A special THANK YOU to the amazing staff who found my wallet on the floor. I’m forever grateful for her kindness and honesty! That alone says so much about the wonderful people who work here.
And the FOOD?! Next level! The Yakisoba, the Wagyu beef, every dish, and the cocktails were absolutely incredible! Everything was delicious and made the whole experience unforgettable.

“Such a great find in Santa Monica! Great Happy Hour menu for both food and drinks and goes all day on Mondays. We asked our server what the ‘can’t miss’ menu items were and he nailed it. Corn ribs are the showstopper. The sashimi was so fresh. The black garlic shrimp was a little too salty for me but still a great flavor. Pork belly tacos were also a huge hit. I’d definitely go back.“

“Kappo Miyabi is a hidden gem. I work at a nearby hotel and I'm always happy to recommend this restaurant to our guests for an authentic Japanese meal. The menu has a great selection and the fish is super fresh. If you are looking for a lowkey, neighborhood feel and want to support a mom and pop that really cares, you should definitely check this place out.“

“It was amazing, we went there on Friday late at night and it was happy hour!!!! We had some amazing Albacore rolls for about $3.00!! What??? The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicately sweet, we tried a few things, the seaweed salad was great, all the food was great but the highlight was an A5 Wagyu skewer, on arrival it looked a bit small but the two pieces of grilled melting meat are more than enough to feel the amazing taste of the marbled wagyu, I didn’t really need more. The service is outstanding, all the staff is super polite and the prices are incredible at that time of night. I’m looking forward for next weekend to go try a few things we saw the waiter bringing to the tables, we sat at the bar and kept asking -what was THAT!! And they were so nice and polite to stop and explain the dishes. Lovely lovely.“

“We had just comeback from a trip to Kyoto/Tokyo and craving for sushi. Randomly picked this as it was close to the hotel stay. Sashimi and Nigiri were on-par with what you get in Japan and from the food we could tell the chef was really good. The person serving (from Osaka, forgot his name) was very nice and we had a very good dinner. If anything, for the pricing, my feedback would be to make the service (sake cups, chopsticks, ... the whole experience) more Japanese/authentic - it was clean, etc., don't let that take away from the food, which was excellent! We would go back here.“

“I came in for lunch to grab a quick snack and get some editing done on my phone. I just ordered a sake cocktail that they made delicious! And i also ordered the chicken meatball skewer, which came paired with egg to dip and I loved that sweet with salty combination so much! I would say I couldnt really get any work done on my phone as I don’t believe its a work friendly place although the tables are great to do so. They dont have outlets anywhere near the tables so if you need to charge your laptop or phone here is impossible to do unless behind the bar.
I just ready a book for a bit and enjoyed my cocktail and snack. I do think the atmosphere is more of a come in with friends and share a meal and gossip a bit. Or for dinner I think its also a great spot. I loved what i tried although it wasnt much. I would come again with a friend to have some cocktails and some snacks as the food and drinks were really delicious!“

“Wonderful food and service, the Omekase was the culinary highlight of my week in LA. Every course was delightful, varied, and complemented the others. My friend ordered off of the menu directly and the Gyoza was the best either of us had ever experienced. Highly recommended!“

“Stumbled on this place by accident before a show at the Wiltern. What a happy accident! Had a great spread, the Chicken Karage was fire, the sushi was fresh and the beer was cold! The scallop sushi with uni and truffle was the star of the meal. The server and the sushi chef were very friendly and accommodating especially considering we walked in without a reservation or any idea really where we were or what to expect. Will definitely be back!“

“I want to give five stars, but it seems like every time I go their soba machine is broken and all they have are appetizers 😭 I’ve had more experiences going there and they don’t have any soba available than them having soba… definitely call ahead to check if they have the dish the restaurant is based on 🥹

“We found this place by of chance needing to use the bathroom whilst walking around Venice and what a great find. Staff are lovely and welcoming and attended to us well. The place was very clean and the food was just right and so tasty. I will be returning when I visit again.“

“Great food, deluxe sushi sampler is a deal that’s very hard to beat, pk3 roll is legendary (but could have crispier nori).
Staff is attentive, very friendly and helpful. Always feel welcome.
Extremely disappointed to see an ai generated image in the advertising outside. It doesn’t look like food, is gross and shows the owners are happy to cut corners where they can instead of taking a real photo of the food they make, or (even better) hiring a local photographer to hell them. A photo of a roll isn’t that hard to take, but seeing a gross ai picture is what will stop me from coming here again. I don’t want to find out what other corners the owners cut if a single photo for their lunch stand is a task too hard for them. Big yikes, Kanpai.“

“Exceptional flavors in salmon carpaccio, shishito tacos were delicious and filling and the udon was cheesy and tasty. Our server never pushed us to buy anything and when I asked about one dish over the other, his sincere response made me get both! Amazing, quick service and intimate moody environment. I consider this a hidden gem and hope it stays this way! I didn’t take food pics because we were so hungry and devoured everything.“

“i absolutely love this restaurant! it's my new go-to sushi place. their fish is incredibly fresh & delicious. i find their prices very fair especially compared to other high scale sushi restaurants like matsuhisa & nobu. my favorite dishes are the hamachi yellowtail, spicy hamachi roll, spicy salmon roll, and salmon nigiri with caviar.
my only complaint would be that it was difficult to hear & understand the chef & servers when we were there because it was so loud/busy, but i'm not going to dock a star for that.“
