“Dropped by this place with family before grocery shopping in the same plaza. Parking was a mess on a Sunday at lunch time, so keep that in mind. The place wasn't busy so we sat right down and were promptly served.
I got the laksa, the rest of the family got pho. It's not quite the mindblowing laksa you could get in SE Asia, but for Daly City it was pretty good. The quest for a good bowl of laksa continues.
I liked how the restaurant has an additional sink outside the restroom, makes washing hands way more convenient. I wish they had fried tofu on the menu.
Pay cash to avoid the card premium.“

“Well, it’s been years since I’ve eaten here last and it does have some mixed reviews. But we were seated quickly and menus came immediately as did water as requested. The waiter took our order very soon after our menu and the food came in fast in less than five minutes!! I had #31 beef stew with wide noodles and my partner ordered #55 b which was bbq pork with vermicelli and an imperial roll. They were both delicious and flavorful. My small bowl still had a lot of ingredients and the broth was excellent!! Can’t ask for much more than what!! We’ll be back for sure to try other dishes!“

“Everything we ordered was good. In fact we couldn’t eat it all. Your pizza was so delish! Never had chow fun wrapped up in little rolls but it was pretty good. Your shaking beef salad was good too. Definitely a dining experience in Asian fusion!“

“With its friendly atmosphere, great food, and its gracious portions Yummy Yummy is a hidden gem of SF's Sunset district. Despite not having the fame of its neighbors this family owned phó spot will always be my go to for a nice warm meal, and great company. My wife and I have been coming here for years and not once have we ever had a bad meal. Upon entering you're greeted with a smile and the lovely aroma of home-cooked Vietnamese comfort food. Monday and Tuesday they are closed but please stop by for the best Pho in the city. I always recommend the #1 ( a beef broth Pho) and the #8 ( a beef and peanut broth Pho) and if you need a pick-me-up the Vietnamese iced coffee will keep you going for hours.
If you have a peanut allergy this place is not for you.
Dietary restrictions: Not peanut allergy friendly“

“Lots of food, especially for thr price. They don't clean up tables fast though.
Dietary restrictions: Therr's a lot of shellfish.

“The sandwiches are so good and so reasonably priced but I came at 11:50 on a Friday and waited 35 min for 2 sandwiches.
People call ahead and order like 10 things and there seems to only be one or two people in the kitchen so it can get extremely backed up. The really nice gentleman taking orders is very detailed and checks each order which also super slows things down.
Call ahead for your order or come before 11:30, or after 1pm. Otherwise it’s a complete disaster.“

“Top food, top service, simple atmosphere. Definitely a pleasant surprise for me. The food is worth the money. Ask about the portions, before you order. Two dishes could be enough for four people. Very recommendable.

“Really loved their crabs—so much that we ordered a second one even when we were almost full! We tried both the roasted and drunken flavors, and the roasted was definitely better. The garlic noodles were also super delicious and highly recommended. Everything we had was tasty, but the price was steep—over $300 for 2ppl (2 crabs, 1 noodle, 1 eggplant stir-fry, and 3 drinks) didn’t feel worth it. Great food, but not sure if it justifies the cost.“

“The best bowl of pho I've ever had. They have freshly made noodles as an option and I highly recommend getting the fresh noodles. The broth is flavorful and fatty, big, thick pieces of flank, so fatty, so delicious. Also got the iced Vietnamese coffee and it is strong, highly recommend getting both those options.“

“It's located in a slightly dangerous place, but it's not dangerous if you go straight into the store! The menu is diverse and the rice noodles are delicious~~~!
The portions were plentiful and the pho itself was delicious, so I went twice during my stay in San Fran! The second time, I ate the spring roll, and I was very satisfied because the filling was good and the sauce was delicious!!!!
Be sure to stop by when you want to eat rice noodles.“

“This place is the truth. I keep ordering the same thing - pork vermicelli with the extra side of rolls - and it is so, so good every time. I'll have to try some other items! Plenty of food (I'm a big eater), good price and friendly service. Enthusiastic 5 stars.“

“The best Vietnamese food in the Bay Area! Prices are excellent. Get the Number 5 to sample everything. I would come here at least one a week if I lived nearby! Order to go if you don’t want to sit in the tiny 10-person space. The food is worth it!“

“Colder rainy weather has activated my soup craving. I recently stumbled upon this Vietnamese restaurant, and it’s going to be my new ‘go to’ for pho. Pretty sure this was the best pho I’ve ever had. The broth is deep and flavorful and they don’t skimp on the meat portions
The real surprise was their magical made in-house chili oil. The service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Nice low key setting when you’re looking to avoid crowds or ‘it’ places. If you’re a pho enthusiast (or just looking for a great meal), you have to check this place out.“

“My Favorite quick lunch spot in this area.Generous portion(Banh Mi only), quick service(when you order online), inexpensive($10 in SF Downtown?! Only this place) tangy and tasty Banh Mi & Bowl.Among their various product, 5 spices Banh Mi / Shrimp Bowl(with Extra Noodle and Extra Fish Sauce) are my best.Vietnamese coffee is also good, I barely order it as my company has a coffee machine though...“

“One of the best banh mis in the city! My chicken banh mi was so flavorful, with crispy fresh veggies, perfectly toasted bread, and flavorful meat. And it only took them less than 2 minutes to make! Super impressed and highly recommend, looking forward to trying more of their menu.“

“Revisited this spot & still so good. Tried the vegan iced Thai tea for the first time and it was delicious!! The alternative is coconut milk fyi. My go to is the pork ban mi but most items I’ve had are good. A perf little spot after spending the day in Pacifica surf or hiking. Ps. Love that they are always blasting the jams in there!

