“I was having serious udon craving today, so I had to hit up Marugame Udon. Waited about 10 minutes, then grabbed a large Nikutama hot udon. As you move down the line, there’s freshly made tempura calling your name 😂—I grabbed the egg, sweet potato, shrimp, and a few others. Then hit the self-serve toppings for scallions and more. First bite… BOOM! Deep, flavorful broth, thin-sliced beef, and those perfectly chewy noodles. Loved it! The tempura was crispy, crunchy, and tasty, especially the egg—fluffy inside, crispy outside. Super satisfying meal, and the best part? I got to walk around the mall afterward and pretend I was burning off all those calories. 😂🔥“

“Such a cute spot next to UCI! The interior decor is gorgeous — such a vibe! They have beer, sake, and COFFEES! Everything on the menu looks soo good. Many of the rolls use the same ingredients so that’s an area for potential improvement, but didn’t take away from the experience.

Service was great, our server was very kind and attentive. I didn’t love that water for the table was already sitting on each table when we arrived, it looked like it had been there all day. The ginger and wasabi was a similar situation, it didn’t look fresh, but when we requested more the server immediately replaced it!

It was so quiet and chill in this area, and they have outdoor seating as well where families were hanging out. Very mellow and cute.

The staff is amazingly attentive, the chefs are kind and personable, and the food has beautiful presentation to match its flavor.

I came for the first time a week ago while looking for a good sushi spot in Tustin. Since then, I have been four times, one for dinner and three for lunch. I have brought five different people here, and they all share the same feelings as me.

As far as the prices go, this place is 1000% worth it. The quality and preparation make it significantly better than other sushi restaurants.

I had the best experience at Tabu Shabu! I sat out on the patio with my dog and it was absolutely perfect—comfortable, welcoming, and such a great vibe. I ordered a glass of wine and started with the cucumber appetizer and edamame, both super fresh and full of flavor. The highlight was the salmon bowl with rice…so delicious, perfectly cooked, and so satisfying. The service was friendly, the food came out quickly, and they made me (and my pup!) feel totally at home. I think everyone came out at some point to visit with me and my pup. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great food, a relaxing atmosphere, and a dog-friendly spot for a drink and apps (cant do hotpot outside, but still worth it).“

“I had a light dinner of super delicious, fresh sashimi salad and miso soup. Both were wonderful. Good food must make you happy, because all of the staff and the customers at the sushi bar were very sweet and friendly. I will definitely go back.“

“We had such a wonderful dinner at Anjin. Everything we ordered was delicious, but my favorites were definitely the Kainomi, the Anjin Seaweed Salad, and the orange sherbet at the end.

The Kainomi was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the seaweed salad was fresh, light, and perfectly seasoned. The orange sherbet was also such a refreshing way to finish the meal.

I honestly wanted to try so many more dishes, but since there were only two of us, we could only order so much. Next time, I would love to come with a bigger group so we can try more of the menu.

My friend and I had a wonderful time, but we were unaware of the fact that they closed at three so we had to hurry at the end! Next time I'll come in a little earlier! “We had a wonderful dining experience at Ootoro Bar! The sashimi and sushi were incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The Umami truffle pasta was rich and flavorful, and the sea bass was perfectly cooked 👍 I also really enjoyed the avocado & seaweed salad — so refreshing and delicious.

Overall, the food is great and flavorful. The curry is slightly sweet and savory, not the floral or overly spiced one. I love that the food stays hot since they're served on sizzling plates/bowl. I loved dipping my burger into the sauce. It was definitely an experience!

The service (from Elaine) was excellent and there is ample parking. I recommend! OH, kids eat free on weekdays.“

“We’ve been here several times now, and it never disappoints. The prices are honestly some of the best around, especially for the quality and portion sizes you get. They have a huge selection of sushi rolls, so there’s something for everyone, and everything we’ve tried has been fresh and delicious. The baked lobster roll is definitely worth ordering! The staff is always friendly, service is quick, and the atmosphere is relaxed. If you’re looking for great sushi without spending a fortune, this place is hard to beat. “The last hidden gem in Costa Mesa. This easily tops waiting for chick fil a down the street. I let the cashier guide my order because I was too tired to come to a decision. He suggested the special which was wise of him because it includes 4 karage (tender fried chicken thigh) a potato croquette, 3 cali roll pieces and a salad with potato salad, excellent for a post 9 hour work day meal. My pregnant wife got the 5 piece karage and said it changed her life for the better. I didn’t take pictures because I was so in awe and in the moment. It was photo ready. The food comes out RIPPING hot. Which made us so comfortable eating there, especially pregnant knowing they make everything actually fresh to order, cooked to appropriate temperature to ensure food safety. Not just marketing fresh, there is nothing siting here waiting for you to order, this is not fast food. They tell you it’s going to take a few minutes and it’s worth the wait because they do not compromise on quality here. With that being said it’s not even that long and I will no longer be visiting chick fil a when this place is open and it’s much healthier.

The interior style resembles what all Japanese restaurants should look like, and most importantly, the food and service was top notch. Today came to try the ramen, had a not so good experience ordering it here before and thought maybe it was just an off day, unfortunately it wasn't. I'm sort of a ramen snob, and we ordered the Tonkotsu and the Black ramen. Both were disappointing.the black ramen has a pork broth like the tonkotsu, but it seemed overly salty, as if the base was primarily soy sauce, and the regular tonkotsu although was a bit smoother still was lacking in flavor. The noodles were chewy and seemed almost as if they used noodles from a Top Ramen package. I'll continue to visit them for sushi on occasion, but that will be my last ramen attempt here.“
