oz. lobster tail with mashed potatoes. And creamy Cheesecake (to go). So amazing. I had the Blackened Salmon and it was perfect. The sauce was Devine and a dollop of guacamole on top were so flavorful. “There are only 14 tables, but the staff were wonderful. The prices demand it but you will get attentive service. And the ambience is spectacular. You get to sit by a dock with water right next to you. It is a very romantic place. They don’t have any loud music which is great. Their wine list is extensive. And with the corkage being $75 may as well try their wines.The cuisine is French, which I love. The scallops were perfect. I did not like the gravy as much as it tasted overly sweet. The pork loin was only OK because it could be more tender and it was a little dry. The brioche bread pudding is good though I make it better. I loved the mushroom soup.“

It was packed in there and almost closing time when we went, but to see all the staff work together and get everyone taken care of quickly and efficiently was cool to watch and experience. The black beans are DELICIOUS! The Zucchini was grilled to perfection. If you haven't tried the grilled corn, do it... you won't regret it! The fries were PERFECT... the crunchiness was uniform on all of them, not a soggy one on the plate!“

The noise was a little too loud for my liking since is a small place and they crammed a bar in the front entrance of the restaurant. “This place is awesome. Last night was my second time going there. My friend recommended this place to me, because she lives in the area. And every time she recommend something to me or takes me somewhere to eat, it's awesome. The food is unbelievable. The service is friendly and top bar. The drinks are the bomb. The atmosphere is great. I was very happy both times. I would go back again in a minute! And definitely ask James to be your server. He was the best server ever last night. I think I might have had the best filet mignon of my life at this place last night. The grilled lobster is great. The seared scallops are the bomb. I highly recommend it.“

“We waited over 2 hours to be seated on a Friday night but it was well worth the wait. It is honestly the best sushi I've had in awhile and for a price you can't beat. I can see why this place is highly rated on yelp. The quality of the fish was great, the taste was amazing, the service was prompt and friendly. It is great to see such a busy place run smoothly. All I have to say is bring your patience and appetite.Parking: It is located in a busy plaza. You should find parking within the plaza .“

It's not refined or snoody, it's just damn good.They season their chips. The lowly give-away that most places serve stale as low-cost hunger appeasement filler, is done fresh and treated with care. Putting forth effort into making the most basic parts of the menu delicious means they really want everything they put out to be delicious. The thought and care behind the quality of their items is often sought but rarely found. Also, the salsa with their chips is really bomb.You can't go wrong with the BBQ short rib sandwich, chowder fries, or fresh ceviche.“

“Small family run business, but owner and staff are very friendly. Seafood is fresh and wild caught and prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food. The dishes come hot and freshly prepared from the kitchen to your table. The seafood were all expertly prepared and cooked perfectly. I love the nice crisp on the salmon and snapper and their fresh grilled vegetables. The owner gave our birthday girl a complimentary bread pudding dessert.“

My Finnish grandmother in Minnesota fried her freshly caught walleyed pike in lots of butter and there wasn't a more heavenly aroma or taste to be found. I haven't had fish that tasted like that since 1965, until Friday night 3/8/24. The farro that the fish was served on top of was excellent. The ambience reminds me of restaurants in Nevada City CA -- rustic, woodsy and salt of the earth. I highly recommend this restaurant for the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience.“

My favorite items were the Vietnamese steak and eggs (super tender meat and flavorful sauce) and the Cajun seafood platter (tender crawfish, shrimp, clams, and mussels). The $4 extra for live/fresh seafood is totally worth it. The seafood platter comes with delicious bread, which was perfect when dipped in the sauce! The crispy calamari was delicious (batter wasn’t too thick). The hot stone pho was average. I personally didn’t notice a significant difference between pho in a hot stone bowl vs regular pho. My bf loved the garlic noodles, but I thought it needed more flavor. All the items we got I would probably give 5/5 stars except for the pho and the garlic noodles, which I would give 3/5 stars“

First, Chef Masa is the nicest most friendly Chef there is, and all his staff are friendly and spot on with water refills and quick service. The fish he gets is some of the freshest and best quality out there. For cooked food Try the salmon collar. It's the melt in your mouth part of the salmons neck and cheek, and prepared expertly! Everything I've had, from the fresh oysters, the halibut carpaccio, the Takowasa, and Takoyaki, they spicy yellow tail lover roll and al the sashimi- has been perfect. Can't recommend enough !“
