“Oh Alvarado Street Brewery, I love you. This is my favorite brewery at the moment, I enjoy most of their beer offerings. The patio out back is nice and they have a TV with the game on but it can be difficult to get a spot. The wait isn't completely terrible, for dinner we managed to get seated fairly quickly and for lunch we sat at the bar. I had their beet salad and split a pizza with my brother. The beet salad was great and the pizza was OK. For dinner it was packed and a little loud so it was kind of difficult to talk. We ended up coming back the next day after golf for some beers and their burger which was delicious. Great spot if you enjoy their beers.“

I got the falafel and baba plate with the spicy lemonade. It was super tasty. What I love about his one man show, is the dedication to this place, his love of food. We’re visiting the area primarily for golf, and our caddie told us that the Flying Fish Grill is his favorite restaurant in the area. We completely understand why! SO many “WOWs” in this meal from start to finish. We had the chips and ginger salsa, Calamari, Crab Tower, Salad, Sea Bass, and hot fudge sundae. Every. Single. Bite was amazing. And the service was the best we’ve experienced in the Monterey area. That’s saying a lot as we’re staying at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. “The is the best Chinese Food I have had in a long time. Based on the reviews I was expecting it to be good, but it was amazing! We never think to go out for Chinese food, but now we will. The Pu Pu Platter was a hit. Everyone loved it. The presentation was impressive and the food was even better. Everyone loved what they got and that is rare with this group. The portions were big. Every dish had a generous amount of meat. The pork fried rice even had huge chunks of pork that were delicious. The potstickers were cooked exactly how I like them, a little crispy on the bottom and chewy on the top. The pork filling was delicious. I was impressed with the size and quantity of Prawns in the Kung Pao Prawn dish. Also, one do the most flavorful and rich Kung Pao sauces I’ve ever tasted. I found myself looking around at what everyone else in the restaurant had ordered and it made me want to come back sooner than I had planned.“
