My husband and I keep coming back and have brought clients, friends, and family, and everyone has had a great experience. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate with dim lighting, limited seating, and a relaxed vibe set to tasteful hip hop in the background.

“I took two teenagers for lunch on our weekend trip to J town. We ordered lunch special items. My son ordered a salmon and ikura bowl and his friend I ordered a sushi set. The lunch items come with salad, miso soup, and side dishes, including a small serving of home made tofu.
It was enough to fill up hungry teenagers, and we enjoyed our food.“

This beautiful cozy ramen spot is just perfect in every way. Their appetizers are great, service and ambience simply the best and the ramen? S tier.

Creamy rich flavorful broth, tender pork cha shu. And noodles are just the right thickness.

“Izakaya Miyoung is an absolute hidden gem! We ordered the yakitori skewers, fish cake soup, and chicken wings, and let me tell you, every single bite was delicious. The portions were perfect for sharing, making it a great spot to come with friends.

Our waiter was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and spot-on with his sake recommendation, which paired beautifully with our food. The vibe here is warm and inviting, and I loved the interior design, it really adds to the whole experience.

This place is definitely going on my list of go-to spots. Can’t wait to come back, have some drinks, and try even more dishes from the menu!“

Had to order all the sauces because this spot is known for flavors must check it out its next to another good restaurant known for pho so this dumplings is a craving to go next door ill be back ! “My dinner at Kanpai Sushi in Santa Monica was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Yoshi is a true master sushi chef. While he may not be new to the craft, his skill, precision, and deep understanding of traditional sushi brought me back to a time when sushi was simply done right.

In fact, Chef Yoshi could probably serve me a shoelace, and it would be the best thing I’ve ever eaten.

Everything was exceptionally fresh. The wasabi had a vibrant freshness that elevated every bite, and the ginger practically melted in my mouth. I sampled as much toro as I could possibly eat, along with an incredible selection of fish that showcased Chef Yoshi’s mastery and attention to detail.

The Kumamoto oysters were so delicious they made me want to kiss my fingers and thank the heavens. The uni was phenomenal and remains one of my favorite bites of the evening. However, the biggest surprise was the seared salmon belly. It was my first time trying salmon prepared that way, and it absolutely blew my mind.

Instead of ending the meal with dessert, I finished with a hand roll that combined fresh tuna and crispy shrimp tempura, topped with eel sauce. The contrast of cool, fresh tuna and warm, crunchy shrimp tempura created an unforgettable bite and was a complete game changer.

I’ve been eating sushi since I was 18 years old, and now well into my 50s, I can confidently say this is the best sushi restaurant I have ever experienced. Beyond the incredible food, the staff was attentive, professional, and genuinely respectful throughout the entire evening.

I have officially found my favorite sushi spot.

“We had a great meal here on the roof top near the bar. The duck rice and duck meatballs were both great as was the Wagyu beef. The crispy chicken thigh was amazing and we also really like the dumplings. Every dish we shared was great and the kitchen did a very good job coursing out the dishes we ordered. We shared everything and there was plenty of food for our party of five. Even the deserts were outstanding. We shared the coffee gelato with cream and the mango fruit to end. The restaurant is very crowded and lively which makes for a fun evening. Very hard to get a reservation but worth the effort.“

“The man inside was nothing but kind to me. Im not from LA and my phone died trying to find my way back to my hotel. I went into Jersey Mikes and he refused to lend me a charger for a couple minutes. “While the ramen is quite good, try their other non-ramen offerings. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). “This is a nice little cozy spot for parties of all sizes. The atmosphere is chill with super cool seevice by Min. We ordered a couple of lunch specials that satisfied our cravings. Since my party is super picky it’s good to know they offer a little bit of everything. Their Seafood Udon was very flavorful and perfect for a chilly day or any day at that. The Bento Boxes were also winners with presentation and flavor. Since the dishes were so good we also decided to try out their Seafood Udon which was nice and spicy and just right for our tastebuds. Everything we had was satisfactory and we will definitely be back to try out more of the menu. Again, a big shoutout to Min for making our experience a memorable one. So if you’re in the area and looking for a nice variety then definitely check this place out if you can.“

“I just went to eat here for lunch on a Saturday to have sushi and I had the best experience. The food was great and the servers were very nice especially a really nice girl named Julia she made my dining experience so much better she was very nice and very attentive when serving she brought me water napkins and I didn’t even have to ask for anything. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi. The food is outstanding and the service is second to none. It’s my favorite restaurant to eat at.“

“I ordered kara miso ramen, bomb digity roll, baja california roll, and a beer pitcher.
The ramen was a little spicy, but it was the kind of spice I liked. The broth was rich and wasn’t too salty.

Both rolls tasted fresh. I’m pretty sensitive to fishy smells, but I didn’t notice any.
Rolls were also buy one, get one 50% off, which was a nice deal.

The beer pitcher was enough for two people.“
