“Very tasty and super friendly staff! We eneded up going with all recommendations from our waitress. Sweet potato and the Aburi Salmon were stand out but everything was delish. Their “margarita” sake cocktail was also really good.“

“A Michelin recognized restaurant that’s just perfect for a quiet evening. The atmosphere is chill and the playlist vey ear pleasing and well as the decor. Modern style design that’s chic and comfortable at the same time. We ordered the Wagyu Cheeseburger and Uni Pasta. Both of the dishes were good with flavor but the Uni pasta could’ve used a little more sauce but it’s a preference I guess. The cheeseburger came out looking like a hot mess but it delivered with flavor. The Basqu Cheesecake was the dessert we ordered and it was perfect with flavor and the presentation. Service was attentive and on point most of the time. So if you’re looking for a nice place to have a delicious bite or drinks then definitely check out this place, especially the gorgeous looking bar.“

This beautiful cozy ramen spot is just perfect in every way. Their appetizers are great, service and ambience simply the best and the ramen? S tier.

Creamy rich flavorful broth, tender pork cha shu. And noodles are just the right thickness.

“It was amazing, we went there on Friday late at night and it was happy hour!!!! We had some amazing Albacore rolls for about $3.00!! What??? The shrimp tempura was crispy and delicately sweet, we tried a few things, the seaweed salad was great, all the food was great but the highlight was an A5 Wagyu skewer, on arrival it looked a bit small but the two pieces of grilled melting meat are more than enough to feel the amazing taste of the marbled wagyu, I didn’t really need more. The service is outstanding, all the staff is super polite and the prices are incredible at that time of night. I’m looking forward for next weekend to go try a few things we saw the waiter bringing to the tables, we sat at the bar and kept asking -what was THAT!! And they were so nice and polite to stop and explain the dishes. Lovely lovely.“

“We had high hopes after reading the reviews but they had limited options avail for lunch. The set menus were just ok. The broth in nabeyaki udon was not good it tasted store bought very bland. My black cod was very soft but I think it should’ve been broiled more outside. It left us all wanting more than what we got.“

“We had just comeback from a trip to Kyoto/Tokyo and craving for sushi. Randomly picked this as it was close to the hotel stay. Sashimi and Nigiri were on-par with what you get in Japan and from the food we could tell the chef was really good. The person serving (from Osaka, forgot his name) was very nice and we had a very good dinner. If anything, for the pricing, my feedback would be to make the service (sake cups, chopsticks, ... the whole experience) more Japanese/authentic - it was clean, etc., don't let that take away from the food, which was excellent! We would go back here.“

“I came in for lunch to grab a quick snack and get some editing done on my phone. I just ordered a sake cocktail that they made delicious! And i also ordered the chicken meatball skewer, which came paired with egg to dip and I loved that sweet with salty combination so much! I would say I couldnt really get any work done on my phone as I don’t believe its a work friendly place although the tables are great to do so. They dont have outlets anywhere near the tables so if you need to charge your laptop or phone here is impossible to do unless behind the bar.
I just ready a book for a bit and enjoyed my cocktail and snack. I do think the atmosphere is more of a come in with friends and share a meal and gossip a bit. Or for dinner I think its also a great spot. I loved what i tried although it wasnt much. I would come again with a friend to have some cocktails and some snacks as the food and drinks were really delicious!“

“Kappo Miyabi is a hidden gem. I work at a nearby hotel and I'm always happy to recommend this restaurant to our guests for an authentic Japanese meal. The menu has a great selection and the fish is super fresh. If you are looking for a lowkey, neighborhood feel and want to support a mom and pop that really cares, you should definitely check this place out.“

“Izakaya Miyoung is an absolute hidden gem! We ordered the yakitori skewers, fish cake soup, and chicken wings, and let me tell you, every single bite was delicious. The portions were perfect for sharing, making it a great spot to come with friends.

Our waiter was fantastic, attentive, friendly, and spot-on with his sake recommendation, which paired beautifully with our food. The vibe here is warm and inviting, and I loved the interior design, it really adds to the whole experience.

This place is definitely going on my list of go-to spots. Can’t wait to come back, have some drinks, and try even more dishes from the menu!“

“We found this place by of chance needing to use the bathroom whilst walking around Venice and what a great find. Staff are lovely and welcoming and attended to us well. The place was very clean and the food was just right and so tasty. I will be returning when I visit again.“

“I’ve come to Kanpai since they opened and never had a bad meal. It’s our go-to Japanese comfort food place in Santa Monica. Love the selection of freshest sashimi and sushi. Excellent cooked dishes and best yuzu ramen in LA. Servers are really friendly and attentive. Happy Hour menu and 50% hand rolls are a great deal. Also love the plenty parking spaces in the rear.“

“Very trendy atmosphere plus super attentive and awesome staff with some pretty good food to go along with the drinks.

The pork katsu sando and pork buns are both delicious small bites but the real standout is the caramelized corn. Seriously, it's sweet, crispy, and addictive. If I had to select one thing off the menu it would be my pick for sure. The wagyu and pork curries are solid but unremarkable. I don't mean this is in a bad way, they're a little plain but nice, heavy, and pair well with a beer for lunch.

There's a selection of beers and sake but also some very interesting drinks for the curious. The earl grey milk highball is definitely unique. Overall definitely worth stopping by.“

“Absolutely love this place. Staff is so friendly and attentive, as well as the managers. Sat at the bar and was served by Emma, Julian, and Adam. They were so fun, lots of laughs, and knowledgeable about the menu. Emma actually remembered my drink order from a previous visit, which was super sweet and surprising. I was also greeted by a manager, Tom, who was very friendly as well. The food, 11/10. I live for the tempura vegetables, tuna handroll, the island rock cod. The filet mignon is the most tender, tastiest filet you'll ever have. Trendy place, the ambiance is just as great as the food and service. Highly recommend for a nice bite before a flight out of LAX or a night out with friends. No notes.“

“The man inside was nothing but kind to me. Im not from LA and my phone died trying to find my way back to my hotel. I went into Jersey Mikes and he refused to lend me a charger for a couple minutes. Katsu curry rice is very good here (katsu pork was prepared perfectly and curry flavorful) as well as their gyudon (beef over rice). “I just went to eat here for lunch on a Saturday to have sushi and I had the best experience. The food was great and the servers were very nice especially a really nice girl named Julia she made my dining experience so much better she was very nice and very attentive when serving she brought me water napkins and I didn’t even have to ask for anything.
