“Decent Taiwanese styled Chinese food located inside of the H Mart Plaza. It offers a wide range of dishes. It also has goose meat, which I used to love at this restaurant. They have now brought the goose dish back and I will try it on our next visit. On weekdays, it has a lunch special menu that offers a quick lunch at a reasonable price, including the Beef Noodle Soup. My rice noodle was fine, except it got a lot smaller than what I can remember. No thanks to inflation.“

“My five star rating is for the House Special Dragon Hair, also known as Dragon Whiskers, Dragon Beard, or Chayote Vines.
Served as a cold dish, it was fresh and crisp, definitely something you will crave again! I wish more restaurants served this vegetable entree!
As you can see below (I added photos for the entire Eat Joy Food menu) they have a massive menu of Taiwanese banquet style food options. So many items that it was a bit overwhelming but luckily we had a Taiwanese friend do the ordering for us.
As for ambiance, it’s average but the stinky tofu smell in the air was a bit tough to deal with. Pricing is a bit on the high end compared to Java Cafe (another Taiwanese spot nearby).“

“Yum! Affordable Taiwanese food in Rowland!!! $10.50 Cold Noodles is a must!! $13.99 for beef noodle soup, $8.99 Pork rice, $7.99 Boiled A Vegetable and other appetizers. Located down the walkway between the plaza's main buildings. No restroom. The Food District restroom was closed too when we visited. Takes credit card if order $25min. OG place with sticky tables, and such.
I'm not a fan of the Arcadia location. This location is way better. Everything was okay and mostly decent. And for the prices offered, I'd call it pretty amazing. There's tons of other Taiwanese shops around too. Competition is tough out here. We haven't tried other Taiwanese food around. Also we haven't really been around this area in years.
Orders out if the Popular section:
$8.99 Mushroom Sliced Pork Rice with Egg. This wasn't for me. It's okay. Kinda like the arcadia location. Its okay if you're buying a cheap meal.
$12.50 Pork Intestine Wrap Sausage. Not really what we expected. It's alot not sausage slices. Sausage has qq skin as expected but we probably wouldn't order this again.
$10.50 Cold Noodles is a MUST!! It was tasty and refreshing. I like that the sauce isn't thick like other places me. It doesn't remind me of Taiwan!
$8.99 Stinky Tofu had crispy skin and cabbage. If you add their chili oil with it, it's decent. I wouldn't eat this without the chili oil.
Snack section
$7.99 Boiled A Vegetable is simple. Great for ppl like me who enjoys A vegetable anytime. If you're particular about the qq/cooked precisely, this wonh be for you. But I'll order this again.
$7.50 Marinated Seaweed is decent. They have a good amount.
$13.99 Beef Stew Tendon Noodle (half meat and half tendon).
Broth was super flavorful. To some delicate Taiwanese eaters, it could be just a tad just more salty than expected. Meat was tender and tendon was soft. We'd order this again.
Overall, the cold noodles is a must. And the whole menu is priced well.“

“Great option for Chinese and/or Taiwanese food in the area. The restaurant is spacious and clean, with plenty of parking in the lot. The owner Stella was super kind, and it’s clear that a lot of thought was put into designing the menu so that there are options for everyone.
This time, I ordered dishes like the chili oil wontons, sweet and sour ribs, and eggplant with basil. The eggplant was tender with plenty of basil and was delicious with the rice, especially because the dish was on the oilier side (as classic eggplant dishes are). Wontons were pretty standard, slightly spicy. My favorite was the sweet and sour ribs—the breading was just thick enough for the hint of crunchy texture, and balance of sweet and sour was well done. The portion was reasonable for the price. Looking forward to being back.“

“It's definitely a different experience! First you get choices of meats, veggies, noodles from the fridge & you do your own mixing. They offer the soup base & you can ask for refills. They charge per the big plates that you get from the fridge. Worth the try! I consider this as a go to comfort food 😋“

“Finally sat down for breakfast at a place that we frequent!!! We always drop by to get their frozen dumplings because they are great value for money but we’ve never actually had their other items. So happy to finally sit down for breakfast. The soy beancurd was pretty good value for money. The serving was huge! The sugar syrup was a little sweet but I can imagine kids loving it. The daikon cake was crisp on the outside and very soft on the inside. The sweet rice roll was really interesting. Love it! It was soooo filling though!“

“The place was very empty when I got there, therefore we were able to be seated quickly. The food was fresh and it was tasty. I was worried and checked the ratings online to make sure it was legit. lol.
The bad part is that there isn’t enough workers so it’s hard to get their attention when they’re cooking.
Other than that it was excellent.“