“#3 - Banh Cuon Thit Nuong (warm rice rolls with grilled lemongrass pork and mint), a true crowd pleaser; fried shallots topping an added savory plus.
#29 - Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodle soup), built off a solid pho broth, but could have benefitted from more lemongrass, citrus, sweet.
On a recent morning visit, #21 - Pho Dac Biet (standard combination beef pho) unfortunately came lukewarm with over-cooked noodles.
Overall, solid Vietnamese in the TL worth a visit; I’m hoping the disappointing experience with morning pho was only a fluke and not the standard.“

“I've been here several times and the food is INCREDIBLE! I usually get the BBQ Chicken Sandwich and the Tofu Rolls which the person at the register recommended my first time. The Thai Tea is also great, and has a very rich flavor, though they don't offer the coffee jelly anymore. My husband usually gets the Tofu Over Vermicelli, which isn't on the menu but if you request they will likely make it. Love coming here!“

“There was a small wait during a weekend lunch, like 5-10min. The host/owner was very friendly! The food didn't take too long but wasn't super fast (not like a pho restaurant where it's just cooked ahead of time) so it felt more freshly made.
I ordered the dry noodles with braised duck leg. It came with a side of broth. The portions are large and the food was delicious! I would come back here again. I also got the fresh soy milk, which was in a smaller cup than I expected. Still good though.
They were very attentive. Our table was missing the jalapeno jar. which my friend likes. They must have seen us looking for it because they brought it over right away without us asking.
Small restaurant but doesn't feel claustrophobic or loud“

“Amazing experience. We phoned in an order for 3 dozen sandwiches, for pickup at 5:45pm for a Board of Education meeting (ordered around 2:15pm). The sandwiches were ready on time, and they offered to help us carry them. Everything was delicious and the crowd was pleased. Absolutely will keep DragonEats on the shortlist.“

“Super delicious Vietnamese restaurant and I would highly recommend anything and everything on the menu. Ordered the Bun Thit Bo Xao (lemongrass beef noodles without broth) and mango salad (which includes pork belly and shrimp). The lemongrass beef was plentiful and super tender, a great fish sauce based dressing on the side and plenty of veggies and noodles to pair with the beef. The mango salad is a must get, tender and plump pork belly, snappy fresh shrimp, sweet succulent mangoes. I would come back anytime.“

“Wow! Real great find! Has a wide variety Vietnamese menu at reasonable prices with very good and quick service!
No frills but looked busy with many locals enjoying their lunch! We both liked our food and would happily return!
There were signs indicating they only take MasterCard & Visa, so probably no AMEX here. Also, looked like they had a $10 minimum to use a credit card, but that's not really hard to meet.“

“Extremely surprised by amazing service. The food came out quickly. Vermicelli without broth was amazing. The spring rolls were a piece of art and tasted fresh, the peanut sauce was great, the manager suggested adding some spicy sauce which was great. The Pho version (or vermicelli with broth) they make was ok. We are used to more traditional versions but probably we should have picked the raw meat one to truly compare. The atmosphere was ok. Frequent visits from the delivery drivers are distracting, keeps the door constantly open and kills the vibe - a little rearrangement can solve it“

“This is a little gem in the world of 6th and Mission. Though I have no photos today, believe me that this shaking beef compares to none! It is that umami you forgot you needed in your life. The life outside of the restaurant is a lot at times to navigate, but this place is delicious!“

“Went here for a late dinner out of the blue while exploring Polk Gulch. There are many Asian restaurants in the area and I'm so happy we chose Hoi An. The service was great, no wait time. Seats by the window with outdoor seating options as well.
We had the Vietnamese Noodle dish with Filet and it was cooked to perfection and very tender and flavorful. Also had the vegetarian tofu curry with rice and that was great as well.
Vegetarian options: We had the tofu red curry over rice and the texture and flavor was rich and excellent for a good price. There were several other vegetarian and pescatarian options in the menu but as well as meat dishes. Something for everyone, good for taking a group and sharing dishes.“

“Great little area, food is super good, soup base needed nothing. I was gonna add in the sirracha, but I tasted the soup. Mind Blown. Perfect as is .There are huge portions, and I couldn't finish it all. Maybe because I drank all the soup.Would like to see paintings or even hear a TV in the background, the sound of the overhead lights humming is kinda wierd.“

“Kevin's Noodle House is a mid-tier Vietnamese restaurant that is very popular and an anchor store for this plaza. They have a very good variety of dishes from soup noodles (pho, fat rice noodles and egg noodles) to rice plates and vermicelli bowls. Nothing stands out as unique though. They were really busy on a Friday for lunch with a small line outside. We had the #1, pho dac biet $13, #2 pho dac biet with beef balls $14.25 (L) and a wings $13. Everything tasted fine and the food came out fast. The staff here are hard working and I appreciate their service.“