“You came back hungry and got the perfect welcome — a spread that looks both filling and delicious. 🍣🥗
On the long plate, you’ve got a mix of sushi varieties:
• A beef-topped gunkan (ground or marinated beef wrapped with seaweed).
• A spicy minced topping, likely spicy tuna or spicy salmon.
• Grilled eel (unagi) with that glossy sweet soy glaze.
• Shrimp nigiri with a touch of sauce.
• At the bottom, wrapped in plastic, looks like a musubi — rice with grilled meat or spam, perfect for later.
On the side, a fresh salad with crisp lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, and dressing — and best part, it’s unlimited. 🥗✨
By the last picture, you’ve also got a dipping sauce ready and a sushi roll off to the side, so you’re set for a feast.
If you walked into this starving, that first bite must have hit the spot.“

“Simple Taiwanese lunch bentos, generally $11 each (since March 2024 I believe), cash only. Check the Facebook page for the daily menu. There is one option each for chicken, pork, or fish. Additionally, I believe you can call in ahead of time to order a fried pork chop (no walk-in orders for that). Each bento comes with a small soup. Flavors are on the lighter side; if you prefer stronger flavors, you might not enjoy these bentos.“

“We ordered a ton of food, and every dish was seriously yummy! The staff hooked us up with some great recommendations too—the stir-fried beef was super tender, and the chow mein was packed with goodies. Loved it all! The mung bean soup? Perfect for beating the summer! prices is friendly…“

“I can't help but express how much I wish we had something like that here in my hometown of El Paso! I had the opportunity to enjoy this incredible food while in California for just a couple of days, and I couldn't resist going back for more. “Bring cash!! Cheap, very casual OG type of Taiwanese dishes. Our friends suggested this place for Taiwanese pork chops $13.95! Hole in the wall/ghetto fab type joint with the owner chiling in the front dining area with a lawn chair and fan haha No restroom. Aycdrink cold water and tea, and hot tea in the front of the cashier area. They don't take credit cards.
The place seems like it could be sticky but tables and chairs were clean. There is ac inside was cool enough for a hot 85F day outside.
Bamboo shoot $7.95 was warm and good.
Popcorn chicken. They ran out of pigs ear. Their popcorn chicken was really good! Not spicy.
Pork Chop Rice $13.95. Comes with rice and veggies. The pork chop was a little dry but the crisp was there. Probably because it's a thinner cut type which is normal perfect then.
All 3 dishes with tax, and 20% dinner tip to be $39ish.“

“Unexpectedly good personal shabu shabu here in this little cafe! The portion is very large for the price. It's already cooked and ready to eat. Meat and veggies are very tender and the broth is perfect. I think other dishes are just OK. Kung pao chicken was not very authentic. Tea is quite strong, but also quite impressive about the scent. Boba was less than what I expected from a place known for boba.“

“I don't usually eat Thai food. The spices just aren't my favorite. My preferences lean towards Korean, Chinese, Japanese, fillipino. That being said the food was very very good. We got egg rolls, scallion pancake, fried fish balls, beef handmade noodle soup, and minced pork dry noodles. I was surprised how some of the flavors reminded me of things I love from distinctly Non-Thai cultures. Service was great for there being 1 guy trying to do everything. I'm not demanding or entitled, so I had no problem practicing a little patience. That being said nothing took long and I never felt neglected. I'd strongly recommend for Thai food lovers. It was a positive experience considering Thai isn't my thing. I would eat there again.“

“Bought frozen food from here 1st time. Great food. Hope they have more options in frozen items in the future. I will definitely buy more in the future. One suggestion: Vacuum seal bag must be sealed securely especially the soup base. My beef stew soup and chicken noodle bags are leaking 😕. Luckily I have ziplock bag on each item before I put in my freezer. Otherwise my refrigerator will be all wet after I defrost my item in my refrigerator.“

“Been coming here for years, it’s the place you go for that home cooked Taiwanese style meal. It’s simple, never too busy, and the service is quick. Restaurant has a good amount of seating inside and outside.
My only complaint really is that all meals regardless of dine in or take out are served in disposable containers. Parking is easy in the plaza and prices are fair for most of the items
My favorite dish is the red grain pork rice. I dont think I can get this anywhere else. The plate is perfect, with the cabbage, rice, minced pork, and some pickled items. Portions are perfect. I always have extra red grain pork to take home and they’re perfect to throw in an air fryer for a few minutes.
Their noodle dishes are delicious as well, I forgot what it’s called, but the alcoholic chicken soup is that perfect comfort dish on a cold day too.
Popcorn chicken is a good appetizer, crispy with the perfectly fried basil. It has pepper but I do wish there was an option for actual spiciness
One thing we did order and wouldn’t order again from previous visits is the chicken roll. For what you get, the price just isn’t worth it, small portion“

“We got the beef & beef tendons& beef tripe with rice noodles mild spicy but honestly I ordered some chili paste to make it more spicy. We also got a side of Inoke mushrooms wrapped in beef were really good and it’s tasted so good if you put them in the broth of the beef soup. We also got the strawberry oolong tea drink and that made the food taste even better. The sweet lady who served us was helpful and nice. She even gave us water as we waited for our food. Seats are limited so first come first serve but dining in was a good experience. In total we spent 57$ for all of that.“

“The vegetable chow mein was good and I recommend it. It settled well in my stomach. The orange chicken and rice were okay. I would return for the chow mein — the orange chicken wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. The restaurant has a somewhat run-down vibe, but perhaps that’s just the economy.“

“We have heard of this new Taiwanese restaurant for a while. We ordered the crispy chicken cutlet, popcorn chicken and of course the yam balls. Chain store drinks are sometimes questionable but the gentleman recommended their fruit teas, so we ordered one.
The restaurant was clean and airy, the customer service was quite nice. We both liked their crispy chicken cutlet, it's very crunchy, the only downside is the size. The popcorn chicken was meh... There's not much flavor and the crunch was missing. We've tried better popcorn chickens in Taiwan so, our standard is a bit higher?
The yam balls were chewy and delicious. But the portion was really small (for the price). Overall, we will be back for the chicken cutlets as they're quite good and for other items on the menu we haven't tried.“

“Green Shaker by Ten Ren is a cozy spot for bubble tea and light bites in Walnut. Their drink menu is extensive. Snacks like the popping fish balls and popcorn chicken add a tasty, casual touch, though food quality can be hit-or-miss compared to the drinks. Service is generally friendly, and the space has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that’s great for hanging out or studying. Prices are reasonable. Green Shaker delivers a satisfying experience—especially if you’re here mainly for the tea.“

“I come here for the lunch special ($12.25 with the option of fried fish or friend pork chop, along with tea, rice, and two side dishes as a combo - available 7 days a week!). They have a point system too but lunch special can't get you points. Nice pastries and bakery items with some simple dishes already prepared on the deli counter as well. Many frozen food items but they are all expensive to me, though the quality are good. Kind and helpful staff. But I'm not sure why their grade for health department has gone down to a numeric score of 69 when I visited last Friday. I am a bit worried but didn't see anything that I should be concerned about. Clean restroom, and has some tables and chairs if you want to dine in.“
“I just just opened a bag of the ground pork original flavor and consumed the whole 12oz bag in two days! A tad sweet & sticky for me, texture was Great though! Ordered three more 12oz bags to try the other flavors?“

“Tasty dishes.
First time here with family.
The establishment is pretty much self-service based with a large open dining area with communal tables in the middle and two seat booths along the side walls.
Ordered their combo dumpling bowl with hot & sour soup, pork chop, house noodles, mala spicy beef noodles soup, and oolong milk tea with Bob and pudding.
Place order via kiosk. It was easy to navigate and see what the dish you're ordering looks like.“

“Chicha San Chen has always been one the popular boba place originated from Taiwan a few years ago and the trend / brand was brought to the States. They are known for their high quality tea.
When it first opened in San Gabriel, I was so happy because 626 finally has a known, high quality tea brand that open here. There are many boba shops in the 626 but their drink is just average. If you have been to Asian, especially Taiwan or hong kong, their milk teas/tea depending on the style you like amazes you. The taste and quality of those boba shops can’t compare. Are they bad though? No of course not but you always want crave for the best one right?
This place is one of the best ones. Good tea quality, hot and perfect sweetness boba and other drink refreshers. There are always super long lines regardless of which store it is. Not going to be a big difference here with the wait as you can expect is 9/10 times when you come. Thats the only negative comment I would say about this place and other store locations.
This particular location is small and long lines are expected. Drinks are great just like other stores. I’m happy that the quality of their drinks didn’t just dip after opening a few locations in US. The reason is usually when a popular brand is brought from other countries and after opening different locations, they tend to drop ( service, quality and taste ), not with them though! They stay consistent!
Keep it up CHICHA San Chen!!“

“Mama Lu's Dumpling House in the City of Industry is the perfect place for some delicious Chinese and Taiwanese cuisine, and it's easy to see why. The restaurant has a lively, family-friendly atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. My recent visit was a perfect example of their reputation for serving up generous portions of quality food. My family loves this place for their delicious yet super cheap eats!
A classic is their Juicy Pork Dumplings and Soup-filled Shu Mai; these dumplings are the stars of the show, living up to their name with a flavorful broth and tender filling. For something with a kick, the Spicy Wontons were a definite highlight, with a rich, aromatic sauce that had the perfect amount of heat.
The main courses were equally impressive. The Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice was a savory and well-balanced dish, while the Salt and Pepper Tofu Fish had a wonderfully crispy exterior and a soft, delicate inside. They were having a special where this dish was only $9.99!! The Beef Wrap was amazing, a delicious green onion pancake filled with tender beef and fresh veggies and loads of sauce! For greens, we chose their Sautéed Baby Bok Choy, a simple but perfectly prepared vegetable dish that provided a nice, fresh contrast to the other rich flavors.
The service was prompt and attentive, and our food arrived quickly. Mama Lu's lives up to its reputation for serving authentic, delicious food that is perfect for a group. I can't wait to go back and try more of their extensive menu.“
